baltimore, maryland with the very latest on that, don, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, nicole. even before the judge declared a mistrial yesterday jurors had already once told him they were dead locked hours after the decision instead of the rioting there were prayers and calls for unity on baltimore streets. the streets of the baltimore were quie overnight as dozens of demonstrators held hand and lock arms calling for unity and peace. >> i love this place. very proud people you know what i mean. that is what we want to show you. by them i mean all of us. >> reporter: earlier, tensions bowled over, moments after a judge declared a mistrial in the case of officer william porter. >> we want our voices heard, we have to speak through action. >> reporter: porter had faced manslaughter and other charges for failing to get medical help for freddie gray who died in april after suffering a severe spinal cord injury while in police custody.

after three days of deliberations the jury emerged dead locked on all counts. >> we have been confident that there will be another trial with a different jury, we have calm. you should be calm too. >> reporter: attorneys on both side, are expect to return to court today to set a new trial day for officer porter as city officials press for peace. >> spread love and not hugs. >> reporter: mistrial is viewed as a setback for the the prosecution who had planned to use porter a's testimony in the case, against the five other officers. now two protesters were arrested outside the courthouse after the mistrial yesterday, they were charged with disorderly conduct and initially it was thought that the judge was going to be meeting with attorneys on both side of the case, and in open court this morning but we are told that meeting will be done in private in the judge's chamber.

welcome back. national zoo is showing off its new baby and a meet bebe, the giant panda cub, how sweet is he? he was born at the national zoo in august. the his twin brother unfortunately did not survive. new four months old zoo officials say the cub is hitting every developmental milestone. wednesday's special appearance was just for the media. bebe will make his public debut in january. well, philadelphia zoo held a big birth the day bash for the oldest polar bear in the united states, coldy locks the polar bear celebrated her 35th birthday.

so not too cold of the day but a soggy day and future weather will reup force that. as we head into 9:00 o'clock hour showers becoming much more uniform, widespread and heavy at times in the 11:00 he clock hour continuing in the afternoon, notice heavier pockets of the rain north and west, down the the shore seeing heavy pockets of the rape. in the 5:00 o'clock hour we will see lingering shower activity, it could be soggy and we will likely have some ponding on the roadways as we take to the roads for our evening commute. so keep that in mind, it is slick, that rain will be coming to an end during the commute, especially second half of the commute. tomorrow on the back side much chillier, 49, breezy conditions and check out the weekend, 40 degrees on saturday waking up to 31, cold and blustery, those wind chills will be brutal on saturday, even on sunday, meisha, 46 degrees, dry conditions but we will need that winter coat, burr. >> weird to think about that,

after what almost 70's just a handful of days ago. just crazy. good morning. if you are just waking up grabbing your first cup of coffee things are looking nice. the now that we have most of the accidents under control or contained we have had a car fire that will be contain as well. what you're looking at is the boulevard, headlights moving in the south bun direction approaching the the schuylkill and looking good. as we push toward the 6:00 this is what you want to see on a thursday, busy thursday, roadways are nice and dry. this is where we have that car fire pull off to the shoulder, those flashing lights are the car and the crews, they are still trying to get this remedied. the flames have been complete thely put out for a little bit but they are block ago this shoulder. if you were blocking within far right lane as well you were push over to the other two. lanes are looking good right new in and around that area, and 95 airport, and 95, in the southbound direction, you know this, that extra right at cottman that we watch in the
