thursday, november 5th i'm erika von tiehl. i'm nicole brewer. justin has your forecast. in fact, he is outside on the sky deck. and meisha keeping an eye on the road. >> yes, we are dealing with some fog. we can see in the camera. i will touch base on that as well as an accident and overnight construction project. when will this fog get out of the way. >> a a few more hours, not until mid-morning. it is starting to feel damp that moist air mass starting to move off the the atlantic ocean. we are dealing with fog. you can still see buildings behind me but that fog trying to settle in center city. check this out we have a dense fog advisory for philadelphia, surrounding suburbs and then all of new jersey and delaware. this goes until 10:00 o'clock this morning. it will take sometime until we can warm the temperatures up that will scour out this fog but look at the fog starting to increase, delaware, right now, dover, visibility, up .3 of a mile. two and a half at the atlantic city airport, three in millville. this is fluctuating over past hour or so but you might encounter some deep pockets of

fog so allow extra drive time this morning. fifty-seven at the airport. forty-nine millville. fifty-three in allentown. we have included cover this morning. that acts as a blanket keeping us milder then yesterday. little disturbance coming through bringing the clouds and little bit of the rain coming out of of the chesapeake bay in the western counties of chester. maybe a few sprinkles. this is nothing heavy. this will pass by in the morning and afternoon. threat for a shower is there school day forecast, cloud, fog this morning, temperatures in the 50's early. lower 70's by 3:00. we will give it a b minus today for lack of sunshine and high of 72 for philadelphia 69 with the dense morning fog. still not bad at 65. then we're talking about near record warmth for tomorrow, again that forecast in a few more minutes but lets head to meisha for a check of the morning drive. >> thanks, justin. >> whenever we have visibility issues such as fog or rain, i would advise maybe just leaving earlier. we are starting to see that. you can see that slight haze,

95 southbound. moving in the northbound direction i-95 northbound, pulled off to the shoulder up here you can see we have an accident, again they are pulled off to the shoulder, not causing too many slow downs but again sometimes what we run into with dense fog like we will of today it can cause significant backups. forty-two freeway for those in new jersey, 42 freeway north bound at creek road approaching 295 looking good, really mellow. we will see that heat up and my advice would be to give yourself a couple extra minutes because of the fog. ben franklin bridge looking beautiful for those coming in the westbound direction, eastbound we will not have problems with you all day long. very busy in that way. construction, cherry hill new jersey route 70 westbound before cooper landing road that left lane is block until around 6:00 a a.m. i will let you know when that does clear and 495 north off ramp is closed at terminal avenue until next friday, in 14th, erika, over to you. developing right now a shooting in a norristown apartment complex. two people are dead and police

are investigating how this happened. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live near the scene for us, justin, good morning. >> reporter: we're on the 700 block of sandy street outside park place apartments and we are told focus of the crime scene investigation at this point is a a second floor apartment. at this building here. we're also told a person of interest has been identified and is speaking go to police. but lets go to video from last night. this was the scene shortly after calls about the shooting came in, as you can see, ambulances and police responded. the two found here were pronounced dead. they have not been identified at this time. reports of the shooting, came in around 11:20 to norristown police and early indication is that this could have been an attempted break in or confrontation of some sort. we're also hearing a child may have been present, although in reports of any injuries to a child or anyone else have come into us at this time. we are back out here live on sandy street showing you a in

mercury sedan that was about 45 minutes ago, roped off by police and it is unclear who that car belongs to but as you can see it is now part of the police investigation. we have seen some possible loved ones show up to the scene here and talk to authorities. they have been ushered away a at this time but again we know at this hour two are dead and that possibly a person of interest, a person who may have seen this happies talking to the the police at this time. we will bring you much more as we get it. we are live from norristown, i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". justin, thank you. new this morning a ten year-old boy from the juniata section of philadelphia a is recovering after he was shot by a paint ball gun walking to the 7-eleven with his family. police say that boy, his father and brother were walking near k and east luzerne street around 11:30 last night when a car pulled up and someone in the car opened fire on them. that boy was hit near the eye and rush to st. christopher's

hospital. >> the shooter, who was described to have been in the rear seat on the passenger side, fired shots from the opened window and the family described that shooter as wearing a mask. so, we have no description on this shooter. >> chief inspector small says there are surveillance cameras in that area and they may have caught an image of those suspects. we're getting new information this morning on a small plane that took off from philadelphia and crashed off of queens, new york. nypd said they have recovered a body. the sources a say that is believed to be a two seater was on its way to maine yesterday evening. a call are reported a flash in the sky, and police found debris about a mile and a half off shore. happening today, pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane heads to a harrisburg courtroom in connection with the jerry sandusky child sex abuse case. sandusky's lawyer will question kane about potential grand jury leaks involving the judge or prosecutors. sandusky, a former penn state

