nicole brewer. 6:00 right now. talking to justin more about this warm up. and i have to circumstances i mean, felt real nice outside. but there are few complaints here and there about it not being seasonable. >> you know, it is christmas time. people want to get in the holiday spirit. i totally understanded. that will yep, we have to deal with temperatures, typical for september, highs in the 70s, we'll be crushing records today easy. record high 65 degrees, no problem reaching, i think, 07 degrees in a lot of locations, so break out the shorts this afternoon, that will be the trend, really for the next few days, high temperatures stay above average. so few lick like, that you will like forecast. yesterday you were hopefully outside enjoying mild temperatures. check it out, we broke records in atlantic city, philadelphia, trenton, the highs saturday. upper 60s, 70s, today with the warm air mass in place, with enough sunshine i think it is easy we break into the lower 70s, just smashing the record high of 65 degrees. fifty-four right now at the airport. little cool in some spots. allentown, reading, coming upper 40's, watch out for

the head but there was no balance balistic evidence or weapons at the scene. so far no arrest haves been made. >> alleged undocumented immigrant is accused of sexually abuse ago child in woodbury gloucester county. police arrested juan cam post moralez, he assaulted the victim on several occasions, native of guatemala. they believe he is living in the united state illegally. >> divers spent the day searching a lake in san bernardino, california. fourteen people were killed in a terror attack, not far from that lake. investigators are trying to determine if the shooters dumped some evidence there. cbs news correspondent john black stone has more from san bernardino. >> for the third day, dive teams from the fbi and local police scoured the bottom of muddy lake where it is believed the shooters may have thrown away a computer hard drive. as the search for evidence goes on here, so does the sorrow. hundreds gathered for the funeral of one of the 14

killed. >> that's what she was all about, love, and family. she was the most selfless caring person with a heart bigger than the sun. >> nearly 2,000 miles away in georgia, another victim, shannon johnson, was remembered as a hero. shield ago co-worker as he lay mortally wounded. >> shannon johnson, larry kauffman. >> names of all 14 of those killed have been added to wall of remember renz to those who have died in the war on terror. in california, arson fire at a mosque is being investigated as a hate crime. twenty-three year old carl james dial was arrested hours after a firebomb was thrown into the lobby of the mosque where raymond de newer. >> concern for our own safety and safety of our families, children, when these type of things happen, usually one of the major culprits is ignorance. >> here in san bernardino, four dive teams spent most of saturday in the water, we've seen the divers bring up several items, but so far the fbi has made no comment on

what's been found here. john black stone, cbs news, san bernardino. >> everyone headed to the link for yesterday's army navy football game faced increase security in the wake of the recent terror attacks, in san bernadino and paris, several military choppers buts dollars over the stadium on the grounds philadelphia police officers on horseback kept close eye on tailgaters and those attending the pre-game show. fortunately, no major incidents were reported. >> well, the final college football game of the 2015 season. it was a classic, the army black nights taking on the navy midshipmen for the 116th time. army hoping to break navy's 13 game winning streak of course. army had a three-point lead into the third quarter actually, that's when navy's keenan reynolds hill tillman over the middle and he takes it 50 yards for a touchdown. midshipmen won their 14th straight over army 21 to 17 the final. >> you know, we get to go to the white house this year, get a trophy back, i mean, that was the number one goal for

us, you know, not going to the conference championship it, hurts, but this was the one we wanted, we had to get, we new losing this one would hurt a whole lot more. >> the army navy game is a chance for alumni officers, soldiers, fans, to reunite every single year. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan was in the middle of all of the action at the linc. >> go army. go nay. >> i outside lincoln financial field, best friends took on the role of bitter rivals, for the 116th army navy game. >> we hate each other for three hours. but as soon as that game ends, we're all one team. >> one team that got a special tailgate, wounded combat veteran, the travis manion foundation. >> a while since the army hats been over navy little bit. but i think today may be the day. >> fendly competition, of course this year good football, navy has been showing us good stuff begin side the cadets and midshipmen had their respective corners of the end zone rocking.

while navy came in with 13-game win streak, and heavy favorite, it was army with the half time lead. making the admiral david robinson a little nervous for his glowing goal. >> army navy spirit. these guys, you put us together, i don't care what the records are, there will be stiff competition, so army doing phenominal job. we have to pick it up this half. >> in the end army turnovers help make it another navy victory. after the celebration, came preparation, as the grounds crew feverishly worked to transform the field for sunday's 1:00 p.m. eagles game. this is about as fast a turn around as they do. >> we have had a couple of tight ones, but this will be pretty tight. we've had a couple this year. so we do have some practice, the weather being six an is always helping. >> after that thrilling game the navy midshipmen move on to the military bowl on december 28th. the army black nights are done for the year, at the linc, cleve bryan, cbs-3, "eyewitness news".

