>> it only gets nice fresh here, too. yesterday meisha we had the breeze to contend with, did make it feel cooler than the thermometer red, but now the breeze has wounds down, high pressure settling in, that can only mean good things for our weather pattern, for the next couple of days we keep the sun around, keep beautiful conditions in the forecast, right through the weekends, then things do start to change little bit as we head into next week. but let's focus on the good stuff. we start off by taking a glance at how these temperatures have sort of played out for the last couple of days, on wednesday, we ended up hitting 06 degrees, damp, very dreary day obviously with all of the rain that came in that day. still significantly above the norm. we are going to keep the temperaturest least a degree or two above the norm, right through the weekend. and in fact, it will actually be nice uphill climb come sunday, who i pressure continues to build over our area. for now, though storm scan quiet as can be. pretty clear sky, we throw the satelite coverage on top of this. no precipitation right now, we still do have very thin cloud cover over head regardless

still off to chilly start. you know, down back to the 30's atlantic city, that's a spot that we still generally into the 50's, even, for the last couple of mornings, so it really is a bit of a rude awakening in terms of that. but again, the breeze is basically gone. so it is a much calmer day in that regard. temperatures meanwhile expected to hit basically low 50's around the region as a whole, very seasonable generally speaking again, normal highs, 49. so it will be a smidge above that in philadelphia. but we keep the sunshine region wide down the shore perhaps still little breezy as you're by the ocean, overall, nice forecast, to wrap up a work week. meisha. >> great to see that sunshine, katie. love it. thank you for. that and tgif to all of you at home if you are just waking up with us, still dark, still early outside. fifty-nine north to dot man closed see the flashing lights, there so again moving in the northbound direction, southbound just starting to heat up. we're only what 4:30 in the morning, already starting to see volume on interstate 95.

off ramp, that's closed not going to cause too many slow downs as of yet specially moving in the northbound direction. schuylkill eastbound at spring garden beautiful shot of the city if the backgrounds, looking real good. everyone still traveling at posted speeds obviously at this early morning. the vine is so close looks like the westbound side might just be opening with that vehicle right there. nevertheless, eastbound and westbound, just moments ago, were completely closed you can see eastbound still close right now for sure, that usually lift right around 5:00 a.m. in the morning. do have construction, 59 north at the betsy ross bridge. that will had one lane down, that's just now since been cleared, so that's great news for you in that area. patco running new schedule, starting yesterday, through december 20th, track work, both friday and weekends, nicole, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. we do have some breaking news this morning in egypt. at least 12 people have been killed and another five injured at a cairo night club. reports say three men on motorcycle through molotov cocktails into the club early this morning. the suspect then fled,

authorities are investigating that attack. >> also, new this morning, philadelphia police officer is taken to the hospital after her patrol car was rearended overnight. this happened around 1:00 a.m. on the schuylkill expressway off ramp to passyunk avenue. the female officer was taken to presbyterian hospital for minor back pain. the driver of the other vehicle was arrested for suspicion of dui. >> and check out these intense flames, captured this morning, by viewer in runnemede, new jersey, the fire broke out on south green avenue around 2:00 this morning. "eyewitness news" has learned the fire started in the basement. now the house has sustained a lot of damage, but the good news here, no injuries have been reported. >> well, shock has turned to grief after the massacre in san bernardino, california. last night people attended a candlelight vigil at san manuel stadium. they remembered the 14 people killed and the 21 other who were wounded. it was one of several vigils throughout the city. >> meantime, investigators collected evidence from the red lands home of the two suspect, syed farook and his

wife tashfeen malik. police say the couple had stockpiled cash a of weapons, bombs, and and eunice. farook was american born and san bernardino employee. law enforcement source says they shot management personnel first. >> it was unspeakable, the carnage that we were seeing, the number of people who were injured and unfortunately already dead and the peer panic on the face of those individuals that were still in need. >> law enforcement sources tell cbs news farook had been in contact with people in the u.s. and overseas with us is expected links to terrorism. >> well, many muslims across the country say they're praying for calm. about 200 people gathered at a mosque in chino, that's located about 20 miles from the shooting scene. mosque leaders denounce the violence and caution that no one yet knows the motive and cannot presume it was fate driven. >> one of the victims of the san bernardino massacre has

ties to our area. nick was one of the 14 victims killed on wednesday. he was a health inspector for san bernardino county. he worked for the cape may health health department before moving out in 1991. mental health record to first notify law end formsment of their petition. the bill was pulled before that vote was formally recorded which allows it to be introduced once again. >> in washington, the senate has voted against bipartisan measure to expand backgrounds checks for gun purchases on line and also at gun shows. currently, checks are only required from licensed gun dealers. gop presidential contenders ted cruz, lindsey graham, rand paul, and marco rubio oppose that measure which was co-authored by pennsylvania senator pat toomey, the same proposal the senate rejected three years avianca the sandy hook massacre. november's jobs report is due out today it, could offer some clues that wages are beginning to pick up for the first time since the great recession, and in about six and a half years ago. economists predict the report will show that 200,000 more jobs were added last month, and that the unemployment rate remains at 5%. >> the pentagon has ordered every branch of the us

