crews are on the scene right here in torresdale. that section of philadelphia. after a body was discovered in the delaware around is 1:00 thinning movement -- 11:00 this morning, recovery operation going on at the linden avenue boat launch. no further information is known right now, about the identity or cause of death at this time. developing right now, jurors continue to deliberate the fate of chaka fattah, jr., the son of embattled canning man, sat an if a that, on charges he defrauded bang, irs and the philadelphia school district. jurors spent 30 minute deliberating yesterday before going home. during closing arguments, federal prosecutors call fattah, jr., scam artist. representing himself, insisted his businesses were legitimate. >> we're told the number of voters was up nearly 5% over for years ago in the city of philadelphia. the city's mayor-elect jim kenney doesn't officially take offers until january. but he's already got big plans for the city. south philadelphia where kensy announcing new vision, todd, good afternoon. >> reporter: good afternoon, erika and you know it is no coincidence that mayor-elect jim kenney chose an elementary school here in south philadelphia to hold his first media briefing, posse election victory last night, jim kenney arrived here via a cab, just shortly after 11:00 this morning. he dressed the media and recovered a wide range of topics including his transition team, and what he looks forward to accomplishing his first year in office. of course, the schools and pre-k tops his list. and just short while ago we talked to mayor-elect jim kenney about some of his thoughts and plans for expanding pre-k for all children in the city of philadelphia. january start, and again, the first order of business is the budget. and then we, in that budget, we will be addressing pre k and the needs, folks there talking to pre k providers he is lent pre k providers now.

after an all out manhunt, and emotional funeral, official now say the officer's death was all to cover up a lack of crime. correspondent marlie hall has the details. >> reporter: authorities in fox lake, illinois say the death of lieutenant joe glennwits was carefully staged suicide. >> we have determined this staged suicide was the end result of extensive criminal acts that glennwits had been committing. >> after reviewing thousands of text messages, phonecalls, and emails, investigators have determined glennwits was stealing and laundering money. >> thousands of dollars were used by glennwits for personal purchases, travel expenses, mortgage payments, personal gym memberships, adult websites. >> the highly decorated officer was on patrol in september when he was shot with his own weapon. glennwits had radioed that he was chasing three suspects on foot, before his body was found. that sparked a massive manhunt

dead in a accident in bucks count that i happened earlier this morning. chopper three over the scene in the 1700 block of bustleton pike in upper southampton. fire dispatch says the crash happened just before 10:00 a.m. it involved one vehicle, that sustained extensive front-end and windshield damage. at this point, investigators do not know what caused that crash. the delaware county iguana we first told but yesterday, lost owner, have now been re united. this noon, collingdale police confirm the pet's own hers been trying to locate the loss lizard for several days. the 4-foot long iguana was discovered sunday, rita's water ice parking lot in collingdale tuesday afternoon. police are now interviewing the pet's owner to determine if any ordinances were violated. good to know he's back home. >> coming up on "eyewitness news" this noon, some disturbing allegations about the nurse who was in charge of bobbi kristina's care in her final days. police say she was a fake. and something sweet that could be deadly to your dog, a

stunning day out there. just philadelphia celebrating sunshine, kutztown, we head 72 degrees, beautiful, i saw kids out here playing soccer, notice that the winds is nice and calm, too, that just helps on pretty day. yesterday we hit 76, and it was the warmest november day since november 16th, 2005. so ten years since we've had november day, that warmth. what happens happened is our jet stream has taken little trip to the north. what it has done is opened the door for all of this warm air to come in, and that's what's keeping us ten to 15 degrees above average, so, we were, can you imagine, in the 60s on monday, that was above average, we should be about 606 this time of year. seventy-six yesterday. i think either hit that or beat it today. as you can see, 70s all the way through friday. now, we are going to see some changes in our forecast. but friday, i want to point out, we could potentially see some records. these are the records to beat on friday. seventy-nine in wilmington, about 77 in trenton, and of course mount pocono, bunch

cooler, today right now already sitting at 75 degrees in philadelphia, 67 in mount pocono, about 72 in wildwood. everyone is warming up, down the shore, beautiful in ocean city, 656 cape may, how about that, 73 degrees, live look at storm scan3 shows you those beautiful blue skies, and they're just pervasive, as we zoom out, do you see little disturbance to the south. now, that is going to track a little bit after sprinkle toward us, as we get into our thursday. so just to show you how this works out, high pressure in control right now. that system to the south is going to start scooting up. at we get into thursday, just few sprinkles, does not knock our 70s out of the way. by friday, warm, breezy, again, that very warm day where we could see record setting territory. but cold front, heading toward us, that means, we will get some rain ahead of it, that will be thursday night into friday, and then lingering shower or rather friday night into saturday, then lingering shower on your saturday, we finally start to cool down a bit. just to show this is thursday morning 8:00 a.m. there is a few sprinkles coming through on thursday. as you can see, not bad.

we head into our friday morning, few more skirting the shore, and then, this is when we get the heavier showers rolling in, that's friday night into saturday before it finally starts to clear out, set us up for the weekends. rain chances mostly sprinkles, friday night into saturday that we start to see the action there from the rain. but today get out, enjoy it if you k76 degrees, simply beautiful, lot of sunshine, and as you can see, our over night low nod bat bad. fifty-five, clouds will start moving in tonight. take a look at the seven day forecast, pretty nice, those 70s roll through friday, but again that rainy wet letter start to be part of the forecast, friday night into saturday. i think tomorrow really is just a few sprinkles. how much, want to point out, that the week send not looking bad at all. we will start to clear out saturday morning, 64 for hi, and then sunday beautiful sunshine, love it. fantastic. so missing fall weather wait until sunday, right? >> there go. >> thank, kai l time to take your philadelphia job market report. cbs news business analyst jill schlessinger takes a look at some carreers where workers are getting some nice raises. >> well, annual wage gains had
