splatter effect every all of the residue they're trying to get cleaned up right now, you can also see, the tow truck, there, trying to get this cleaned up, as women. i don't believe the driver is still on scene in and around this area, and also, did i see some leaking fluids. so if you can avoid this exit, that onramp to 476 southbound, you certainly want to right now. this is a look at 95 south at girard, looking good, interstate 95 is one of the areas now that we've reached the 5:00 hour, i'll keep my eye on because we know it will start heating up in this hour. for those every in you jersey 42 northbound, creek road, as you approach 295, looking good, although, take a look, a loft headlights, a lot you have getting early jump to the day, i don't blame you. this is where we have downed pole in norristown, while hall road closed between bearoad and skippack pike. so just make sure you know of that, that it is completely closed because of the downed pole. i'll let you know it does get cleaned up. >> meisha, thank you. >> breaking news right now. turkey has shot down a russian war plane. this new video shows the smokey aftermath of the crash. turkey says, the pilots

hoses french president francois hollande at the white house. a street cleaner in suburban paris found an explosive vest. the vest did not have a detonate or but it did have the same type of explosive used in the november 13th attack. in belgium, another round every police raids led to the arrest of 21 people. however, suspect sal an is not among them. brussels plans to reopen schools and mass transit tomorrow. but, belgium will remain under the highest travel alert for at least another week. new this morning, philadelphia fire investigators are trying to pinpoint what sparked a fire at a car wash in bustleton. that fire started around 1:45 this morning, near bustleton avenue and nor walk road. it was under control in about a half hour. there are no reports of any injuries. this is developing right now. the army just confirmed that four american troops have been killed in a helicopter crash at fort hood, texas, the helicopter was on routine

training mission last night when it crashed killing everyone on board. the military has not identified the victims yet. >> also, developing overnight, five people shot near the side after ongoing protest in minneapolis, minnesota. eyewitnesses say three white supremecists fired into a group protesting the police-involved shooting of jamar clark. all of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. police are working to identify the gunman involved. and, a grim milestone here in philadelphia. the city has already passed last year's murder total with five weeks still left in the year. a double murder in a port richmond home yesterday brought the total number of murders in 2015 to 249. that is one more than last year. it is also the most murders in the city since 299 people were killed in 2012. the cause after house fire in gloucester county is under investigation. chopper three over that scene last night on the 1100 block of lexington drive in depford. firefighters say, two people,

suspect in the shooting after good samaritan. they believe uric cane tried to kidnap a woman last thursday when peter goldfields t the crime was captured by a surveillance camera. police say cane shot gold, a medical student, at tulane university. he's in guarded condition but recovering. the woman suffered minor injuries. to the latest now campaign 2016. republican presidential candidate, donald trump's comment about american muslims on september 11 is coming under intense scrutiny. as mary maloney report, it is the late that's series of sharp red rick from the candidates. >> i is a people get it together, and in fairly large numbers, celebrating at the world trade center was coming down. >> it is a line recently repeated on the campaign trail. >> i watched in jersey city, new jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was

in the suburb, thanksgiving forecast, plenty of sun at 60. and if you think that's kind of unusual, not so much. i mean, average high is 52. so way above that. the last time we had 60 or higher was back in 2007. not too long ago where we hit 71 degrees, and the record 75, setback in 1941. but we also will snow on thanksgiving, as well. so you kind of get a little of everything. extended forecast, nice and dry through the ends of the week, each day gets warmer, front moves through, watch out for few showers around with temperatures back to the low 50's, now that it is starting to feel like winter, a lot of people are wondering what's in store for our winter forecast. the eyewitness weather team has your winter weather outlook tonight on "eyewitness news" at 11:00 you don't want to miss it. meisha, there is a lot of huge players out there that will impact our weather. it will be cool. check it out. >> yes, absolutely. i can't even believe it will be 06 on thanksgiving. that to me is a party in and of itself. so much to be grateful for on thursday, yes indeed. all right, here is a look at the vine, headlights are

