now. justin, i give it to you, then we take it on the roadways again. >> sounds good. broke out the umbrella out here, you need it, you can see the steady rain here in center city, that's going to be the trends through this morning, and there will be some rain heavy at times specially just south and east of the city. so heads up along the new jersey turnpike 295 and into burlington county right now seeing the pockets of heavy rain. into the afternoon, may get few breaks, you can see, not much happening around the baltimore-washington area. but, don't let that fool you. later on this evening, into tonight, another round every rain will move through. looks like the steady, heavy rain, will be during the morning hours for that morning ride. so periods of rain, some of that heavy at times, overall amount, from the storm system, half inch, maybe up to inch in some spots, before the storm pulls out of here. through the overnight hours. it is breezy, as well, winds out of the northwest up to 15 miles per hour with higher gusts and again the morning and evening commutes will be impacted. temperature wise, not cold. yes, we have the rain around. makes it feel little cold. low 60s this morning, in south jersey. to the low and mid 50's, around the city and the

suburbs. overall visibility, okay, at 5 miles per hour at the airport, no issues of fog. you will be dealing with a lot of road spray out there, on the highways, ponding on the roads, so slow it down, just allow extra drive time. use common sense. high today only up to 62 degrees, with off and on periods every rain, at low 60s at the shore, and 50's up in the poconos. again, some breaks in the afternoon, but that rain just returns for tonight. we talk about when things dry out, the full forecast coming up in a few minutes, over to meisha. >> good morning, yes there is rain is certainly the wet roadways are causing us some real problems out on the roadways now this one, we have an accident, jackknife tractor-trailer, in fact, we have two of them, two different areas on this stretch of 95, moving in the southbound direction, this is just after cottman. and lock at this, all lanes are block. you are not moving on 995 southbound, which happenings ton one of our busier interstates in the morning. not moving. all lanes blocked. this is back up camera. take a look at this, 95 southbound at cottman, this is one on good

day, i bring up all the time, let you know waist going on, because it slows down the quickest at 6:00 a.m. again you are not moving. sitting at your homes and even thinking about getting on 95, do not do that. here is a look at 95 southbound academy, again, back up all the way to academy. now the two jackknife tractor-trailers like i said are past cottman. this is back up all the way to academy. and there is real now one in site. i don't know until they get that cleared out of the way how all of these drivers already on 95, unless you are near an exit, you are not moving. so you are trapped in there. so just make note of that. do not go that direction if at all possible again, there is that accident, the talcony palmyra scheduled to open at 6:00 a.m. this is blanked out camera. but i'll let you know it is scheduled to open at any moment. also an accident, swedesboro, new jersey, with minor injuries. monroe ville road before the new jersey turnpike. i'll have another update coming up in about 15 minutes, erika, back to you. >> workers at this mcdonald's in north philadelphia are walking off the job. it is happening on the 3100 block of west allegheny, this

is part of a nationwide demand to increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour. looking liver, don't see any activity quite yet, but we are keeping an eye on t rally at city hall is planned. workers and other industries will take part today, including home care, and airport employees. also, happening today, pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane will be in montgomery county courtroom for a preliminary hearing. kane is facing charges of perjury, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice. she has been under investigation for allegedly leaking secret grand jury information in order to embarrass political foe, and then later lying about it. >> a man who allegedly robbed two banks in center city made one big mistake. police say that this alleged robber tried to flee in a cab. investigators say, that man robbed the td bank on 11th and chestnut, then the pnc bang on market. then though he hopped in this cab, and the driver took him, where else, but right to police headquarters.

seatbelt fits an average child, in just about any vehicle. >> what we are looking for is that the lap belt sits low, across the top of the thighs. it is not riding up on the soft tummy. and the shoulder belt needs to sit snuggly at the center of the shoulder, shouldn't be falling offer the shoulder or riding up on the neglect or face. >> but word to parents, do your research. there are still older, non-recommend the booster seats for sale, through many on-line vendors. the iihs is calling on makers of s older models, that are not recommended to discontinue them. but if you have one, keep it, the institute says, crash tests proof it is better to have a booster seat than none at all. >> is her kay, turns out having a booster seat in the back of your car, for a child, can reduce their risk of injury in a car crash up to 45%, they also don't have the cost a lot of money, they can cost as little as $15, even good model, and also, too, they are recommended for kids ages four to eight, sometimes as old as 12.

