bryant plays his last professional game in his hometown before he retires. good evening, i'm jessica dean. >> i'm ukee washington. we begin tonight with the mysterious disappearance of a vile land, new jersey, mother and her baby daughter. >> "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live outside the vineland police department with details on the investigation and also concern from family and friends. david? >> reporter: jessica, family and friends tell me this story gets more bizarre by the unit. they insist this mother of three would never just leave on her own. >> this is just not like her at all. >> reporter: diana soto is living a nightmare and desperate to fine out what happened to her sister and three month old niece genesis. inside the family home there's lot of pain and diana says her mother is feeling the most. >> that's her daughter, that's her granddaughter. >> i'm sorry. >> reporter: according to vineland police, 34-year-old nady was scene friday november 27th in vineland. family members found her 2005

chevy trailblazer northbound on 55 saturday morning. new jersey state police recovered the car. >> no signs of postpartum depression or anything like that much this is very out of the ordinary for her. >> reporter: lieutenant matt finley with vineland police tells "eyewitness news" his detectives didn't find out about nady and her daughter until monday two days after family and friends found her car. he says nothing valuable was inside the car and her cell phone hasn't been used since friday. >> no previous history of going away, missing, running away, nothing like that. >> reporter: outside the police department close friends nervously waited for any news about nady and her little girl. >> we're very worried about her and her child. we have no idea what is going on. >> reporter: stephanie joyce works with nady and calls her a close friend. she says nady is a good mother. one who would never just pick up and leave. >> we've work together for almost sick years now. i've never seen anything like this. this is completely off the wall this is completely abnormal for her. >> reporter: police have

interviewed several people. the vineland police department, the cumberland county prosecutor's office and new jersey state police detectives are all working on this case. if you have any information, call 911. reporting live in vineland tonight david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> david, thank you for that. we are keeping our eye on the storm again tonight. the rain is going to stick around for another day it looks like much meteorologist indicate bilo tracking the current conditions and what we can expect in the morning. kate? >> thanks, ukee. it's really a carbon copy of this time last night when we were tracking rain just moving in from the south and west. we've got very similar situation tonight as strong cold front starts to push through portions of the midwest but it's drawing in a lot of gulf moisture causing this big batch of heavy rain just to our south and to our west. you can see in our area we're in little bit of break in the act. there are showers drifting by to the north and west as we zoom in on our triple sweep you can see really not a whole lot happening out there at least not a whole lot that can be picked up by the radar signal but a lot of mist and drizzle outside so it's still damp if you step out the door.

rain timing overnight showers, fog out there watch for low visible on the roads. morning commute, light rain, fog and road spray it will be pretty messy out there but the instead yesterday rain comes mid afternoon on wednesday and could even impact your wednesday afternoon commute at least the first part of it coming up i'll tell when you the rain moves out and we've got good stuff in the seven day forecast. i think you'll like it that in a few minutes. jessica, back over to you. >> kate, thank you burlington county tonight two people in a car are killed in a crash involving a schoolbus. some students on that bus were also injured. the bus was carrying members high school swim team when the wreck happened near pemberton and ridge roads in southampton. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones was there. >> reporter: it was a violent head on collision. two people were killed. pemberton road was shut down for ours new jersey state police collected evidence. the two males who are dead were both in the volkswagen passat. >> witness statement stating that the volkswagen traveling

high rate of speed possibly improperly passing vehicles entered the lane of the bus striking it head on. >> reporter: there were 20 students from the lenape on the bus, as well as two teachers, a bus aid and driver. the crash happened just before 5:00 on pemberton road just east of ridge road in southampton. >> it was the lenape swim team traveling to a sporting event. >> reporter: names of the two ills males who were killed have not been released pending notification of next of kin. fortunately of those nine people taken here to the hospital, all of them have only minor injuries. reporting from mt. holly, new jersey, todd quinones cbs3 "eyewitness news". tonight chicago's mayor is promising change after firing the city's top cop. gary mccarthy resigned at the request of the mayor a mid angry protests how authorities responded to the fatal shooting of a black teenager by a white police officer last year. speculation is growing over who will be the next chicago police

superintendent. philadelphia police commissioner charles ramsay says right now it's not him. >> gary is a goodman. and i really hate to see him leave. i know things are little difficult right now in chicago to say the least. but no, it's way too soon for anybody to speculate about anything. my plans are to retire first of the year. that hasn't changed. commissioner ramsay is a chicago native and spent 26 years with the chicago police department. authorities say a brookhaven woman stole from her own mother and then set up a fraudulent gofundme page claiming her mother was sick. police say carol, stole $40,000 from her 92-year-old mother by abuse power of attorney. she allegedly withdrew cash from atm's and stopped paying her mom's expenses at her nursing home. authorities say she even set up a fake gofundme page claiming her mom was sick and pockets $1,200. >> we understand that the daughter may have her own financial needs that she may

