westbound is opened, it has been opened all night. vine looking good outside eastbound lanes being closed. ninety-five headlights moving in the southbound direction at the the airport. this is what we are looking at light right now. we will see a the lot of people hopping on airplanes for the holiday myself included. blue route at mid county, looking good. moving both in the northbound and southbound directions. the we are seeing a steady flow hit our roadways right now. i will have another update in 15 minutes. ladies, over to you. new this morning philadelphia police are investigating a shooting outside the frankford transportation center. this happened just before 2:30 this morning. police say that victim is a a 20 year-old man shot in the leg, but was able to run to the nearby dire street. so far they have no suspects or an arrest, victim is in stable condition at area torresdale. a 17 year-old faces charges in the the shooting of the pennsylvania state trooper. >> it started with the traffic stop and ended in a fiery crash. southwest detectives where police processed that suspect overnight, justin. >> reporter: good morning. he was processed overnight and awaiting arraignment. we are told that he will likely be charged as an adult. now "eyewitness news" cameras were rolling yesterday as that 17 year-old was brought the in for processing and his family awaited updates. state police say he was driving the sedan, tuesday morning, that struck that school bus and spark a fire on the eastbound vine street expressway near 22nd street just before 10:00 o'clock that morning. police say teen was fleeing state trooper patrick casey who persued the car after it fled an earlier traffic stop. the casey pulled alongside that vehicle which crashed into his cruiser before rear ending the the bus, only one person aboard that bus, the the driver, who escaped unharmed. the teen sedan driver on foot escaped and launched in the highway shoot-out with casey who was still in his cruiser. the casey was struck in the left shoulder and cell phone video shows one man being

arrested on the vine. now traffic on the vine street expressway, east and west was rerouted for hours for investigation. the meantime troopers got casey to hahnemann where he is in good spirits and recovering in stable condition. >> he too a shot to the left shoulder, it is in the bullet that is lodged in the soft tissue. it will be removed at a later time but all of the troopers that responded to assist in the whole incident, performed remarkably well. >> reporter: well, indeed. we are told casey could be home for thanksgiving dinner. the a as for that shooter he is facing several charges including attempted murder, assault of the law enforcement the officer and fleeing and attempting and many more. there were other male passengers in the the car and that initial stop we're told that two have have been questioned and released. one is in custody and the search is on for another. we are live here at southwest detectives, i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> happy to hear that trooper will be okay, thank you,

administrative leave. today is one of the busiest travel days of the entire year and despite concerns over terrorism, millions of the americans are expect to hit road, rails and airways. amtrak says more police will be on patrol to keep travelers safe. amtrak an added extra trains, last year a record of more than 772,000 passengers rode the rails. they expect similar numbers again this year. south philadelphia a. chopper three over the wal-mart on south christopher columbus boulevard. police say body was found face down. if you have any information, call the police. protesters in chicago, clashed with police after the department released a dash cam video showing a white police officer shooting a black teenager killing him. we have a portion of that video. we want to warn you you may find it disturbing. seventeen year-old laquan mcdonald was shot by officer jason van dyke. the teenager died after he was shot 16 times. the at the time mcdonald was walking with a knife in his hand. an autopsy later found drugs in his system. van dyke faces first degree murder charges and being held with bond. protesters took to the streets. some chanted 16 shots, and blocked traffic. police say that they have arrested a couple demonstrators. chicago has been preparing for protests in advance of that video's release which was ordered by a judge to happen no later then today.

a man is in stable condition this morning after being shot the in the leg overnight. this happened outside the frankford transportation center, at frankford and pratt street just before 2:30. so far no arrests have been made. police plan to charge the 17 year-old man as an adult today in the shooting of the pennsylvania state trooper, patrick casey. trooper casey was struck yesterday following a pursuit on the vine street expressway. the suspect crashed into the the the school bus causing a massive fire on the highway.
