get ready for the whom day rush. we are now in one of the busiest travel weeks of the entire year. but, don't be surprised for the extra long security lines, get ready to head out of town for thanksgiving. and the reason, it is all because of the aftermath of the paris terror attacks. live at the airport where the stepped up security that you will see this week. also, feels much more like christmas than thanksgiving right now, chilly start to your work week, all over it, seems there is november. now we feel like winter, almost, the windchill specially, as it is biting out there. >> really; isn't it, justin? weird to talk about windchills, since talking

about 70s last week. >> i can't remember the last time i really showed the wind chip map. been a long time, coldest air so far of the fall seasonment doesn't last, though, do talk about the warm up coming up for the holiday. so temperatures by the end of the week will be well into the 60s, so, how about that? little taste of some true fall weather today. so dress with that heavier coat this morning, outside live look, i mean, skies are clear, looking at center city from the other side of the river from palmyra, new jersey, on neighborhood network again all clear, so road conditions real now problems today. temperatures, the actual air temperatures, 35 at the airport, 31 allentown, 29 in reading, maybe dropping another agree or two before sunrise, but we do have nice breeze, kind of mixing up the air little bit. so real true cold dense air just can't set until right at the grounds. but, don't get me wrong, cold, 30 in quakertown and doylestown, they are the wind speeds, northwest breezes coming in ten to 15 miles per hour, may gust up to around 20. start to relax little later this morning, into the afternoon. but, on exposed skin what it feels like, low 20's allentown, reading, 26, in philadelphia, so, trying to

get the work out in outside today. hard core conditions out there with that win. if you are going out for the bike ride or jog this morning, feeling like 26, even south jersey mid 20's in dover. cold morning in the 30's, lunchtime maybe 40 degrees. afternoon temperatures struggle to get to the mid 40's, even with the sunshine, forecast high of 45 for philadelphia. as well as the shore. again, we should be low 50's this time of year, in the poconos, stuck in the 30's. but, like i said, each day it does get little warmer, so talking about warming trend just in time for the holiday weekends. that full forecast in a few more minutes. but let's get the latest on the road conditions. hey, meisha? >> good morning, justin, good morning to awful you. what you are looking at right now, video, from an accident, now, this is in new jersey 295 southbound near route 44. all lanes block here, what you had is head-on collision with possible entrapment. vehicle fire that you can see

they just put out. obviously leaking fluids. all of the crews out there again all lanes are block, on the northbound side, this is southbound, and then on the northbound side, one lane is open. so, on the southbound side, do not go around there. they are telling to you use alternate, crown point road, to jessup road, until they get this cleaned up. again, interstate 95 southbound all lanes are blocked, because of this accident, and just take a look at that smoke. so you will also have some visibility issues there, as well. in delaware county, 95 northbound 452, i'll touch base on that in a minute. this is 95 southbound at bridge street. where we had the accident little bit earlier that was blocking all three lanes of traffic. one lane was kind of squeezing by, that has since been cleared. ninety-five north, like i said, 452, looking good in delaware county as you head in the northbound direction. but overall it is a busy morning, another update coming up in about 15 minutes, back to you. >> meisha, thank you. are you traveling for thanksgiving, with terrorist attacks in paris still fresh on everyone's mine, law enforce. now taking extra steps to keep

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now at philadelphia international airport with more on that, already, a rough week to travel, especially so now. good morning. >> reporter: err cape, good morning. yes, stepped up screenings are expected to slow holiday travelers this week. here at philadelphia international airport you can see it is already fairly busy even early this morning on a monday morning. happening later today here, tsa is actually demonstrating its five new k9's, that it will be using here to sniff out potential explosives, tsa across the country, will be busy this week, cast screening millions of travelers. 46 million travelers will take to the roads, rales, and airways, in the united states this week. and they'll see extra officers, patrol dogs, security, at virtually every transportation center in the country. homeland security secretary, jay johnson, says his agency is ready for anything. >> i always hesitate to rang

threats, but the potential copycat, the lone wolf actor, is one that we're continually focused on. >> airline passengers can expect slower longer lines due to enhancement screenings. tsa says it will handle 25 million passengers this week. >> we're a little bit more aware of the increased security now that people may be little more nervous, but at the same time, still traveling. >> if travelers are nervous, so are the airlines. phony bomb threats re-directed three flights last week, from the us headed overseas, including a turkish airlines flight to istanbul. in new york city on sunday, police held a hours long active shooter drill in the city subway system. and for the first time the drill included an attack near suicide vest. >> what we have now, beefed up our resources, that we're being in a position to handle a significant number of events going on simultaneously, or sequencially. >> department of homeland