"eyewitness news" will be in harrisburg to see what comes out of this hearing. meanwhile jury in the bank and tax fraud trial of the chaka fattah junior resumes its deliberations for the third day. yesterday's jurors spent 90 minutes listening to secretly recorded conversations between the congressman's son and his one time business associate and former roommate. fattah junior is reportedly heard boosting of his casino winnings and business decision. people worried about safety on the schuylkill river trail can speak up in a meet to go day. at least three women say they have been inappropriately touched while jogging on that trail. in all of the cases a woman says a teenage boy on the bike rode up and touched them. councilman johnson is hosting the meeting on the fourth floor of the city hall starting at 1:00 o'clock. philadelphia mayoral elect jim kenney will announce his transition team. he is hinting when he is replacing police commissioner charles ramsey he will promote

from within. kenney says when he takes office in january the budget will be priority number one. he has discussed creating i plan to fund universal prek and wants feedback from residents on the issues. >> we also will be holding neighborhood town halls to collect ideas from philadelphia a families who are critical to making our policies successful. >> the results from those town halls will be available in january, the administration announcements are expect around thanksgiving. well, this morning the first funerals take place for victims of the the airplane that crashed over egypt as correspondent jonathan vigliotti tells us, u.s. officials are considering the possibility that isis was involved in bringing that jet liner down. >> reporter: mourners gathered in russia to say good bye to one of the 224 victims, killed in last weekend's plane crash over egypt's sinai peninsula. first funeral comes as authorities continue to investigate what brought the plane down. u.s. intelligence officials say there is a possibility

that isis or an affiliate planted a bomb on the flight but some experts caution more information is needed. >> either, forensic evidence, bomb residue or bomb frag meant or conversation among isis members that are specific enough to give you confidence that they were actual any on a plot. >> reporter: isis has insisted it did cause the crash, releasing an audio tape wednesday daring investigators to prove otherwise. the flight was traveling from sharm el-sheikh when it traveled and broke apart in midair 23 minutes after take off. out of an abundance of caution officials in the u.s. have suspended flights from the egyptian resort stranding thousands of passengers. >> we have to put the safety and security of the british nationals above all other considerations. >> reporter: authorities in russia have questioned whether isis is to blame, the country has been carrying out air strikes against a group in syria and new plans to send

reading, trenton. mid 07's in wilmington. lower 07's near the shore. that is about 20 degrees, average for philadelphia 19 in reading. sixteen in trenton. you get the picture. fifteen to 20 degrees above average yesterday. tomorrow we will be close to those numbers once again. there is fog, again, problems generally south central new jersey into delaware, look at dover's visibility less than a half mile, 1.7 in millville, still okay around philadelphia at four but beware of area of patchy dense fog. the disturbance in the upper atmosphere seeing some showers, in chester county might run into a few sprinkles over next few hours. thinks trend through morning and afternoon. it depend where you are. nothing heavy though. temperatures low to mid 50's for most locations. fifty-seven at the airport. those clouds holding in the warmth. today mostly cloudy skies this morning, fog, a stray shower, lower 07's for a high. tomorrow we are close to record temperatures again in the upper 70's maybe some spots hit 80 in the afternoon and then this front will come through friday night bringing in a few showers around, it

cools us back for the weekend in the mid 60's saturday and then 50's returning on sunday. certainly feels more like november coming in the second half of the weekend. today cloud, fog this morning, couple spotty showers break out, from the morning in the afternoon. tonight we will hold the cloud around areas of fog, around friday morning and then friday afternoon we will see breaks in the clouds and we will get some sunshine. that warms us up. showers later friday night. temperatures today lower 70's for the warm spots at best. because of the lack of sunshine, mild 50's and 60's. look at the that tomorrow, mid 70's and warm spots, today though, pretty warm 72 for this time of the year after morning fog and then tonight, cloud, sprinkle 60 degrees, extended forecast. seventy-eight on friday. then it is closer to average, 50's on sunday and we will keep it mild into next week, is what the latest. >> seventy's today but dealing with that fog today, certainly good morning everyone. happy thursday to you. as you can see from this picture 95 northbound the ramps to woodhaven road.

plenty of fog in and around this area looking at our cameras this morning we are seeing fog in most areas especially areas that will impact some of your traffic today. i will show you one area that is clearly not helping us this morning. we're dealing with an accident right there, all the way pulled off to the shoulder not causing slow downs but for those driving in the northbound direction this is i-95 north before street road, pulled again all the way off to the shoulder but with visibility issues i can tell you right now this can certainly slow us down if that doesn't move out of our way sometime quickly. i-95 south at cottman if you come around here you will net is it is looking good right now but we are dealing with the fog here on cottman. just a couple minutes ago when we pulled up that camera it was really can i to see. this is where we have construction cherry hill new jersey route 70 westbound before cooper landing road. now this particular area only the left lane is block right now, it is scheduled to lift around 6:00 a.m. a and has in the done so yet the but i will let you know when it does. back over to you.

all of the new jersey, delaware and around philadelphia, again, it will take sometime to warm temperatures up, to scour out these fog. .3 of a mile, dover, delaware. back up to five a the atlantic city airport. four in philadelphia the just beware. a allow a few extra minutes in your ride and work to school. temperatures holding mid 50's north and west, upper 50's in philadelphia. cool spot is millville at 49. fifty doylestown. we have clouds acting as a blank this morning. head up for showers west of the city, this could drop visability as well. all light chester county up in the lehigh valley a a few sprinkles. this is the trend throughout the morning and afternoon. these are pushing off to the north and east. nothing heavy. may want to add jacket, umbrella around to be safe. watch out for dense fog, shower, we will slow it down, getting better in the afternoon. still can't rule out a sprinkle just mostly cloudy skies. break it down, and waking up in the 50's. we will be in the0'
