developing right now this noon a possible break in the case of a philadelphia teen, killed while riding a bike with his friend. police make two arrests in the murder of the 16 year-old salem west. i'm erika von tiehl. police say suspect in custody are just teens themselves. "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter joins us now at police headquarters with the very latest information, walt? >> reporter: well, erika homicide investigators tell me that the two suspects in custody a at homicide headquarters right behind me are both just 17 years old. and they are charged in a particularly brutal murder, it was murder of the 16 year-old salem west. west was a student at philadelphia's charter high

school, he was gunned down on november 1st, and in between the second and sedgley in the strawberry mansion section of the philadelphia police say on that day as he was riding his bike with the friend who was not injured there were 17 shots fired, and one of them hitting and killing the 16 year-old. right now two, 17 years olds in custody have been charged with murder. sources tell cbs-3 that one has made a statement admitting to the killing but perhaps the most killing chilling aspect of the story which is still unfolding is sources tell cbs-3 that this murder may be linked to as many as three or possibly four other murders and additional shootings all in the same neighborhood, and all, according to sources, driven by what might be bad blood between two groups of young men, who just live in different neighborhoods a few blocks apart. philadelphia police are expected to make more details available to us this afternoon at a press conference, but for now, two, 17 years olds charged, one allegedly

confessing in the brutal murder of a 16 year-old young man. we will have more details later on cbs-3. live from police headquarters i'm walt hunter, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> walt, thank you. a secret service officer caught up in a sexting scheme waves his right to a preliminary hearing in the delaware courtroom this morning. police say lee robert moore sent lewd pictures to a person he thought was a 14 year-old girl but he was really talking to an under cover officer. according to prosecutors, moore admitted to send some of those messages while working at the the white house. he has been put on administrative leave. court ruling gives jerry sandusky his penn state pension back. commonwealth court panel ruled that sandusky was not a penn state employee when he committed crimes that were basis for having his pension forfeited. state employees retirement board suspended sandusky's payments in october 2012, on the day he was convicted essentially of abusing ten boys. the the board was also ordered to pay back, interests. the the pentagon is

working to confirm that the u.s. air strike has killed jihadi john, one of the most recognizable figures within isis. cbs jonathan ridge lot i has latest -- owe vigliotti has latest from london. u.s. officials tell u.s. news that the u.s. strike killed isis terrorist mohammad emwazi. a drone had been tracking emwazi known as jihad john since wednesday, waiting for a clear shot. missle was fired thursday night as emwazi entered a vehicle in syria. britain's prime minister praised the u.s. mission. >> he was intent on murdering many more people. >> reporter: emwazi is believed to be responsible for beheading at least seven hostages including american journalist james foley and steven sock love and american aid worker peter kassig in syria in 2014. the gruesome videos he a appears in presented the world water filing image of the islamic state and were a

and ncis actress pauley perez tracks down what had guys on her popular cbs show but last night real life played out. she posted on twit their she was attacked by a homeless man right outside her hollywood home. correspondent don champion has the very latest. >> civil rights for everybody's civil rights. >> reporter: pauley perez has made a name for herself in the only for her work on the screen but also for her activism off the screen. the 46 year-old was outside of her hollywood home on thursday evening when she was attacked. in an emotional tweet overnight, she detailed how a homeless man attacked her.

a home invasion caught on camera, burglars in san jose, california they just don't raid the house but fridge as well. look at this right here. video shows those robbers stopping in the in middle of the robbery for juice and sewed break drinking straight from the the carton. come on, guy. luckily for police that video has already led to the arrest of one of those, three suspects. the quality of this video i'm amazed at. >> i'm mace by just the beautiful kitchen. that is gorgeous out there. i don't understand.

that you are robbing the house, but then again are you a genius if you are robbing a house? absolutely not. >> your hair, looks lovely now. >> thank you. >> it was blowing outside. >> we have it under control. wind is we will out there and it will whip throughout the day into tomorrow, everybody. we do not catch a break until sunday morning from the wind. and we're going to see temperatures plunge a bit. so a cool saturday on tap but we have a warm up too. i have a lot to talk about. let's get to it. lets look live outside beautiful shot of the center city, you see gorgeous blue skies, few clouds rolling in but nice with the bright sunshine out there. it is deceiving. you cannot see that the wind is just whipping, we have wind upward of 20 miles an hour across the region right the now and making it feel will cooler then actual temperatures. we will look at our actual temperatures we are at 59 in philadelphia. forty-five in mount pocono. sixty down in at atlantic city. as we head down the shore we will fine warmer temperatures. cape may 63. rehoboth 61. fifty-nine in ocean city. this is the the problem, the wind speed.

look at this. it is a westerly flow. see it rolling across the map here. 29 miles an hour in philadelphia you can see 25 miles an hour in reading and lancaster, mount pocono at 23. everybody is feeling it it. as we zoom out even along that i-95 corridor we have the worst level of winds but not looking too good in scranton right now where they are at 21 . we will see that continue, and behind all this wind is very cold air, rushing in. the as we look live, you can see they have snow up in parts of the michigan, canada, into new york state and starting to turn into rain off the the lake there. but that means cold air is coming. right now we are doing just fine but we will see temperatures start to roll down, on saturday. today gusts up to 35 miles an hour will be the biggest sticking point in your forecast. the tonight it sticks with us even into saturday. gusts potentially up to 30 miles an hour. the just to show you future wind gusts here watch what happens as we get into tonight. we're in the 30's in many spots. at 9:00 in the overnight hours doesn't give up, saturday

morning at the 9:00a m30 miles an hour yet again and it keeps on rolling until we get to sunday morning, that is when we will start to catch a break there. it is coming but this weekend saturday will be windy, quick cool down as temperatures role down to 50. we will see that improve on sunday and we will start to see the temperatures rise up, but for saturday, chilly, blustery, sunday, still looking at the 50's and a cold morning but upper 50's by the time we get to monday though hello we are back to the 60's everybody. a warm up. now what this means is on sunday eagles game really nice, wind will give us a break. fifty-five and sunshine taking on the dolphins there. high pressure though that is what will help buck these temperatures next week, ten to 15 degrees above average. by the time we get into monday we are talking temperatures where they should be and it will go throughout the week. we will get to that in your seven day. today a high of 60. windy and cooler. tonight your low is 39, blustery and chilly out there but check out this seven day
