good morning, new this morning, investigators are uncovering new information about the couple hine the stand bernadino massacre including how they prepared for the deadly shooting rampage. >> now, we're hearing from gun range work here saw one of the shooters just days before that attack. we have the detail. also, dramatic rescue when woman is trapped in her burning car. we're now hearing from the hero who risk his life to save hers and they had just seconds to stand. checking the roads and forecast. if this is december i'll take it. my goodness. >> same here, and i think all of the morning commuters feel the same way. can you imagine, december driving, what we typically could be dealing with, and right now? >> so true. >> no ice on the problems, no problems. >> no problems.

>> this is the kind of forecast not only i absolutely love to give but lets me property the seat up little bit, just little bit. we do have at least one i call very minor hiccup, feature that will be crossing through the delaware vale. not really bringing us much. more than anything, we warm up from here. we are going to keep the warmth in place right through the weekend, and those are the warmest days of the forecast. soap, we've enjoyed such beautiful weather as of late. specially on weekends, looks like that luck will stick with us here. let's take a look at december thus far. well, every single day so far has been above average by at least 3 degrees. now, 3 degrees might not sound like heck of a lot. but talking averages, that's huge deal. granted we've only got seven full days to actually measure against, but that puts us at 6.4 degrees above average for the month thus far. we really don't see any major cool-downs any time soon either. which is fantastic news, if you're a fan of that. i know ski lovers are not re juicing in this news specially the folks that own the businesses, because you can't ma snow when it is this

one lane actually now open. back to you. >> thank you, new jersey governor chris christie has ordered flags at state buildings to fly at half staff today in the memory of the victims of the san bernardino shooting. as danielle nottingham reports, investigators uncovering more information about the two suspects. >> this is a picture of syed farook and tashfeen malik at chicago's o'hare airport entering the us for the first time as engaged cup nel july 2014. nearly a year and a half later they would kill 14 people at a holiday party in san bernardino, california. investigators are working around the clock to pinpoint what led them to do it. >> we have learned and believe that both subjects were radicalized and have been for quite some time. >> the fbi says the couple prepared a lot for the attack. they even went to gun ranges around the los angeles area for target practice. workers at this riverside range say farook practiced shooting his ar15 rifle alongside law enforcement

officers days before the attack. >> i'm still really in shock. i mean, there were no signs of anything. >> the fbi is also combing through evidence seized from this home that belongs to say he had farook's friend, agents traced two assault rivals used in the shootings to him who reportedly check himself into a pschiatric hospital after the attack. >> our major concern is determining how those firearms, the rifles in particular, got from marquez to farook animal evening. >> thousands of san bernardino county workers headed back to work monday, while this memorial for their co-workers continues to grow. in san bernardino, california, danielle nottingham for cbs-3, "eyewitness news". meantime the department of homelands security plans to unveil a new terror alert system soon. it will include an intermediate level to better reflect the new types of global terrorism threats the us now faces this will be the third change the system, the first of which went into place

at the september 11 attacks. 5:36 right now. good samaritan saves woman from burning car in burlington county. it happened saturday in mt. laurel when a driver crashed into an utility pole bringing down live wires and a transformer. vincent bronson didn't think the woman behind the wheel had much time. he got her out before the explosion was only moments to spare. >> we opened the door. i tried to take the seatbelt off her, i couldn't. i just ripped the seatbelt out, i don't now how i did it, but ripped it out, grabbed her out of the carry, as soon as we got to the back of the car an explosion went. >> that woman did not suffer life threatening injuries. police are not identifying her. >> right now, 5:36. in business news this morning, nike breaking new grounds with its latest huge endorsement deal. money watch's jill wagner joins i at the stock exchange, details on that and much more for us. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, erika. energy stocks are taking big

hit, and dragging down the market. dow lost 117-point yesterday, the nasdaq dropped 40. oil now trading at it lowest level in more than six years, on friday, opek decided not to cut oil production, even though over supplies from the middle east and here in the united states is sending prices lower. bad news for energy companies. but good news for drivers who are enjoying lowest gas prices in months. today congress holds its first hearing on the proposed merger between the world's two biggest beer companies. anheiser bush agreed buy sab miller for $107 billion. the deal needs regulatory approval because the combined company would sell about one in three beers world-wide. >> and, basketball superstar labron james signed lifetime contract with nike, first ever, for the company. financial terms of the deal haven't been disclosed. james did sign $90 million contract with nike just after he answered the nba draft in 2003. he has his own shoe and

clothing line. erika? >> lifetime deal. sounds pretty nice, jill, thanks so much. hey, talking sports, eagles game with the arizona cardinals on december 20th it has been moved to 83:00 sunday night. it is the league's option to move more desirable games to the prime time spot. also, the eagles are now tide at the top of the nfc east with washington and new york, all of them at five and seven on the season. >> and, you can say former eagle desean jackson for. that will played big role in last night's game between washington and dallas. his fumble on punt return set up a touchdown by the cowboys. but then his 28-yard touchdown catch put washington back in front. all of this in the final two minute of the prime time game. bailey's 54 yarder won it for the cowboys 19 to 16, with just nine seconds left. well, the eagles will try to stay in first place on sunday when they welcome their all time leading rusher back to town, mccoy returns to philadelphia with the buffalo bills for the first time since he was traded.