$20 million in oregon and washington state. along the coast, flooding and landslides have forced us coast guards to close all ports along a 500-mile stretch because of debris in the water. on mount hood, skiers are riding on 36-inches of fresh powder, last year, some mountain areas had less than 5 inches. moving south in northern california 25-foot waves nearly swallowed this pier. north of los angeles, portion of the ventura pier fell into the ocean. back in sherwood, oregon, phil has been pacing and watching, the water has advanced 300 yards, it is now 150 from their front door. >> once it breaches this bern right here this whole area right here will flood very, very quickly because it is flat as a pancake. >> sat die night they parked a tractor in front of their home ready to go in case the water forces them to evacuate. david begnaud, cbs news, sherwood, oregon.

>> back here at home, really different story. >> cranking up the heat. >> yesterday close to 72, flight. >> we hit 69. that was record. record high for today, 65. so we'll crush that. >> wow. >> seventy-two potentially. >> less than two weeks until christmas, my husband was complaining yesterday. >> yes? >> i need it to be a little colder, it is christmas. >> it will get little cooler by the end of the week, toward christmas, but still no signs of true arctic glare if feels niles, don't get me wrong. >> that's el nino, what we expect at least for the first half of the winter, milder temperatures overall. check outside now, not too many areas of fog, but there are some patchy fog developing in some spots, visibilities could drop early this morning, before sunrise, live look at the ben franklin bridge, looking pretty good around center city. so once again today, here's our headlines, talk about record warmth, and then dry conditions for now. but we will bring back rain tomorrow. overall this week, our temperatures stay pretty much on the mild side. by next weekends we cool it down little bit. so record highs today six a

setback in 1923, forecasted 72, no problems beating that. even tomorrow, we will get close to records temperatures, record is 69 degrees, still, upper 60s in the forecast, but little more clouds, and some rain, so, perhaps three days in a row getting close to record temperatures. forty-nine in millville at this hour, 55 in the capitol city of delaware, we're low 50's around philadelphia and the suburbs of new jersey, 53, voorhees, 55 now in aston, 54 chalfont. little cooler lehigh vale. watch out for fog, especially areas of berks county, 49 in reading, pottstown coming in also at 49 degrees. so why is it so warm? well, this is casino of a classic summer pattern, that you would see, high pressure off the mid-atlantic coast, back side a hi, high wind blow around clockwise around high pressure systems, so you get the southwest winds flow, that's mild air in place for the next couple every days. storm scan3, one storm system out across the midwest, that's cold front that will get to the region later tomorrow, until then, we're dry. yes, we will have some clouds rolling on in. temperatures will be very warm

today, with the warm air in place. so here's the set up over the next 24-48 hours. cool front moves pretty slowly, no threat of rain today, even at least the first half of the day monday i think stays dry. we'll have maybe some sunshine in the morning, then the clouds will build up into the afternoon, get some showers in here looks like late afternoon into the evening hours, maybe few heavier showers develop, cool front swings through for tuesday. still not whole lot of cold air behind the system. rain chances, today, zero. we give it 100% tomorrow. at some point you will get some showers in here specially late in the day. tuesday, wednesday are dry. thursday another system comes in, few showers, 50% chance of some rain, and then that system bridges in some cooler air for the ends of the week. today there you go, mixture every sunday shine, clouds, tonight once again could see some fog developing, dry start to your monday, and again, it will be mild, temperatures in the 50's, and then we see some of the showers building in here, for late afternoon, so tomorrow's evening commute could be impacted with some wet weather. and off and on showers through the night. look at the high temperatures today. >> upper 60s into the low 70s,

