von tiehl. justin is out on the skydeck for us, meisha checking the roads in the traffic center. >> good morning, everyone, we are going to have some happy caers this morning coming up, eagles win, it will be beautiful outside. right now roadways are looking good. justin, how is it feeling outside? >> cold right now. like you said, nice weather to talk about later this afternoon, talk about highs back to the 50's with the sunshine, now, outside right now, i can't see it, but if you go out, look at the moon, you'll seabright star close to it, that's actually the planet venus, pretty close together this morning. if you have good visibility, some areas dealing with some haze, fog this morning, so that may impact the viewing right before sunrise, check out venus and the moon together. thirty-six now at the airport, dropping little bit. below freezing up in allentown and reading, upper 20's at this hour, wilmington still hanging in at 33 degrees, millville, 29. the suburbs kinds of the same deal at or below freezing, willow grove, doylestown, quakertown and pottstown, the problem is, we do have that area of locally dense fog, especially in parts of interior south jersey, and

morning thinking about right now. forty-two freeway in new jersey looking good move in the northbound direction, at creek road, as you push northbound, to 295. looking like this basically anywhere you go. plenty of headlights out there, everyone still obviously traveling at posted speeds, still early out there. here is a lock at the schuylkill, taillights, moving in the eastbound direction, this is past 202, looking very quiet, very nice, we know that this is going to be changing mondays are one of the busiest travel days of the entire work week, we know it will get busy out there. here is a look at the ben franklin bridge, jersey, coming over westbound, no problems crossing over this beautiful bridge. it is little up with the dark sky behind youment construction 95 north that ramp to the blue route closed tonight at 8:00 p.m. until tomorrow at 5:00 a.m. erika, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. new this morning, police investigating shooting in south philadelphia. the incident happened just before 11:00 last night, it happened near the intersection of 13th and porter. they say a 41 year old man was shot once in the chest. he was taken to jefferson

hospital where at last check he was list in the stable condition. police have one person in custody. also, new this morning, a firefighter is in the hospital after battling a house fire in philadelphia's point breeze neighborhood. it broke out around 1:00 in the 2300 block of moore street. firefighters quickly place that fire under control. authorities tell us no one was at home at the time. the firefighters being treated for smoke inhalation, we are told he is going to be okay. the cause that far fire is under investigation. meanwhile, president obama tries to reassure the american people after the deadly mass shooting in california. the president declared the massacre in san bernardino an act of terrorism. while also calling on congress to enact new gun laws. mark albert with the details from washington, d.c. in just his third oval office address, president obama warned the nation that isis or isil threatens us all. >> the threat from terrorism is real. but we will overcome it.

we will destroy isil, and any other organization that tries to harm us. >> the 13 and a half minute speech came four days after the mass shooting in san bernardino, california, killed 14 people, and less than a month after the paris attacks. >> as a father, to two young daughters, who are the most precious part of my life, i know that we see ourselves with friends and co-workers at a holiday party like the one in san bernardino, i know we see our kids in the faces of the young people killed in paris. >> the president called on congress to ban people on the no fly list from buying guns, restrict sales of assault rivals like the ones used in san bernardino, and enact stronger screening for those entering the us without a visa. >> mr. obama also wants congress to give him explicit authorization to use force against isis. the president vowed not to get no another decade long war on foreign soil, and said that the battle is not with any religion. >> we cannot turn against one

in center city. do have some areas of fog developing outside the city, but if you look up in the sky this morning, before sunrise, you will be able to see the moon and venus real close together, if you're not obscured by that fog in some spots. so here's what what to expect. patchy dense fog, some visibility less than half mile in some locations specially down across interior south jersey, and some temps below freezing, so there could be areas of freezing fog, the fog itself in liquid form. once it hits contact, such as car or some of the road surface it is could freeze up. could be some icy spots specially bridges and overpasses so just slow it down this morning, fog should dissipate between around 8:00, 9:00 or so. these are our visibility forecasts, again, less than half mile in some locations but by 9:00 we see that big improvement once the sun is up. it starts to heat things up little bit. that fog will dissipate. temperatures outside the city below freezing north and west, and south jersey. some clouds rolling through our region right now. and they are mid to high level clouds. no threat of any precipitation today. storm system out across the midwest right now, southern

ohio, that pretty much stays to the south. just see few clouds overall nice dry mild stretch in our forecast, one storm exits the region that upper level system roams on through later today. high pressure back on top of us for tuesday and wednesday, keeping us dry, locks our temperature above average, low to mid 50's, by the ends of the week more clouds return thursday, but talking about highs in the mid 50's, then making run at 60 by the end of the work week. so our future weather today after the morning fog we give way to mostly sunny skies maybe few clouds around tonight. once again, and then tomorrow, generally mostly sunny afternoon. so for today, enjoy it, sunshine, 54 degrees with high temperature with light winds, chilly tonight, 36 for the low. some 20's once again in the suburbs, and check out this extended forecast, hard to beat if you like mild temperatures, for early to mid december. low 50's through much of the week by the end of the week near 650, friday, and well into the lower 60s saturday and sunday, in the sunshine. let's head over to meisha for a check on the roads. >> justin, will you come over here and pinch me?