security says there are no credible threats anywhere in the u.s. and extra security is also in place for overseas flights heading into the united states, but remember, if you're headed out of town, all a want to head to the airport early because you will see the usual holiday rush, but these lines are expected to move even more slowly. we are reporting live at philadelphia international airport this morning, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> bring a book. jan, thanks for the update there. good news if you are driving out of town for thanksgiving. gas prices are falling just in time for the holiday. we found gas going for about two at any time 29 a gallon in old city. price haves fallen by more than a dime in the last two weeks. in the week leading to up thanksgiving a year ago, keep in mind, we are paying almost $3 a gallon so the cheaper prices definitely something to be thankful for this thanksgiving. and, here's what you can expect if you're driving on empty right now, need to fill up on your way to work, drivers in new jersey are paying average of 1.91-gallon of regular, delaware cost 2.08

a gallon, prices in pennsylvania are about quarter higher that the 2.32 a gallon. >> 5:37 right now. in business news, this morning, a short week for wall street on the heals of a good one. we'll take it. money watch's jill wagner joins us from the new york stock exchange with more on. that will good morning. >> last week the best week all year for the markets. on friday, the dow gained 91-point, the nasdaq jumped 31. drug makers pfizer and allergy, reportedly on the verge of $150 billion merger, that would be the biggest ever in the healthcare industry. so, wall street journal says they'll be structured as reverse merger, al err again, much smaller company, base in the dublin, will buy new york-based pfizer, letting pfizer take advantage of ireland's lower tax rate. wal-mart's moving up cyber monday, rolling out on-line deals, the sunday night of thanksgiving. wal-mart says when a cyber monday was first invented as this long line shopping holiday, a lot of people didn't have access to high

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now at the studios of our sister station wip, and not holding back. lots of boo's this weekend, i know. justin what are they saying? >> erika, good morning, lots of long faces here at wip this morning, disappointment over the eagles lost last night, and of course, fans obviously not sleeping well overnight, tossing and turning, replaying that epic lost in the back of their minds, and many now wondering can this team be saved at least by next season? >> whether is it ever going to be our season? waiting 57 something years for a superbowl. when is it ever going to be our time. >> some fed up eagles fans left the linc unable to shake what they saw on the field. and what they don't see and the team's future. >> we have zero chance of

going to the playoffs. this team cannot compete on a regular level much lesson a playoff level. >> touchdowns kept coming sunday as the eagles search for way back. final score 45 to 17. a crushing home defeat felton and off the field. a few fateful promise the flaws are still fixable, others see a team in it up he will. >> they didn't play as i had hoped. still fortunate. still a fan hopefully they'll do better next time. >> the game pretty much sucked. >> the eagles now stands four and 63rd in division standings. some fans feel their playoff chances have flown away. >> i've been to every game since they built the linc. and unfortunately with all of the players that we have, and the tal hasn't we have, i think the coach staff has to completely change. we need a major change. >> now, despite the

30 degrees, little milder, up in new jersey, clementon, 37, up in bath, 30's, freezing in perkasie at 29. wind to deal with this morning as well. winds coming in at 15 miles per hour, in some spots, little bit less up to the north and west, look at the windchill values, middletown, delaware, feels like 22 degrees. twenty right now out in hot ingham, at fran's house, so bitter cold this morning, and starting to feel little bit more like winter. the winter countdown, four days until thanksgiving, then eight days until we average 50 degrees for the high temperature. today we only make it today 40's, 18 days, until we see our average first snowfall. how about that? doesn't mean we will get it in 18 days. that's when we average it, 30 days until winter officially arrives. all right, temperatures will be climbing this week. forty's today, and again tomorrow, but then 50's wednesday, then 60s for thursday, and friday. quiet on storm scan3, lake effect snow showers, across the mountains of western

pennsylvania, up-state new york, we're in the clear skies. still, wind think morning, the winds will start to relax, little bit this afternoon. then go calm tonight. so tonight's going to be cold night. tomorrow morning, actual air temperatures even colder than today. and then, for tuesday, pretty much light winds. so here's your set up. high pressure billing in control, keeps us nice, sunny today, highs only in the 40's, and then into tuesday, casino every the same story wednesday, still no problems. big travel day wednesday looks good. today's high 45. that's it. we are talking mid 60s by the ends of the week. meisha, what's the latest out on the roads? >> 60s are coming, thanks, justin, good morning everyone, happy monday to you. just waking up with us, this is video from an accident that we have, 295 southbound near route 44, all lanes are blocked, it sound like this was a head-on collision in new jersey with possible entrapmentment there was vehicle fire. you can see by all of that smoke get that all kind of tapered at this point. it is a lot better now than it was even just 15 minutes ago. but again, all lanes are block, and then the northbound part, it is only one lane, that is open.

