the nation, reeling this morning, after a day of terror in california. armed attackers stormed into a social services building leaving 14 people dead and numerous others injured, this morning we are learning more about the two shooters killed by police. today is thursday,e two december 3rd, good morning, glad you are with us, i'm nicole brewer, erika has the the day off but i'm joined by the the lovely katie and meisha. good morning, ladies. >> good morning, happy thursday you guys. good news is right now roadways are looking dry more so then yesterday. what can we look forward to today. dry weather. who wants to deal with 48

hours of dreary conditions but now i have much better news. this is our day of transition. we are drying out but there is i breeze kicking in the the wake of the cold front yesterday and that will keep things feeling at least a little cooler for you. the lets start off with what is a clear shot for a change. you could barely make out ben franklin bridge most of the morning, courtesy of the moisture and light wind leading to the area fog we had over riverbeds. the it was rough stuff seeing your hand in front of your face but sky scan three has cleared out and storm scan three. the as we not find too much out there but i want to zoom it out and take a look what is happening off to the west over happy valley, heading westbound rather on i80, you've got some snow falling. we will check ande if this will stick to the ground or verifying even at the ground level as snow flakes but regardless is there a hint of left over moisture that is likely to bring a sprinkle, to say the the pocono our area. rest of us are staying dry.

is obviously one of the stretches where we will start toe change in the 5:00 o'clock hour no doubt. east and westbound vine is looking guy but it is all closed. it usually lifts around 5:00 a.m. hours. east and westbound still closed. we have an accident in delaware 95 southbound at delaware service area two right lanes are blocked in and around this area. so of course as we progress through 5:00 o'clock hour if this does not get out of our way you might want to use a alternate. rittenhouse square was rescheduled from this past tuesday until today at 5:00 p.m. then there is another one at city hall at 6:00 p.m. that is a nice way to get us in the holiday spirit, nicole, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. investigators are trying to find motive in the mass shooting in san bernardino, california, police say two heavily armed attackers opened fire on holiday party inside social services building killing 14 people and wounding 17 more. hours later two suspects identified as syed rizwan farouk and tashfeen malik died

in the shoot-out with police. the the two were married. chris martinez, brings us up to date. >> reporter: authorities have revealed the identities of the two suspects, that they believe are responsible for mass shooting in inland regional center, the pair identified as 28 year-old syed rizwan farouk, and his wife, 27 year-old tashfeen malik, fled the scene of the massacre in a black suv. both suspects died in a gun battle with police just 2 miles away from the the shooting, inside the suv investigators found assault rifles and semiautomatic handguns. >> based upon what we have seen and based upon how they were equipped there had to be some degree of planning that went into this. >> reporter: officials say farouk an environmental specialist for sap bernardino county left a holiday party angry and return ahort time later with malik dressed in assault style clothing and armed with guns. >> it was just num b. i called my kid and aid if

something happens to me, there is a shooting here just be safe. >> reporter: appearing with local muslim leaders farouk's brother-in-law condemned at tax and expressed his remorse. >> i am very sad, deeply sad, and shock, something like this happened. >> reporter: as the investigation continues to unfold authorities say they have in the ruled outer wrist many, as a motive. >> iis a possibility but we don't know that just yet and we're not willing to go down that road yet. >> reporter: authorities work late in the night at the scene of the deadly shooting after bomb squad, found and detonated a suspicious pipe bomb device inside. chris martinez, cbs news, san bernardino, california. >> many lives were lost and more than a dozen others were injury, in california's violent shooting rampage. eyewitnesses, recalled moments of the killer as the the attackers unleashed bullets inside that center. some workers trapped inside, sent texts while others called loved ones. >> multiple shots, shots going off like crazy, one right

after the other. >> shooting in my work, people shot, you know, in the office waiting for cops. pray for us. >> she said, people have been shot. i was at a work christmas party. i don't know what will happen, i'm scared, and i love you. >> more than 650 employees worked at the massive social services facility, hundreds were evacuated and reunited with loved ones. the fbi is working with local authorities in california trying to figure out what prompted this shooting rampage. "eyewitness news" spoke with the retired fbi veterans. he said once wounded tended to and building is security officials will will go through surveillance footage to identify suspects and their vehicle. the the former agent says the public is the the most valued resource. >> these things are plan, and is there people involved. if you can expand that network of people that are planning this, and you can get tips. >> reporter: k l.a. rer says

it will take time to determine if it was a work place shooting or an act of terrorism. local leaders are expressing grief over shootings on social media, pennsylvania governor tom wolf tweets thoughts with the victim, their families and the entire san bernardino community following a tragic mass shooting there, senseless. new jersey governor chris christie says pray for all of those victimize by shootingness san bernardino, california today. well, president obama once again, called on congress to address gun control. he spoke with cbs news anchor nora o'donnell shortly after the rampage occurred. >> we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world and there is some steps we could take not to eliminate everyone of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don't happen as frequently. common sense gun safety laws, stronger background checks. >> the president added gun