you can see the game right here on cbs-3 at 1:00. the sixers are shaking up the front office a little with veteran executive, jerry co-angelo coming in as the new chairman of basketball operations. co-angelo has been owner, coach, and general manager in his long career. he's owned both the phoenix suns and the arizona diamond backs. he's also run usa basketball. co-angelo has a long track record and is eager to help. >> been there and done that under different circumstances. so i'm excited about this. it is nice to feel that there is someone there who feels you have something to offer at this stage of my life, and so i'm excited about this opportunity. >> last night's game now against the purse, angelo okafor back after his two game suspension. okafor had ten points on the night, but it was no where near to derail the spurs.

i guethought to the acidity much in any foods. never thought about the coffee i was drinking having acids. it never dawned on me that it could hurt your teeth. my dentist has told me your enamel is wearing away, and that sounded really scary to me, and i was like well can you fix it, can you paint it back on, and he explained that it was not something that grows back, it's kind of a one-time shot and you have to care for it. he told me to use pronamel. it's gonna help protect the enamel in your teeth. it allows me to continue to drink my coffee and to eat healthier, and it was a real easy switch to make.

monday, made it the wettest day ever in the city. in some places the water rose so quickly, people needed to be rescued from their homes, 100 year old woman was among those taken to safety here. >> when i saw all of this water this morning, i thought this isn't right. >> well, i can't get anywhere i want to go today. >> as if navigating flooded roads wasn't enough, the storm also disrupted bus and light rail service in the city, even 18 wheelers had trouble getting around. landslides were also a problem, and forced resident to make tough decisions. >> i'm going to definitely go back and get my dog and see if we can get the heck out of here. >> flood watches remain in effect in the area, through thursday afternoon, but, meteorologists say the rain likely won't stop until the end of the week. don champion, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". hey, here, katie, roads looking pretty good? >> absolutely are. look at the nationwide map. see on storm scan, definitely still a lot of activity going

tuning on in, live shot, water main break, happened last night in juniata park, east cayuga street closed between bing ton street and claring street right around here, certainly want to use alternate. i would suggest hunting park avenue. again, this is the water main break that happened last night in juniata park. so again, alternate hunting park avenue. now live look outside, 95 southbound at girard, looking pretty good. we know 95 is heating up right now as we push toward that 6:00 hour. both in the northbound and southbound directions, looking little bit more volume levels are increasing but we will see southbound of course heat up even quicker. burlington bristol bridge, should be opening any minute. the talcony palmyra bridge is scheduled also to open right around 6:00 a.m. this is where we have another water main break, east norriton twp. line road closed between pot shop road and while hall road. again you want to use alternate here as well, west german town pike would be it for those of in you and around the area. and flooding due to drainage

problem, control end road between sharon drive, alter brook drive, one lane open there. over to you. >> ♪ >> oh, the word this morning is angels. some of the world's most beautiful women strut down the runway tonight for the victoria secret fashion show right here on cbs-3. i spoke with super models about this year's show and which musical performances they were excited to see. >> i was very excited for the weekend. i'm obsessed with that song. i can't feel my face. and i actually walked, walk while he was performing it. and that was really fun. salina gomez, absolutely killed it, as well, ellie was incredible. such classy, classy, beautiful performers. very fun. >> march, that i mean, i can't imagine what it is like walking down a runway let alone wearing the enormous wings. just how refry those? are they hard to walk? >> oh, my god, yes, they are have hard to walk in, i practice with my trainer the

day before back and forth in the gym with high heels and weighted vest just to practice for something that heavy. it is my third time doing the show, but the first time wearing such heavy wings. and the wings were i think 20-pound and my corset was 22-pound, full of 90,000 sparkly crystals so i think i had like 42 pounds on me walking, closing the show. which was a very special moment. and i'm very grateful for it. but it is not an easy job to make it look easy. that's for sure. adrenyline is our friend during that show. >> i can only imagine. now, i think it is a lot of our personal nightmares to be seen in public in our underwear. but you like you said make it look so easy. you look fantastic on national television. were there any outfits that you really just love to walk in? i know there are hand crafted just look so beautiful. >> i think every year you're just kind of -- my favorite part of it is going to the fitting and kind of seeing finally seeing all of the outfits and all of the sections and, you know, seeing what they've made. i think my favorite, candice

authorities say 22 year old matthew riggins decided to hide in a pond during a robbery. when they couldn't catch him that night, they called off the manhunt. but, his body floated to the surface, several days later, at that same location. not far away, that gator was found still alive. medical examiner found evidence inside that gator's stomach tax connects rig towns that crime scene. a zombie nativity scene causing stir in one ohio town. this is the scene, near cincinnati, it is complete with mary, joseph, weiss men, and razor tooth baby jesus, in a manger. the idea began as publicity stunt, to bring visitors to haunted house, the family ran, but zoning officials and religious groups don't want this zombie nativity, ordering the family to take it down. >> i think it is the theme, just rubs people the wrong way, puts the spotlight on me, that's why they're coming down so hard on me. >> family could be fined $500 a day. they're asking for donations
