a good morning, hammy friday, ladies? good morning, yes, tgif. what a great weekend. it is going to be. roadways are dry. we do have couple of accident out there, but not slippery conditions, obviously, katie, great driving conditions. so they have no excuse this morning. >> yes, looking good. we can expect to see the nice quiet weather continue through the weekends, them things do start to shift little bit in the pattern. for now, all good smooth sailing here, as we kick off not only the last day back to work but the up coming weekend so looking fantastic, nice generally clearing skies for you out there right now, all courtesy of high pressure. and we can actually see the skyscrapers behind me for a change. that's good news, right? storm scan3, quiet as can be with the tri-state sweep being made. put the satelite coverage over top, yes, thin vale of cloud cover. not messing with your morning, though, not low to the ground. that was the problem, in recent days here, right? but those clouds too even though higher up in the atmosphere, they too will start to thin out with time, courtesy of the high pressure

morning, viewer video captures a huge fire overnight in runnemede. >> this happened in the unit block of south read avenue around 2:00. now, we're told it started in the basement, there are no report of injuries, so good news there, but lots of damage to that home. >> san bernardino california continues to grieve after wednesday's mass shooting. overnight people gathered pray at memorials there. there were vigils throughout the city for the 14 people who died in the 21 who were wounded. nearly all the dead and wounded were counting employees. cbs news reports that search revealed that the two suspect were actually building bombs inside their homes using items like christmas tree light and smoke less gun powder. chris martinez is in san bernardino to bring us up to date on this investigation. as thousands gathered at candlelight and prayer vigil last night to remember the victims killed in san bernardino, the focus turns to what motivated sigh ad farook and his wife tashfeen malik to execute mass murder. >> we are in so much shock.

>> sarah khan, related to the suspect who were shot during the shoot-out with police. >> i cannot believe my brother, sister-in-law, they were happily married, and have a beautiful six month old. >> they returned with malik who came to the u.s. on fiancee visa. while the couple was not on any terror watch list, law enforcement sources tell cbs news farook had been in contact with people both in the u.s. and overseas, with possible ties to terrorism. when. >> when what it adds up to me, a guy probably radicalized by either isis oral died a. >> officials recovered thousands of bullet and more than dozen pipe bombs inside the couple's home. cbs news has learned those devices were made from christmas tree light and radio control toys. >> clearly they were equipped and could have continued to do another attack. we intercepted them before that happened. >> authority are now searching

with such warmth, where is it all coming from, jet stream. we talk about this yesterday actually keeping not just the northeast, but most of the us, above average, as we've kick off the early days of december, and certainly the entire month of november. stayed much the same. the cold air just gets blocked off to the north. not talking about polar vortex, nothing like that at this point. 44 degrees the current temperature at the port, 30's most remote suburbs but give you perspective here. yes, 26 looks awfully cold in the twin cities right? normal low, in minneapolis, on this day of the year, 16. not too bad then right? you're 10 degrees above average right now. looking forward in the forecast, we see those temperatures going nice uphill climb. fifty-seven by sunday. that is my personal favorite of this forecast, with high pressure in place, we warm it up out there, before it was 60, guys. >> oh, my goodness, kate. >> i not bad. >> goodness gracious. you are just a deliver err of good news today. >> yes, you are.

>> we always love it. >> meisha, what do you have for us? >> aim not going to try to top. that will traffic is not as good this morning, but we do have dry roadways, just sticky spots out there. one of the accidents that is just clearing out of our way right now, taking peak at the schuylkill, eastbound, past south street. it was pulled all the way off to the shoulder in fact looks like it has cleared. so, this is great news. again, this is the schuylkill eastbound past south street. this is where we had accident that just cleared. as you can see, it is still busy out there. one after the ers, volume level picking up. we can expect that on the schuylkill and 95, looking busy, cottman, around the s curve looking very busy right now, the good news is anywhere that we are seeing this kind of volume, still almost travel at posted speeds, starting to see brake lights go on. so just know you might want to give yourself couple every extra minutes trying to get to work specially trying to get to work early this morning. a look at the boulevard, headlights moving in the

honest, we like it when storm scan is boring, has nothing to show us here still nice clear sky, see, though, even through burlington county in the last hour or two how those higher clouds have had chance to start sending out, that's kind of the story for the rest of the day, high pressure building in get the downward motion, singing air, help scour out the cloud cover, generally talking more sun than anything today. look at the air temperature difference since yesterday. pretty much balancing out, lancaster and reading, but it is a lot colder this morning, millville, ac, wilmington, and remember, yesterday, we with still sort of dealing with the balance taking place another southeastern portion of the area had to get in on the chill. what it's done to your thermometer readings in ac, 35 degrees, current temperature, not terribly breezy any more. so what you see is what you get on the they are mom term, in other words, actually feels like 35.