too. >> i don't need that, come on, i'm man, you know better. i don't even need an umbrella no, had to break it out today. it is raining pretty good out there. that's the story specially this morning, pockets of heavy rain now, coming through northern burlington county, another wave of heavy rain, cape may county, new jersey, right now, breaks up little bit. chester, northern montgomery into bucks county but still steadiest rain specially from the city on south and east, should get few more breaks, this afternoon, but then again the evening, another rounds every rain comes through. here's what we had so far. over half inch of west cape may, this morning, dover, delaware, .36 in mt. holly, philadelphia closing in on quarter inch, half inch maybe up to inch in some locations specially south jersey. temperatures though somewhat mild. we're in the low 60s at this hour, delaware, south jersey, mid 50's, palmyra. ooh up in chalfont. again cooler northward suburbs, fog terribly cold. just have the rain jacket an umbrella around. storm cakes its time to get out of here. really after midnight, we finally dry things out, back to sunshine around on your wednesday, veterans day, into

thursday. more shower chances return with that front. then we bring you some 50's, cooler air returns friday, into the upcoming weekends. into the afternoon again, some of the steady rain breaks up little bit. lunch break, may find some dry spots. but into the evening hours, here we go again. another rounds of steadier showers pull in, 2:00 a.m., 3:00 a.m., dry air starts to return, back to some sunshine on wednesday. so not full sun. as far as the temperatures go, close to average through the rest of the week, jet stream to the north, weekends we so cold pocket of air coming in from canada. settles little southwards. we get another shot of some 50's, in our forecast, for the afternoon high. today periods every rain, breezy, 62, for tonight we drop to 50 degrees, rain ends after midnight. that extended forecast, low and mid 60s, through thursday. we cool it down for the weekends, sunshine, with some clouds around saturday, sunday, highs mid 50's, so nice stuff. fall days ahead this weekend. >> absolutely, little rain, got to keep things green out there. >> oh, rain, rain, go away. >> bad timing.

>> good morning, everyone. so i want to get right in this, let you know two tractor-trailers, causing backups on 95 southbound. this is past cottman. southbound direction interstate 59 you are not moving. so i just want to stress that point on 95, if you are thinking about taking inlet state 95, moving in the southbound direction, you are not moving. take a look at this. you can see, i've been talking about this now for about 20 minute, again, there is two jackknife tractor-trailers, with issues, clogging all of this mess, just moments ago, looking at back up camera, seeing even the northbound lanes on that area, being impacted because of. >> this now, this is back up camera like i said. ninety-five southbound at cottman, camera shot that we usually look at in the morning, just because it is busiment take a look, almost just weird, to see picture lining this on interstate. you are not moving in all lanes. once you get on 95, and if there is no exit right by you, because you are not moving, all lanes block, can you not get off, literally trapped.

now, this is 95 south, approaching academy. so you can see, this flood of vehicles now getting on the interstate, you're getting trapped upright around right here. again, approaching academy, so it is back up all the way until there. do not leave your homes to enter 95 interstate 95 right now if you can. and this is another accident, that we have in chesterfields township new jersey. a car hit pole. we've got some downed wires in this area. police are on scene. and the roads are closed so you certainly want to avoid this area if at all possible. this accident in swedesboro, new jersey has been now cleared, which is good, then i have an update on that water main break coming up in about 15 minutes. erika, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. still ahead this morning, starbucks extends its free tuition benefits, we will tell how can now go to college for free. >> and it is a controversial issue in youth sports. is it safe to head the ball during soccer games? this morning the us soccer federation is out with a brand new recommendation. we have that for when you we come right back.

>> police shows two officers napping in their patrol car. they say the picture of the unidentified officers was taken by a civilian at undisclosed location in the 24th police district, that covers part of kensington and port richmond. >> an investigation is underway, and the appropriate disciplinary action will take

place. >> lieutenant stanford went on to say that the photo sends the wrong message about the hard work so many officers put in every single day. >> comedian bill cosby is hit with another lawsuit. a new hampshire woman filed the defemation lawsuit against the entertainer yesterday. the suit alleges cosby falsely accused her of lying when she came forward last year and accused him of raping her in 1965. that lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. dozens of women have come forward, in recent years, to accuse cosby of sexual assault, spanning decades. football practice is set to resume today at the university of missouri. the announcement comes the day after president tim wolf resigned. some 30 black football players went on strike, in support of fellow student, who called for wolf's resignation over his handling every racist incidents on campus. 6:41 right now, coming up: significant new study on blood pressure, could lead to new guidelines. find out why some doctors say this one really is a game