control reforms will make mass shootings in the u.s. rare as opposed to the normal. you can see more of nora o'donnell's interview with the president coming up on cbs this morning coming up at 7:00 . the deadly rampage is one in the string of the mass shootings in the the united states in the past five months. just this past friday, three people including a police officer were killed when a gunman opened fire at a plan parenthood facility in colorado springs. nine others were injured in that shooting. on october 1st, 9 people were shot to death at umpqua community college in oregon, nine others were injured. that gunman took his own life. on july 16th a shooter unleashed hail of gunfire at two military facilities in chattanuga, tennessee. four marines died there. fifth member died at the hospital, two others were wounded. june 17th, 9 people died in the emmanuel a.m. e church in charleston, south the carolina after a gunman opened fire during a prayer meeting. according to the web site mass shootings tracker, 355 mass

eaking news from south africa this morning where an appeals court has convicted oscar pistorius of murder overturning lesser charge of manslaughter. twenty-nine year-old former olympian shot and kill his girlfriend reeva steenkamp in 2013. her family was in court today. in south africa the minimum sentence for murder is 15 years behind bars. new this morning a deadly shooting in north

philadelphia, "eyewitness news" on the scene at germantown avenue in west moreland street. police say a 27 year-old man was shot in the face. he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. police are working to identify suspects and a motive in that shooting. also new this morning a car accident in bordentown, township, new jersey is now under investigation. car crashed on georgetown road near clifton mills shortly after 10:30 last night. road was shut down while emergency crews work on the injured. there is no details on the victim's condition at this time. schuylkill expressway near montgomery drive is back opened, it shut down after a three car accident last night. two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the causes under investigation. well, sixers have suspended center jahlil okafor for two games including last nights match against new york knicks, this follows a release of the second video released by tmz sports. the last week okafor for the a heckler outside a boston

>> yes. >> it is not bad at all. i want to start off with this look, look at the purple, nicole, there is some snow falling on i80. that is just basically the left over moisture as this storm is making its full retreat. you might the see a sprinkle in the the poconos out of this, maybe renegade snow flake but do not bank on this having a chance to stick or accumulate no less because for one thing ground is way too warm at this point but this really looks worse then it actually is, it is that left over moisture getting wrapped up, pulled away with this entire system. so full frontal passage making its retreat. you can see bulk of moisture is off shore and our region as a whole is basically drying out. don't expect any additional wet weather from philadelphia on south east and further north in carbon and monroe county you might the see a quick sprinkle will but rest of us will not see anything just a few additional clouds and sun finally break go through. much colder. it is 50 degrees. that is where we should be

for daytime highs for this day have the year in philadelphia but by comparison we are stuck in the 30's in the chi town,alpena, and even cleveland. eventually we will see a drop in the thermometer later in it but high pressure is hooking us up. all day to day that high is building itself in, it is here all day tomorrow, anchored all day overhead on saturday, as well as sunday and even looking ahead to monday. there is a new system that we are looking ahead to at that point but it doesn't look like a huge impact on us. the partly sunny, breezy, certainly and cooler and we will feel no better than the 40's for most of you for better part of the day because on have that win. mostly clear as a result, colder later tonight n blanket the of cloud cover, down to 36 d in the eyewitness weather forecast, every day, at the least 50 degrees here, and our normal high is 49. so it is not shabby. the now back to you. >> fifty's and sunny. we will take that.

back now on "eyewitness news" a recapping wednesday's mass shooting in california, authorities are trying to figure out what led to that deadly rampage. it all happened at a office who will kay party in san bernardino, 14 people killed, more than a dozen others were injured, some of them seriously. then 2 miles away from the massacre police caught up with the two suspects a man and woman, they died in the gun battle will with police. late wednesday those suspects were identified as 28 year-old syed rizwan farouk and you a county employee and his wife,

schuylkill and broad, this is that overnight construction we have been dealing with for quite sometime. we have construction in new jersey route 38 both directions between route 206, and marter avenue right lane blocked until 6:00 a.m. i will let you know as soon as that gets out of the way. holiday tree lighting rescheduled from tuesday to today at 5:00 p.m. city hall will have a tree lighting at 6:00 p.m. then use caution, girard avenue slip ramps to i the 95 northbound will be closing. use this alternate, it looks like eastbound girard avenue on richmond street right on delaware avenue and then take ramp to i-95 northbound so overall things are looking good, kind of a normal, dry morning if you will, katie. what i love is i just said the word dry,. >> in kidding, for the last 48 hours you have in the been able to use that word and be literal about it. this is a nice change of pace here as our storm system is finally out and meisha mention that had rittenhouse square