moving in the eastbound direction. so this is eastbound, looking good there. this is what i typically keep my eye on, the eastbound direction of the schuylkill. that's usually waist getting really hot as you move into center city. but looking good at eighth street. schuylkill and eighth street looking great. ben franklin bridge for those of you coming from the ben franklin bridge, slow that down, coming from jersey, overall. looking pretty good here, into center city. ben franklin bridge yesterday at about this time was heating up little bit more. mower so -- more so today. now, this is where we did have an accident, our first accident of the morning. this is in marple township route one north at the blue route 476 south onramp. you can see, they are just starting to tow this vehicle away when penndot had zoomed in on this camera, we did see leaking fluids on the roadway as well. i just want to point that out. looking fluids, specially gasoline, use extra caution in this area. i'll let you know it does

clear, erika, back over to you. >> thanks so much. here is something to think about when sitting in traffic this morning. you could be stuck in one of the worse traffic bottlenecks in the country. philadelphia has of two them, including what else the schuylkill expressway between city avenue and roosevelt boulevard, familiar site. the number is number 36 on the american highway users alliance cents list of worse traffic jams. that stretch of highway leads to an annual delay of 700,000 hours and more than 263,000 gallons in lost fuel. now the other one is right on the vine street expressway between the schuylkill and 24th street, live look right now, not much traffic. now is the time to drive t but that .3 of a mile part of the highway causes drivers to spend 300,000 hours stuck in traffic, wasting 112,000 gallons every fuel every year. >> more than 47 million people are expected to hit the road this week for thanksgiving. and now there is an urgent plea for people riding in the back seat to buckle up.

as cbs news correspondent transportation correspondent kris van cleave reports, new study warns about dangerous and deadly trends. >> this dash cam video shows you why, if you are sitting in the back seat, you should put on a seatbelt. this man, and young child, go flying through the cabin of a car during a collision. new research from the governor highway safety association finds those not wearing seatbelts died in crashes in 213, about half would have likely survived if they had only buckled up. what is it about the back seat that makes people think they don't need to wear their seatbelt? >> first, you have heard for years, you're safer in the back seat. second you don't think about it as much when you get into the back seat specially something like attacks i, and third, half the states don't have laws requiring belt use in the back seat. >> doctor jim headland wrote the report, of particular concern are passengers in cabs and ride sharing services like

marathon is already tough. but one firefighter went the extra mile at the philadelphia marathon on sunday, and he ran the entire race, decked out in his fire fighting gear. check him out. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones spoke with that fire fight per the message behind his unusual running outfit. of all of the runners perhaps one stood out the most. that's firefighter steven bender running full 26.2 miles, in full gear, including the air tank. >> this is at least, what, 20 pounds maybe? >> about 20, 25, yes. >> are you crazy? >> some people said i'm crazy but i don't believe so. >> bender is motivated if nothing else, does all of this foray tension, but not for himself, rather for his charity. firefighter five foundation. >> you must get some looks, i imagine? >> i do get some looks. >> its mission, to pay entry fees, expenses, for first responders ends erring races and other competitions. >> is it a first to run into a fire, first to run, and they kind of forget about themselves. their health starts to

deteriorate, gain weight -- >> was 1240 pounds. >> when you look at running it, it save you? >> i believe so. it is not just the physical aspect of it, there is the mental aspect, as women. you run it, helps clear the minds. >> basilica of saints peter and paul the way he finished philadelphia's marathon in little over five hours and 30 minutes. it is the fourth time he's run a full marathon in full turn-out gear, and it ways about 40 pounds. >> hot is the worse part. weight is one thing, but the heat, the hot, the temperature, i was really sweating badly. >> forty-one year old has no plans on slowing down any time soon. he plans on running a marathon in every state in full gear. he thinks it should take him about 12 years. >> it seems almost impossible. >> no, nothing is impossible. just like i tell people out there. mile 22, 23, of the philadelphia marathon, i was saying just one step at a time, we got it, one stealth at a time. >> to date the foundation has raised about $35,000.

in boothwyne, delaware county, todd quinones, cbs-3, "eyewitness news" >> high school marching band in boothwyne celebrating a big win. the sun valley marching band from aston, brought home the band state championship in hershey. beat out 12 competing schools in the american open division. the band was recognized in brookhaven at the council meeting there. "eyewitness news" spoke with the proud band director. >> their championship performance was probably a level that i've never seen before. the way they performed, the way they really took everything in, i casino of new when we came off the field it was something magical. and that's really great to see. >> it's been great year for the sun valley band, they've placed first in every competition that entered this year. that's total of 71st place
