purchased by marquez, childhood friend of accused killer syed farook, sources tell cbs news that f.b.i. agents questioned mark quest yesterday. he has not been arrested and is providing them with information. crews are working to repair a water main break in juniata and get running water back to some of the neighborhood homes. the 12-inch main broke around 8:30 on the 1100 block of cayuga street. more than dozen properties lost water. officials say it should be restored this afternoon. there is no word on what caused that break. >> another wonderful day weather wise, temperatures could be headed for some record highs this weekend, oh, katie, i'm loving december, if we're calling this december weather these days. >> isn't that crazy? when you are talking about the potential for 60s in the forecast, in the middle of december, i mean, we're only couple of weeks away from christmas at this point. not the most typical thing in the world, in fact, this same time, a year or two ago, dealing with snow, and now it is just complete opposite here, dealing more than anything with spring like

conditions in the days ahead. let's go ahead, take a look where we are going on the thermometer here. we look forward in the forecast, temperatures continuing their climb, we get you back into the 50's, today, little cooler than yesterday still considered but still technically above average, keep on climbing through the mid 50's, the upper 50s, then eventually, yes, 60s come saturday. storm scan quiet as can be. has been storm system lingering nearby, but has actually been rotating away. now any hint of precipitation is long gone from storm scan. looking at the area temperatures right now, we're flirting at least with our expected daytime high already, 47 degrees at this airport at the moment, at 48 degrees atlantic city about 40 up in the mountains with calmer wind, we do expect to tack on few additional degrees in the forecast for you here this afternoon, ooh degrees our expected high he in philadelphia, and down at the shore points, we should get little bit milder here, and we'll get you only at best into the low four's looks like out in the poconos, regardless, quiet weather continuing for us. not just today, but for good

portion of this forecast. and to boot, erika, as we talked about, nice mild air will go along with it. >> perfect holiday shopping weather, katie. >> neighbor being called a hero this noon, investigators search for the cause of early morning fire. there were reports of victims trapped inside a burning home in the north woods section of philly. that fire broke out on the 4600 block of oakland street. a 26 year old woman reportedly jumped to safety from back window. young girl followed. families say a neighbor caught one of the woman's daughters. >> it was crazy, i went out front, at first, there was so much fire, so i ran to the back, and she couldn't move, her legs messed up, and she jumped out the window. >> molk alarm went off. family react today it properly. everyone was able to get out. we have so many injuries but no fatalities to report here today. >> the mother and the girls are in stage condition at einstein hospital. investigators are still looking into the cause of this deadly accident in east falls.

chopper three, over the roosevelt boulevard, off ramp to fox street. where a single car hit a pole and then flipped over around 7:15 this morning. the name of the victim has not been released. the accident snarled morning traffic in the area, that road is still block off right now. home own nerve northeast philadelphia shoots and kills a home invasion suspect. it happened just after 11:30 last night, 6100 block of reed street in lawncrest. police say five people, three men, two women, were home when armed suspect burst inside. investigators believe the motive behind that home invasion may have been drug-related. >> we did find what appears to be about half pound of marijuana. it was a green weed-like substance. there is also several hundred dollars right next to this alleged marijuana. >> we're told none of the five people in the house were hurt. and they are cooperating with police. however, the homeowner could

face drug-related charges where the alleged items were found in the basement. couple is charged with the murder after community activist in fishtown. fifty-four year old kathy wilson found badly beaten inside her home the 1300 block of earl street yesterday morning. investigators say 50 year old james, and his 47 year old girlfriend, james johnson, confessed to the murder. the couple was employed by wilson to do odd jobs around the house. investigators tell us that $20,000 was taken from the victim. happening today, former eagles quarterback, michael vick; head today harrisburg to lobby lawmakers on bill to protect pets left in hot cars. vick has work on animal right issues since he was released from prison. he served 21 months for his part in a dog fighting ring before returning to the nfl. vick's bill would allow first respond tears break into cars to rescue animals in distress without being held liable for damages. the secret service officer accused of trying to solicit

lennon's killer, mark david chapman, remains in prison, he was denied parole last year for the 14th time. a memorial in los angeles today, will call for ends to gun violence. the musicians performing during the start of the paris terror attacks return home today victims. the california band the eagles of death metal view the shrine this morning, they laid flowers at the site where 89 people were killed during the november 13th attacks. the band escaped the violence by hiding in their dressing rooms. >> these are our brothers, our fellow trubadors, they were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, and we would like to offer them ours tonight. >> a special moment on stage last night when the eagles of death metal performed with u2. bono surprised fans when he brought the band on to the stage during the concert. the two bands joined forces, singing patty smith's song people have the power. after the concert, the eagles of death metal thank you facebook and wrote thank you

e.coli outbreak. cbs news core upon dent hen a daniels has more. >> workers cleaned surfaces at a chipotle restaurant in boston after 30 boston college student got sick, including at least eight members of the school's basketball team. >> actually one was in for a concussion, when she walked out like ten people in the waiting room all with bucket just throwing up from chipotle. >> boston college says the come on, is that the student ate at the chipotle restaurant near campus. at least one student from boston university says she got sick too. >> i just went to eat here this past weekend. and i got really sick yesterday. so it was the first time i left my house. i was wondering what was happening over here. >> massachusetts department of public health is investigating. this is the first chipotle in massachusetts to report a problem. nine other states have linked e-coli cases in november and december to chipotle restaurants. spokesman says there is no

>> disastrous flooding in norway. you can see, a house there just being swept away by the raging waters. meteorologists are calling it a 200 year flood. it forced residents to flee, and washed out major roadway with the western and southern part of norway. unfortunately the area could see even more heavy rain later on this week. and we know here in the u.s., port lan oregon saw the most rain ever yesterday. just a lot of areas hit with rain, but not us. >> not us at all, so often see extreme like that somewhere dealing with a total opposite elsewhere. and we're on to the better end that far, obviously, we expect to see full sunshine really the next couple of days, nice warm up to go with it. >> i can't believe this weekend's forecast, kate. >> i wait until you see the seven day. if you're a fan of mild air, now, dow feel for the folks at the ski resort, and anybody that obviously loves to ski. this is just really hard sees ton get going here.

if you like the mild air, this is not bad news, at all, let me get you outside, start things off by taking you first and for most here to what's happening, or what has happened, with our climate thus far in the month of december. well, okay. our obviously only seven days into the month so far. but, every single day so far has been at least 3 degrees above average, about 3 degrees doesn't sound like heck of a lot, but when you are talking averages, over 30, 31 day month averages turn into something substantial. so far, it has been awfully mile. now, remember we talked about the storm earlier in the show, storm rotating away. it is london at this point, not even too much of an issue, just lingering showers there, but clearing out nicely since then, and high pressure is our big story, granted some activity going on, as go into the central northern planes, especially then the packed northwest, but generally high pressure is our story from here, through the next few days.

and, a rare thing happening today. air quality alert is actually posted, for unhealthy particle pollutions, so children, elderly, suffer from respiratory illness, all of the counties affected by that, new jersey not included but take it easy out, there again, only for sensitive groups, but, you can actually see a little haze out there, i'm going to show you our neighborhood network cameras, pretty visible, in a second. forty-seven the current temperature, almost magic number here down through the pinelands, ac, philly, and down through dover, as well. we expect again tack few additional degrees onto that hi, further south you go, nice and mild right now. low 60s generally from st. louis down to birmingham, eastward toward charleston, some of the warmth headed our way, do you see this? haze settle over philadelphia, watching that pollution, again, maybe little bothersome if you fall into that sensitive group. otherwise, getting down in new