right now, heavy rain, then we get break this afternoon, maybe lunch hour, some spots will be dry. but then rain picks up once again. you can see that second batch of rain, across the ohio valley. that's actually the up earl level portion of the storm. that will roll through, later on tonight, and then again finally after midnight or so, we finally start to dry things out. and we will see some sunshine returning to our forecast tomorrow, but for today, periods every rain, some showers around in the afternoon, steadiest rain, south and east of the city, northeast winds, ten to 15, gusting to 30 at the coast, slow travel today, ponding on the roads, so on the roads, giving red light this morning, for those pocket of heavy rain specially just south of the city, already seeing the accidents out there. afternoon, yes, yellow light slow, breezy, showers breaks at times, more rain turns tonight. temperatures, somewhat mild. low mid 50's from philly on northward, then around 60, into south jersey, along the coastline, visibilities, overall, are okay. 3 miles in wildwood, seven at the airport in philadelphia, so not big issue with fog.

but you will be dealing with the road spray. for the children today, again, overall, d for the school day forecast, 57 degrees, at 8:00. by 3:00, 61, still showers around, really any time through the day today. we make it up to 62 for the high temperature, low 60s at the shore, low 50's in the poconos, we will talk about the dry weather and some model temperatures still in the seven day forecast, details in a few minutes. but the latest on all of the accident out there with meisha a good morning. >> yes, good morning, justin, good morning to all of you at home. if you are just wake up with us, and you have not heard the news right now, you certainly want to avoid interstate 95 moving in the southbound direction. now, what we have, what you are looking at, is two jackknife tractor-trailers, 95 southbound, after cottman, and this is right now blocking all lanes, you are not moving. we did see few lucky drivers sneaking past, but you can see, we do have people out of their vehicles, walking around, probably cleaning up some debris in the southbound

stylist. how did you get into this? how did you start creating this? >> basically santos gonzalez, the founder and ceo of the company, approached me, you know, about a year ago, with this idea. and the idea really is cool. it is really neat. i've been doing it for ten years, going to client's houses, make being they will feel like a million bucks, but jeff had the ability to put the tech side of things together with the beauty industry side. and santos had the gal. nis if you would say to take this on. >> so convenient. not just for people who maybe don't have, you know, all the time to get out but people who maybe cannot get out. >> listen, my wife just ordered my app, regina just orders err me now, and my two daughters just did it, as women. that's how easy it is to do. i have four and six year old that order more services than anybody on the app right now. >> you can go in and click on people's bios, see what they do, their prices, their location, really is all inclusive. >> you can basically read about anything. you read their bio's being

players suspected of concussions can remain in games. these new rules are in response to lawsuit over concussions filed last year. also, on your health watch this morning, important new research shows decreasing blood pressure below current standards, can save lives, and prevent more heart attacks. health reporter stephanie stahl reports that new magic number could be 120. >> you never would guess mary was once near death with complications from high blood pressure. >> i am now at 69, much healthier than i was in my 40's. >> thanks to medication, and lifestyle changes, she's reduced her blood pressure significantly. now, a landmark study from the national institutes of health shows clear benefits to reducing blood pressure below 120 for the top number, among patients over the age of 50, who are at risk for heart disease. >> with this lower blood pressure, there was about a 35% relative risk production of cardiovascular disease. and that is tremendous.

we call that pre hypertension. so if you come in with 140, do i say erika, increase your activity, let's have you lose weight, that's the trick. this study showed in those that good the blood pressure 120 and below it significantly reduced the risk of death, of heart failure, and other cardio vascular disease. so it is very eye-catching. the trick is, do we treat everyone? is that the goal? because there are some significant side effect, getting it that low, and it often requires three or more medications. >> oh, i would which. >> so still have to look at the date a not published yet. very interesting. questioning what we should do. >> does this mean blood pressure can never really be too low, or is that still a problem. >> , no that's great point you made. because in this study one of the side effect to keeping that low specially as we get old is her passing out. also some abnormal blood values. so we have to work individually with each patient, see how they tolerate it, but this is eye catching regarding the results. we have to see are the side effect, results, how do we blerb, blends the two, to make it best for the patients.