this forecast model i think is little cooler, so i think widespread low 70s are possible, tonight, 8:00 look at the temperatures, still mild. up ear's to around 60 degrees. and even monday we're still warm for this time of year. most locations will be in the 60s even with some clouds and some showers. so, record warmth today. seventy-two for the city, little cooler in the suburbs, light winds again five to ten, tonight, partly cloudy, patchy fog, 54 for the city, a little cooler in some suburbs. check out the extended forecast, still no real signs of cold air. we get the rain in here, second half of monday, 67 degrees for the high, back to sunshine on tuesday, it is cooler but high still of 60. we'll keep it in the 50's through thursday, watch out for more showers, he finally friday through the weekends talking mid 40's, nicole. that's not even cold. that's average. but will feel cold. >> it will feel like a shock to the system by then, justin, thanks. great tailgating weather. speaking of tailgating today's eagles game is lead to go lots of road closures, potential traffic jams to watch out for.

the front run is her down in iowa, while another candidate is nipping at his heals. today is sunday, december 13th, good morning, thanks so much for being here, i'm nicole brewer. justin drabick out on cbs-3 skydeck. feeling pretty good out, there right, justin, even at this hour? >> it is feeling good. not feeling like the holidays, but, you know, actually looking like christmas behind me. we have the christmas lights out here. these are the classic bulbs, the one you see on the christmas story on the tree. waking up to 50's, i hear the birds chirping, almost like spring morning, temperatures typical for september this afternoon, with highs getting into the low 70s, check it out right now. fifty-four, not bad at the airport, 50 wilmington, cool spots, but for early to mid december, upper 40's, that's not bad for allentown, readingment look at mount pocono, 55 degrees, that's the bad news right there. ski resorts can't even blow snow during the overnight. it is just too warm, and still a loft moisture in the air. just need cold dry air mass to manufacture man-made snow. palmyra at this hour,

station "kyw news radio" 1060 is live at the linc this morning, and cherry, it does not feel like mid december, that's for sure. but, hey, football in december. >> good morning. >> yes, nicole, good morning. yes, it does not feel like december, as matter of fact, little warm, with this sweater and jacket that i have on. but it is the perfect day for football. and later today, the philadelphia eagles will take on buffalo, but the big talker of course is the battle between coach chip kelly and lesean mccoy, who is returning to the linked to with a chip on his shoulder. lesean mccoy is the eagles all-time leading rusher, but that didn't stop coach chip kelly from trading shady to the bills in march for linebacker kiko alonso there is week, kelly said again, the trade wasn't personal. it was all about the money. he told reporters, he regretted how it went down. >> how he was traded wasn't handled right. and i said that before. did i not get an opportunity

turning to campaign 2016, new pole in the battlegrounds state of iowa could spell trouble for republican frontrunner donald trump. ted cruz has surged pass trump in the hawk eye state with 31% of likely republican caucus go nerves iowa. saying they vote for the texas senator. as cbs news correspondent giuliana goldman reports, things are heating up between trump and cruz. >> i love you too. hours before it shows him, he was in south carolina taking on epa, gun control, and proposal to bar muslims present erring the us. >> we don't want people coming in and knocking down worlds trade centers and having what happened last week in california. he took aim at ted cruz in iowa, where some polls show the texas senator in first place, and where religious conservatives dominate the republican caucuses.

>> i do like ted cruz, but not a lot of evangelicals come out of cuba in all fairness. >> but saturday's pole shows iowa evangelicals overwhelmingly backing cruz. the two have played nice throughout the campaign. but not so nice in these off camera remarks by cruz came out this week. >> people are looking for who is prepared to be a commander in chief. who under stands the threats we face? >> the new york times obtained audio of cruz at private fundraiser, saying, he was the electable conservative who could take on the establishment, not trump or ben carson. >> i believe that gravity will bring both of those campaigns down, i think the lion share of their supporters come to us. >> today, trump acknowledged the gloves are coming off. >> we've had a very good relationship. but i'm sure it will end, because, you know, he's got to come after me at some point. >> still, wary of allienating trump supporters, cruz held his fire, tweeting: sorry to disappoint. donald trump is terrific, hashtag deal with it. >> tonight's bloomberg pole