have her own expenses that she needs to pay, but not at mom's expense. >> she told "eyewitness news" today she's planning to plead not guilty to the felony charges against her. she will be back in court later this month. cathedral leap kane taps a former maryland attorney general to lead an investigation into pornographic e-mails shared among state officials. team of special prosecutors will help doug gansler examine the e-mails. they're looking for violations of pennsylvania's criminal, civil or ethics laws. kane cannot lead this investigation as the state's top prosecutor. general attorney general's law license is currently suspended while she waits trial on charges she leaked secret grand jury information and lied about it under oath. >> facing money for a memorial for the victims of a deadly building collapse. proceeds from the event will go to the construction of a memorial at 22nd and mark streets. six people died there in 2013 when a building being demolished collapsed oh and top of a

>> tomorrow south jersey hospital will open the first concussion center. this machine is one of several new pieces of equipment at cape regional medical center. the center has the tools and training to diagnose concussions. it also has computer software to evaluate brain functions and possibly hell help prevent the recurrence of a concussion. >> ideally we would lovto have every athlete in the county be able to come in v a baseline so that we know specifically and we can tell coaches or athletes or parents, hey, there is cognitive deficit here. we need to make precautions. >> cape regional team trained under dr. george, one of the nfl's leading experts on concussions. this just may be the most generous birth announcement ever from facebook ceo mark zuckerberg he and his wife pre sill will have a new baby daughter named max and they posted his photo on facebook. he and his wife will donate 99%

stuff. if you liked today -- >> going to love tomorrow. >> i don't know anybody that loved today. but if you did, make sure you hit me up on twitter and facebook maybe you're the one guy that loved today. you've got another day of it coming if you like the sun and temperatures above average just wait until the end of the week and the weekend much nicer weather is on the way. let's take a look outside right now. you can see the buildings of center city philadelphia have pretty much disappeared thanks to big wall of low clouds and fog just sitting over us. there's a lot of moisture coming up from the gulf of mexico temperatures well above average. we're in the 50s near 60 degrees tomorrow. but it's not a pleasant 60 degrees. we're talking clouds. we're talking rain and take look at this storm on storm scan3. very large system. now there are some indications that the storm is starting to weaken. you can see as the storm lifts to the north and to the east when you see a storm lifting like that that is an occasion it is weakening that's what's happening with this storm. you can see that cold front slicing into portions of the southern planes that's drawing in the moisture and this is the rain you want to watch. as we head into the day tomorrow it will be lifting into our area

especially during the midday hours. so right now across our live neighbor network 45 degrees. they've that .83-inches of rain there. 51 in norristown. half inch of rain there as well and more to come. future weather overnight just a few scattered showers here's 5am with a band of showers moving through. roads will be wet for your morning commute. heaviest during the midday hours between 10am and one or 2:00 o'clock that's when heavy rain could move through. continues until about 4:00 p.m. and then does start to move out during the course of the evening commute. but still can't rule out a lingering shower right into tomorrow night. so here's what to expect. overnight, light rain, mist, areas of fog, slow down on the roads, it is pretty messy out there for your wednesday periods of rain the instead yesterday in the afternoon. and then it's a split week we get the rain out of here. we'll see a cool breezy day thursday but it's comfortable. seasonal at last around 50 degrees. friday less wind, sunny skies, high pressure overhead, 50 degrees. another nice day temps should be in the upper 40s by that time at

the end of the week. so let's review november. today of course the first day of our new month. didn't really feel like december out there with the rain and the mild temperatures. november at 5.6 degrees above average was the second warmest on record. it was also dry month. fell more than an inch below average in precipitation. 1 degree of 80-degree warm in november. i don't think we'll get there in december but above average as we head toward the weekend overnight light rain, mist, areas of fog, tomorrow again periods of rain especially midday. much like today. the high a mild 59 degrees. rittenhouse square tree lighting was supposed to be tonight. luckily they moved it to thursday it will be much much better out there. breezy, chilly 44 degrees. i'll will be out there as well helping to light the tree as well will our joy of sharing toy fest. stop by and say hollow. 50 degrees, breezy. friday looking good. the weekend can't ask for much better weekend than this. saturday and sunday 50s with sunshine hanukkah begins at sundown on sunday. great weather for that hanging christmas lights maybe this weekend no excuse not to be out
