record. not bad. >> katie, with that news alone it, would be hard to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. let me tell you. it is going to be so beautiful today, and all weekend, let's just save or every moment of it. here's a look at 95 southbound at girard, looking good. as you can see, now, right early in the 6:00 hour, just a steady stream of headlight, a lot of people hitting the roadways early this morning, can't say that i blame you. i would too. i'm here. look we're getting in, getting out, enjoying the weather. boulevard looking good. moving in the southbound direction toward the schuylkill. once on the schuylkill moving in the westbound direction, right around city avenue, also heating up there, as well. westbound, and eastbound, on the schuylkill, mind you. vine, all open now from the overnight construction, eastbound and westbound, looking good. just starting to heat up little bit. you can see some brake lights going on on the vine, accident in pennsburg, there are report of entrapment here. this is john fries highway, north gate boulevard, one lane block here. certainly use caution. you will see some slow downs in and around that area. and also, some bridge damage.

valley forge park is closed between route 252, and wilson road. use alternate, such as 202, another point of construction, as well, pa turnpike east and westbound between ben cell many and delaware valley closed, so use the alternate of street road. all right, nicole, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. a busy night shift for philadelphia police after gunfire in two neighborhoods. the shootings put five people in the hospital. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now at police headquarters with the information on both of those incidents. good morning. >> reporter: erika, nicole, good morning. we have one case up in lawncrest, two male victims, both 19 years old, and both in stable condition this morning. one found shot on the 5900 block of palmetto. we are told he's not being cooperative. the second victim, found shot in the leg, on the 500 block of sanger. now there is happened between 11:00 and midnight. about that same time another shting, this one in fairhill and there we are told three victims were down. >> just after 11:30 thursday

night, police on patrol heard several shots fired. >> we know at least 15 shots were fired from two separate caliber semiautomatic handguns. so we know two guns were fired. >> on the 100 block of east summerset, police found two men, and one woman, gunned down. >> we don't know the relationship between the two, three shooting victims, however, all three victims were in close proximity to one another when police found them laying on the highway. >> a male in his 20's, was hit twice, in his lower back, a woman in her 20's was hit in the leg. anarchs man in his 30's was struck in the thigh. police rushed all three to temple hospital, and back on scene an investigation launched to track down the triggerman. >> based on initial information, we're told that the shooters were two males wearing masks and dark clothing and they fled on foot in a unknown direction. >> but perhaps not far, police pick up one more clue about those suspected shooters. >> they possibly entered a vehicle, now, police stopped a

vehicle, that was leaving the scene of this location, about one block away, and the operator, a female, of that vehicle, was acting suspicious. >> this morning, we now know that female driver is being questioned about those two victims in their 20's, that man and woman there in stable condition, that man in his 30's, he's in critical condition. he lost a lot of blood. was taken straight into surgery this morning, police looking for at least two men, suspect, seen wear dark clothing and also wearing masks. we do know police were also talking to possible witnesses, and looking for surveillance video. and we are live here from police headquarters, justin finch, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", nicole, erika? >> justin, thanks for the update. also, new this morning, pursuit by cherry hill police ends with a crash in pennsauken. that crash happened at route 38 and mansion road just before 11:00 last night. it involved two vehicles. two people were taken to hospitals, with unknown injuries. and it is not clear what triggered that chase.

>> also, new this morning, a medical helicopter crashed in central california killing all four people on board. officials say the helicopter crashed a mid heavy rain and fog. the skylites air ambulance had pilot, a nurse, paramedic and patient on board when it went down. it is unclear if the fourth person was perhaps a patient or somebody else. officials aren't saying that the weather caused the crash, how much, the officials are saying it is always a factor. >> the issue of national security dominating the republican race for president. while donald trump defends his proposed ban on muslims entering our country, two rivals are fighting to become an alternative to gop voters who don't agree with trump's proposal. don champion with the latest. >> while excepting an endorsement from a police and corrections officers in new hampshire thursday night, donald trump continues selling this proposed ban on muslims coming into the country. >> we've got to get down to the problems. we can't worry about being