accident in new jersey, 295 southbound at mt. holly, you certainly want to avoid this area, if you can, right now, and another accident in burlington, new jersey, an overturned vehicle, route 130 northbound at tyler street again this is another area you want to avoid, busy, and a lot of lights going on out there. >> grieving process continues, after the mass shooting in san bernardino, california. last night, people attended prayer and candlelight vigil at sam manuel stadium for the 14 dead, 21 wounded police searching the home of farook animal evening, the two stockpile ammunition, building bombs inside their home. one of the first responders to the shooting were called to action when he arrived at the scene. >> as we enters into the conference room, the situation was surreal. it was something that i don't think, again, we prepare for. >> law enforcement sources tell cbs news, farook had been

in contact with people inside the us, and overseas, with us is expected links to terrorism shooting in california hitting close to home for one local family. one of the victims use today live and work in south jersey. mick thal thalasinos moved to california. but years before that was actually health inspector in cape may county. today, his family here at home and all the way across the country, are left shocked by his sudden death. >> can't describe it. there is just no words. i don't know whatever our difference might have been, you know he and bring parent together, we loved each other. >> annette thalasinos still processing her new reality, her ex-husband was one of 14 people killed in the san bernardino california shooting

on wednesday. >> people don't realize when you go to bed at night that your world can be changed when you wake up the next day, nick thalasinos was health inspector in san bernardino, california, but years before they where made encouraging an i can nick world at the cape may county health department. >> was on the hazmat team, worked as food and water inspector, he wanted to make sure that his community was safe. >> they've been estranged since divorce. but annette and nick now have two grown sons, and nick had recently reconnected with his oldest son, who lives in delaware county. >> i'm just minding my boy's hearts go out to his wife jennifer. >> he is a wonderful man. we met on line. we have been together for 14 years. >> jennifer thalasinos remembers her husband as a kind person, and while nick had posted comments, critical of islam on social media, his widow tells cbs news, she can't believe he would ever become a target. >> they got along, that's what -- and as far as i know,

he got along with everybody. that's what so shocking, that he would turn around and do this. >> jennifer goes on to say that her husband was extremely protective. she said she would not be surprised if he was killed trying to help his co-workers on wednesday. live in the sat center, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> jan, thank you. meanwhile, paris cafe that became a terrorist target is back in business. labonnebeer reopened this morning, on november 13th, islamic extremists shot and killed five people inside that cafe. 130 died in those attacks. since then, the shuttered cafe and other sites have been piled high with flowers. >> in a historic decision, the pentagon has ordered every branch of the us military it open all combat jobs to women. in a news conference yesterday, defense secretary, ash carter, said there would be no exceptions, as long as they qualify and meet the set standards. the armed services has 30 days to smith plans to make that change.

few more clouds to the south, might bring us wet weather by tuesday, meisha? >> beautiful weather makes me want to shop. thanks, katie. good morning, everyone. tgif. this is a look at the ben franklin bridge. for those of you coming in the westbound direction, trying to make your way into center city. looking actually pretty good on the ben franklin bridge right now, 42 freeway in jersey at creek road approaching 295 looking busy, volume levels certainly heating up there, and also look, take a look, schuylkill at the conshohocken curve of. traveling less than posted spree in the area. do have accident in feltonville, hunting park avenue at whitaker avenue. intersection block there. also another accident, burlington new jersey overturned vehicle, route 130 northbound at tyler street. you just want to avoid this area if you can. the right lane blocked. but there is still flashing lights there. also, do have some construction here, girard avenue ramp to i95 northbound closed permanently, so as you can see on the screen i do have alternate up there that you can use.
