boro fire company are facing charges tonight, they are accused of stealing $50,000 from the fire company. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live in media with more, david. >> reporter: jessica, this is an intense investigation that began a year ago. right now colwyn boro chief is behind bars and mother/daughter duo just turned themselves in the last hour. colwyn fire chief gary price didn't have much to say leaving the delaware county courthouse. he is under arrest and accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the boro. >> we do believe we have sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt each and every element of the charges that we have lodged today. >> reporter: delaware county district attorney jack whalen held a news conference monday and sent fire station president, elizabeth and her daughter, lauren, a fire station treasurer are also to blame. >> they are volunteers but it is not a license to steel being a volunteer. >> reporter: according to whalen's office the trio wrote themselves checks and made

cash withdraws with boro fund. according to authorities, former boro manager, paula brown who left earlier this year alerted them to the miss management by the fire members. we caught up with former colwyn council member, jesse. >> i think it was i good first step but first step, there is a lot of stuff going on here. this is tip of the iceberg. >> reporter: state auditor general's office got involved and released findings of the three-year audit. according to the office, $90,000 was mismanaged. and d.a. whalen it says is there much more to the investigation here, in delaware county. meanwhile chief bryce is behind bars on a $50,000 bail. he will have have a court appearance next week. the reporting live from delaware county tonight in media, david spunt, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". thank you. developing now a center city hotel becomes a crime scene after a man is found dead in his room. "eyewitness news" reporter, greg argos at roadway inn outside walnut street with the

developing details, greg. >> reporter: jessica, right now thinks an active investigation here at the road wood in near walnut and 12th street have after a man was found dead inside one of the rooms inside the hotel. initial call came in around noon. sources say the victim, a seven five-year old man, was found face up with the belt tied around his neck. at first police believe this was a position of auto erotic as fixation where a person strangled himself, as a sex act but later police determined this to be a homicide. that is why crime scene detectives arrived here around 3:00 this afternoon. an official motive for the the crime has not yet been released but those sources tell cbs-3 that "eyewitness news" it appears this was as a result of the robbery. the a a as for the vick trim officials have not yet given us a name, but sources say it was a prominent psychiatrist who had an office here in this area. he stayed here at the same rode way inn at least one other time this past summer.

as soon as we have more information coming from police about this crime we will of course pass it along to you but for now we are live in center city, i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thanks, greg. fill will a a police continue its investigation in the fiery crash that killed three women in northeast philadelphia yesterday. twenty-five year-old amonie barton and 22-year old giovanni scavo and third woman died early sunday morning when their car slammed in the back of the park tractor trailer near holmesberg train bridge on torresdale avenue. authorities say that the trailer was parked legally but one local law maker says it is still prompts questions. >> i think we have to look at regulations on where we park, any kind of these tractor trailers, and then not knowing what is inside of them or what possibly could be inside them presents a big danger to the the community and first responders. >> the car smashed into a parked trailer filled with an herbicide. a family will soon say good bye to their business in

south jersey, after more than a century. the animal feed store kirby's feed in medford will close december 31st after being forced in to bankruptcy. "eyewitness news", new jersey reporter, cleve bryan, reports. >> reporter: long before chad kirby could operate a forklift or grow whiskers he has been helping out at the family business. in fact he is the sixth generation to run the kirby brothers animal feed store in medford and unfor the the nately the last. >> it is like a second house, second home. so i don't know what it will be like when it is not there. >> reporter: for 140 years the kirby family has been producing and selling animal feed, brothers charles and william kirby started the business as a mill in 1875. walter sessions and fire could not shut them down slow decline of farming in the area means not enough customers. >> most of the farms grow housing developments.
