6:00 starts right now. breaking news right now terror in paris france as timed attacks, ripped through the city, dozens are dead and death toll is rising. thanks for staying with us i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. this scene is unfolding as we speak, police and authorities are scrambling, to put an end to the violence. we will go to "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt in the sat center with new information tonight, david. >> reporter: this information just came to us within the last ten minutes. the president obama has used the word terrorism calling this an act of terrorism, used word terrorist, french tv is reporting that 70 people are killed. we are told that there are about a 100 hostages. this video is chilling. there are three different scenes in france right now, there was a football game, soccer game between france and germany, explosions were heard outside, there was also a theater, and also a restaurant. three separate situations now,

french president frances who will ane just spoke to the media in france. he said that the french military is dereplying right new on the street to handle the situation. president obama mentioned that this is a fluid situation, perhaps still happening right now, we still do in the know the exact number of people that were killed. we do know french military, the french secret service, their version of the secret service are on the street right now accessing the situation trying to neutralize the situation right now. here is president obama just a few moments ago. >> focus just not on the people of the france but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share. we stand prepared and ready to provide whatever assistance that the government and the people of france need to respond. france is our oldest alley, this is a heart breaking situation and obviously those of us here in the united

"eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter is live at police headquarters with more on this, walt. >> reporter: well, the mother of the victim, the 16 year-old victim took the unusual and some would say courageous step of actually joining police at a press conference here at the police headquarters here this afternoon as they announced her son's two accused killers had been arrested. she did it, she says, to talk about losing her only child and to make a plea for end of the violence that has ripped her neighborhood and this

better understanding. >> the book says even though charlie has autism he is not autism, he is so many other things. when you get kid young, you can push away the stigma. >> reporter: holy and actress is married to rodney peete, former eagles quarterback, rj's dad. >> i thought being a football wife is hard, i thought that made me tough but being a mom of the special need kid, i mean it is hard to explain it. we have been called warrior moms. >> reporter: she's on a mission to help other families and donate interactive tablets that help children with autism communicate. >> this can tell a parent i'm sleepy, i'm hungry, i'm angry, it is very hard for them to express their feelings when they cannot talk. >> reporter: holy and rodney peete have a foundation that supports autism advocacy and parkinson's disease, something that holy's dad suffered with. holy is here in philadelphia and getting a big award in center city an rj will be there with her. >> bravo, i love her crusade. love it. >> that is great, stephanie,

thanks. several parents in one northeast philadelphia high school say their school has become a danger to their children's safety. recent staff changes have led to a complete break down in discipline and order. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff went to the school to find out some answers. >> armed with phones, and fists high schoolers rage against one of their own. during another incident caught this week, students at george washington high school say that a glass door was punched. >> with that he cut his wrist and, you know, blood every where. >> reporter: last month 11th grader andre a was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, she fears it was prompted by violence at school. >> hardest thing i went through in high school was breaking up with somebody. i loved high school. >> reporter: her mom beth anna tended washington and now she has to consider doctor prescribed home schooling for her doubt are. >> i tell her every day you need to go to school. you have to try to get through it. >> reporter: social media has prompted hundreds of others to

come forward about concerns, many blaming school administrators for lack of discipline. >> it is a lot of stuff, a lot of fights. it is something i'm used to. >> reporter: we attempted to get gene jones attempts on this but the school turned as you way. they said they are working on a plan of action adding in part, that it is perfect to note that george washington high school retuesdayed the number of serious incidents by close to 50 percent last year but parents fear these incidents are going unreported. they want answers. >> you know, my mom fights me about going to school because i'm scared. i was like she doesn't want to see her daughter scared to go to school. i want to be a doctor. how willie go be a doctor when i can't go through high school. >> reporter: in response the the school district announced that a pair of community meetings will be held next week. reporting from philadelphia, alexandria hoff, for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". today philadelphia's first fallen female fire fighter was honored in lawncrest. plaque dedication took place at engine 64 firehouse for

it will be a windy weekend. tonight a west wind ten to 20 miles an hour, gusts to 25. dying down from earlier today. we had a gust of 40 miles an hour athe a airport. saturday wind northwest, 15 to 20, gusts up to 30 miles an hour. the don't bother raking those leaves it will be a blustery start to the weekend especially and because the wind will feel a whole lot colder then thermometer would have you believe. tomorrow morning it feels close to freezing. temperatures bottom out in the upper 30's but will feel five to 10 degrees colder thanks to the strong gusty wind. saturday afternoon temperatures climbing to the lower 50's but look at the what it feels like, tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. it will feel like 29 in mount pocono. feeling like 39 in allentown. forty-four in philadelphia it is a a brief cool down. cold pocket of air settles over us for sat the day and watch how quickly it lifts out. jet stream lifts backup, monday warm again, tuesday and then watch all this warmth, surge from the south by next wednesday, temperatures almost 15 degrees, above average, once again. so through overnight the hours tonight we will drop down to a low of 39, mainly clear, windy

welcome to royersford i'm pat gallon. it is our cbs-3 friday football frenzy game of the week. it is seven-three neshaminy against ten-zero springford. it is cold, it is medicine november, that means it is the playoffs. springford comes into this game an impressive undefeated ten-zero record. they are out scoring their opponents by 35 points per game this season. i caught up with their head coach chad, before the game and he gives us his keys to victory. >> you know, we have been here before. the kid were here when they were sophomores and, you know, they know a little bit of what