so they're still telling you at this time use alternate, crown point road to jessup road in this area. now going to live look outside, 59 south at girard looking good. interstate 951 of the areas that we are starting to see heat up this morning. we had accident earlier bridge street moving in the southbound direction, that's since cleared. but we certainly are still seeing volume levels build. we can expect that pushing toward that 6:00 hour. this is where we have a car fire northeast extension southbound closed, between lehigh valley, it just sounds like actually that the lanes now have just been opening. however, not closed, just opening, but because that far severe congestion, still going to take you little while around the northeast extension area. also, manhole new jersey route 38 westbound at 70. left lane still blocked, in and around this area. so, overall, what we are seeing this morning, it is a very busy morning, indeed, give yourself couple every extra minute specially push into the 6:00 hour. erika, over to you. >> meisha, a thanks so much. call it craigslist connection.

local man is risking his life after stumbling on craigslist post. "eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson has the inspiring story. >> if there is a single word for what 489 year old glenn colderbank is about to do, it is hard to articulate. >> so important, i'm risking my life for it. >> glenn preparing to donate his kidney to women who will die without it. someone until very recently who was a total stranger. >> i can save somebody. >> the fact that glenn has be to the hospital a dozen times, in preparation to risk his own life, isn't particularly astonishing, that's just glenn. what is in a series of fantastical coincidences twills dollars fate, dumb luck, the way glenn found nina. >> looking on craigslist, and i just happened to come across an ad that struck my eye, somebody was asking for a kidney for their wife. >> glenn was looking in the material section every craigslist for his job

posting, begging fog the life of egg harbor resident nina, mistakenly placed right in front of him. >> i was meant to see that. >> glenn responded by asking nina's blood type. probability, lost again. a positive. a perfect match. within a week, nina was sitting face-to-face with glenn. >> and i toll her, i said, look, i know i'm a match. she said how do you know that? i said there is no way that i saw your ad by accident, we're the same blood type, and i'm not a match. >> and perhaps the only reason nina's post caught glenn's eye is because of jessica. >> i feel like she's my angel. >> glenn's first wife, first love, waited two years for a kidney, after hers started failing. eventually, it came from a cadaver, who when her body rejected the organ she died on dialysis. now four years later glenn and jen did a have another shot with nina. >> the excitement, and the feeling of doing this for

>> a miracle baby born prematurely on cruise ship is one step closer to going home. little hayden arrived in home state of utah over the weekend. he spent the past two months, in a miami hospital.

hayden was born three months early, when his parent were on cruise ship around the caribbean. he was only one and a half pounds, but that little boy has defied the odds. >> he started taking bottles, a number of weeks ago, and his breathing has been on the very low setting, so, he's surpassed their expectations a long time ago. >> hayden's parent say the main concern in moving him to utah was the change in elevation. he'll be hospitalized therefore the next several weeks, but they do hope to get him home in time for christmas. a yacht in venice beach california was destroyed this week, and after it was engulfed in flames. everyone aboard did get off safely including a baby. but it wasn't without a serious scare. that baby, her parents, and two other adult, they were all forced to jump off that 40-foot boat on saturday. the cause of the fire was not immediately known. a muslim man in south carolina opened his heart in his arms to the people in his community. he stood blindfolded for two

hours this weekend offering free hugs. after the recent attacks in paris, he said he saw a lot of backlash against the islam egg fate. this until he saw video after blind muslim man being hugged by strangers. he said he wanted to try to dot same thing, promoting a he calls hugs for humanity. >> he's blindfolded, he doesn't know what people will do to him. it is brave of him. specially in the first hour, it was just back-to-back to back-to-back. not many could see it, but i was tearing up under the blind fold. >> he hopes he will help people keep open minds to the muslim community, coming up in the next hour of "eyewitness news", checking your traffic and weather together. also, a big surprise for a police officer, who pull over a couple during a routine traffic stop. see what they did that just blew his mind. >> and, people spent a lot of money trying to keep their faces looking young. but, a person's hand, oh, they don't lie, until now, see the new treatment being used to erase wrinkles, and reversing the signs of aging. that's coming up until the