weeks before christmas is a little fog? talking 60s for the week end. >> we, are in fact, day that will even flirt innocently, with 70. hello. >> yes, exactly. little how do. yes, but you know, that one side, you mention the fog, one thing we do have to discuss this morning, showing you here, beautiful picture that came n we can go full screen with it, picture that came into the eyewitness cam from eugene, took this from the south street bridge yesterday morning, look how crisp and crystal clear it is. gorgeous, gorgeous shot. this is a live picture, however, outside our live neighborhood ned work where you have little more low-lying cloud cover, a lot already difficult to see the center city skyline off in the distance, there so watch out for the fog do, have dense fog advisory we'll discussment storm scan at least empty devoid of any rainfall. but look at where you have got the advisory. that's where you may run into patches. that's the key, patches, of locally dense fog, so visibility could be dropping as low as a quarter mile or less in some of the counties shat dollars in the gray, primarily south and east most new jersey, finding poor

others worry about what the punishment will be when holtz hads claw is formally sentence in the january. >> sure they'll try to run it together so he won't see nothing, but that's not fair us to, that's not fair to my daughter. not fair to any of the victims on the people of our community. >> homes hads claw fired from the police department last year when the allegations surfaced, one woman coming forward to accuse him of sexual impropriety during a traffic stop. the charges snowballed from there. and he was eventually accused of assaulting or raping 13 women while he was on the job. holt hads claw and members of his family have maintained that he was not guilty of those crimes. now he could spends the rest of his life in prison. andrew spencer, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". police have a warning for home owners in new castle county. the holiday grinches, they're out. surveillance cameras caught a group of suspect stealing a package from a home in castle hills. police say the suspect followed an ups truck through the neighborhood on tuesday.

when that package was dropped off, when suspects simply stepped up to the front porch, swiped it up, and then walk away like it was his own. >> these people work hard for their present, for their grandkids, their families, then you got these idiot just riding around. >> really just want a citizen of new castle county to be aware. >> so far, only one victim has come forward. but police are concerned that other victims may be out there, but simply believe their package hasn't arrived yet. >> well, caught on camera, a seriously lazy thief. watch as he uses hover board to steel entire case of energy drinks. you would think that would be more difficult. but surveillance video shows the man rolling into london convenience store, grabbing his beverage every choice, rolling right out. after the incident british authorities banned the use of hover boards on public roads and sidewalks. well, one more place you can't have that hover board, an airplane. three major airlines, american, delta, and united, are banning whoever err boards because of a potential fire hazard. the airlines say there are safety concerns related to the

devices lithium ion batteries. federal rules limit the types of batteries allowed on planes, because of the risk of combustion. the change has already affected on united and dealt a american will start that policy tomorrow. well, the bald eagle has landed. only "eyewitness news" was there, as wildlife officials rescued an injured bird. >> yes, the home own nerve pittstown, new jersey spotted that eagle with a broken leg in her backyard on shy creek road. it had been there since monday. wildlife experts set up a trap, then tried to capture the eagle. as you see here yesterday afternoon it got spooked and flew away. the good news, though, minute later it made unexpected return, and that's when the eagle was rescued. >> hurry up. hurry up. >> oh, my god, you got him. that's incredible. >> it was getting weak. so it ended up on the gown, it didn't have a clearest cape route. so we just lucked out. >> that bald eagle now being treated at a clinic and

christmas tree. check it out. >> we drove up from philadelphia, to kennett square to drink in one of the largest christmas displays around. we are on baltimore pike in chester county, pulling up to longwood gardens. and if there is any time of year you want to visit the gardens, it is this time. this only being about 30 minutes away, you know, it is a great time to come during the day or come at night to see the light. >> for years this has been where families finds holiday spirit. >> and here is the centerpiece, display that people wait all year long to see, a beautiful 4-acre garden under glass. there are 16,000 seasonal plants inside, decorated in a new theme every year. this year's theme, fountains. the passion of longwood found earth, pierre dupont. and many were built brand new this year. >> what you are looking at now our exhibition hall. >> display designer jim south on and his team create holiday

downs right now per say but with the flashing lights anibal of the volume levels that are starting to get out on the roadways now, make sure you know it is there, flashing lights will slow some of you down, also another area where you are really getting slowed down right now 95 southbound at cottman just moments ago we look at the betsy ross bridge, very busy on 95 around there, and also, that cottman coming around the s curve, trying to make your way into center city very busy there, as well. also, accident in pennsburg, just reported this about 20 minutes ago, it is still there, reports of entrapment, john fries highway and north gate boulevard, one lane still block there. and because of this serious accident, you certainly want to use caution, in and around that area. and another accident, norristown west german town pike, at bridal path road. the good news about this accident right here is nothing is blocked, it is all pulled out of your way but still going to get the gaper delays just what happened. when we go to the wide, look at all of the time censors right now, really your major interstates and highways starting to creep up. the good news is this friday tends to be one of the lesser volume congested days.
