good morning, school buses are ready to go and class is back in session in los angeles after a threat shut down the entire school district yesterday. but for a a lot of people they are questioning why the schools were enclosed and one teacher in particular is really taking some heat on line, for her response to classes being canceled. we will tell what you she did. you know it had to end a at some point. we are looking live, we have a christmas tree outside after four straight days of record warmth, the streak ends today. today will be a shock to the system. >> i know with the red ways, they love it. when mother nature goodies to us. we are looking good. the nice and dry. >> that is the running theme for rest of the the day, very quiet start to the forecast here. we have high pressure in place. that means sunshine, today. really calm, collected out there. but we are going to see things change here with time and that is very visible on storm scan when you move it out. now at the local level no problems whatsoever, we have a

schools in los angeles june forward school district tomorrow morning. >> we are closing all district campus test day due to a threat that has come. >> calls like this one went out to parents in los angeles on tuesday morning, the superintendent, closed down the entire district over a threatening e-mail sent to school board members monday night. police say it targeted all schools, in the system. >> the a applied threat was explosive devices, the the spec threat was a attack with the assault rifles and machine pistols. >> reporter: new york authorities say they received the same e-mail but called it a hoax. los angeles officials did say that the superintendent's decision to close schools and say they took precaution based honoraries enter or attack in san bernardino and overseas. >> our first job is to ensure people are safe in the city. >> reporter: superintendent ordered authorities to inspect every school by the end of the day. >> 2700 law enforcement officers searched and cleared more than 1500 locations. chris martinez for cbs news,