military to open all combat jobs to women. news conference yesterday, defense secretary ash carter said there would be no exceptions, as long as they qualify and meet the set standards. order will allow women to serve in the military special forces like the army rangers, air force parra jumpers, other roles previously open to men. >> even more importantly our military will be better able to harnace the skills and perspectives that talented women have to offer. >> carter gave the armed usurp advises 30 days to smith plans to make the historic change, which opens up the final 10% of roles that excluded women. >> well, we've learned over night that scott lieland former front man of the stone temple pilots has died at age 48. his facebook page says he died in his sleep while on tour stop in bloomington, minnisota he was traveling with his band, scott wheel and and the wild about's, the group scheduled to perform at the med dina ballroom sunday night. that will show watts canceled. also lead singer of bells of

thin vale of cloud cover. here's that front we were just talking about in terms of the nasa launch, same system, the tail end of it is still casino of hung up over the sunshine state. so not quite as much sunshine in most of that portion. us at this point. but, we are seeing high pressure regardless, take the lead, across essentially the eastern two thirds of the united states, that bodes very well for the next couple of days. make some outdoor plans, even if you have already, you know, not the procrastinator like me, and already done the christmas tree gone out and cut that down, already done maybe your holiday decorations on front of the house. it is still so nice outside, find an excuse to enjoy it, right? sunshine today, sunshine tomorrow, sunshine on sunday, and temperatures that only go on little uphill climb with every single day. now, clouds do start to build back in monday, that's because we start to see new storm developing off to the south. still expecting dry weather regardless at that point. then the rain potentially starts to move in. we will talk about. that will mostly sunny, seasonably cool for you today. come sunday evening, how

>> well, good morning, nicole, europe central bank shocked investors, by not putting in place a stronger economic stimulus, at yesterday's meeting. that, and concern that the san bernardino shootings were terrorism, that sparked real big sell off on wall street. investors don't like uncertainty, and of course, today all eyes will be on the big jobs report. that comes out at the opening bell. we'll definitely be moving the market, nick snow. >> jill, thanks, also, between uber and lift, and other car services, it can be kind of confusing as to which car is actually yours when you call for pick up. so we're hearing that ooh is her trying to fix that problem? >> reporter: yes, uber wants to make sure you actually get into the right call when you call for pick up. so the app is testing color coding technology, called spot. riders will be able to choose a color within the app, and then uber, the cars windshield, will light up with that chosen color, so you can better identify t right now this is being tested in seattle. but a good idea, specially in

>> 4,503 let's check on the roads with meisha. >> good morning, nicole, good morning to all of you at home if you are just waking up with us, still quiet out there. i will say some of your major interstates, starting to sigh people get early jump to the day. i don't blame you, it is friday, you want to get out early. new jersey 42 northbound, creek road, looking good, looking nice and still. this is typically what we see probably at this hour, we'll see it start to amp up little bit in the 5:00 hour. overall friday one of the lighter travel days. vine looking good, westbound lanes now open.

still waiting on the eastbound, i'm sure that they will be opening at any moment. so looking good there. ninety-five north, that off ramp to cottman, closed but looks being like they're starting to get it cleared out. northbound direction, not causing too many slow downs for you, southbound side, what i got my eye on right now, you can see plenty of headlights out there already. of course everyone still traveling at posted speeds. mass transit, media elwin line busing this weekends, also the airport line bussing between the terminals e and f and 30th street. just make note of that. also, patco running new schedule starting yesterday. so, katie, overall, roadways are looking good. nice and dry this morning, what a nice change, and there is so much sun in the forecast. >> there certainly is. yes, high pressure really hook us up for couple every days here, meisha, a so we can expect the sunshine, also nice little uphill climb on the thermometer readings through the course of the weekend, nice little trade off that comes along with that, as well. but, let's start it off with a look at storm scan, which once again remains empty at this point, as high pressure continues to settle in. we will see more downward

motion, in other words, some sinking air will help scour out the clouds, end up with three straight days of wall-to-wall sunshine n addition to that, though, jet stream continues to remain off to the north. and the mild air is going to stick with us. so, as a result, those temperatures, i am aim sure you can imagine, will starting to on this nice uphill climb. in the the little pulls of green, that's out over, say, the twin sitters, iowa come sunday, new storm system at least colder air that's going to company new storm that will eventually start to nudge in for us. so, we do start to see the temperatures taking little bit after hit come next week. certainly next week. but still above average by at least a degree or two through the seven day. so, you know, weaver been calling for a nice mild beginning to meteorological winter and sure enough that's definitely playing out in the forecast at this point. and better yet, we're keeping the sunshine right through the weekend, nicole until. >> katie, thank you. now a check of some of the stories our sister station "kyw news radio 1060" is

morning to all of you at home. still early, still dark out there. good news, waking to up dry roadways this friday. and i love saying that it is friday, because it gets everyone in a good mood right off the bat. here is a look at the blue route, headlights moving in the southbound direction, ridge hike, everyone traveling at posted speeds, what we want to see, still moving just into this 5:00 hour, here is a look at the ben franklin bridge, those of you coming from jersey heading in the westbound direction, look at this, number one, beautiful shot. i say this all the time. light are gorgeous. but also, look how quiet, so quiet, and enjoy those empty roadways. this is 95 north. this is interstate 95 heading in the northbound dredge, where the off ram top cottman is closed until right around 5:00 a.m. looks like they are trying to get that cleared out of your way right now. do have accident in burlington, new jersey, overturned vehicle, possible vehicle fire, route 130 northbound at tyler street, one lane is blocked in and around this area. now it is still early, so hopefully this gets cleaned out of our
