the weather. we both have, warmth, exceptional warmth as well as wet weather to track for you out there. at the moment we are not finding a ton of wet weather, but we can see that moisture beginning to build right up i-95. we will put things into motion. see progression in the last few hours. if you have a few you rain drops out there it is primarily just very light, fine, rain or mist. but there is obviously some heavier rain working its way in just south right now of washington d.c. and that is all courtesy of the leading edge of the much larger system. we have been discussing severe weather down to the deep south mid mississippi valley, and ended up with very heavy hitting and strong thunderstorms that left behind tornado reports but we don't necessarily spector made owe activity but rather a heavy gusty strong thunderstorms is possible for us as we watch this frontal boundary make its passage. so for now, it has such warm air in place we are flirting

with 70 at philly international in trenton, dover is at 69. sixty-eight in ac. even mount pocono is at 60 degrees. it is so warm right now that warmth will help get things going in the atmosphere. if we see any sunshine at all that will help it more so. regardless is there a strong clash in the air mass and when this front crosses through there could be a stronger thunderstorm witt. we are at the a record. we have done that part. we do expect to top off at 74, that will just smash last years record. we set it a year ago, and, and, down the shore up in the mountainous terrain as well and anybody can expect to see a shower or a heavy thunderstorm, at some point today. >> good to know good checking traffic, we have an overturned vehicle on the schuylkill eastbound past montgomery drive blocking right lane as you can see, crews on the scene and working to get this cleaned up we will let you know as soup as that happens. a live look at i-95 southbound at girard avenue where we have a disable vehicle moved to the shoulder

fire erupted on addison street shortly before 3:30. all resident made it out safely. causes under investigation. police are investigating a deadly shooting in east mt. airy, investigators say man in his 30's was shot in the stomach sitting inside his car this happened in the 400 block of vernon road around 11:00 last night. man then drove two blocks and crashed in two parked vehicles. he was rush to the hospital where he died from his injuries. police are investigating a deadly shooting in abington, montgomery county. sources tell "eyewitness news" an argument got out of control when a man pulled out a gun a and shot and killed seven three-year old richard duncan on his front porch. this happened on the 1700 block of prospect avenue. investigators say that gunman was later cornered where he pulled out a gun and shot himself. >> the the only thing i thought he would commit suicide, but he had gunshots, but that wasn't it.

degrees to the daytime high but when we get 74 that didn't just break the railroaded that shatters it. tomorrow will be closer gap but we will have another record breaking day on our hand for christmas, itself. now, with that said we have to turn to some wet weather issues as well. we are tracking a cold front bringing in light rain basically across new castle county across delaware bay in salem county a as well. this is leading edge of the cold front that will eventually we think bring a strong thunderstorm to the area. we will sit on the edge of a very small risk for severe weather. i don't want to you get too concern. marginal is at lowest risk on the totem pole but you could end up with thunderstorms but that could produce gusty wind or heavy downpours. that is something you have to keep in mind. we will keep a close watch on that radar for you and update you as necessary. current wind speed, definitely breezy, we have 20 miles an hour sustained wind after after all in dover but more than anything i want to you

look at direction of those arrows. the it is all from the south and that is why it is so warm outside, that southerly component to the wind fall helping to shove warm air our way and we expect to top off at 74 degrees today. limited sunshine, even if you see a few peaks don't get too used to it today, we will have have it again a shower and thunderstorm that could be locally strong to dodge as the day goes on. nicole, back to you. checking traffic right now this is schuylkill expressway past montgomery drive where we had an earlier overturn vehicle blocking right lane that has been since cleared out. nothing to worry about here. a live look at the vine street expressway, after the schuylkill expressway here, we have two separate accidents involving a total of four vehicles so you will be reduced to one lane with crews on their way to that scene. we have police presence there that earlier accident in pipersville bucks county has just cleared so that is good news here. no major delays in and around this area.

weather watchers if we have a sampling over i-95 corridor we will go throughout lying suburbs and start off even though it is not a suburb it is further are north and removed from the bulk of onvations. the we are reporting 67 degrees, just cloud right now and definitely very warm where she's located. this is one of the coolest spots on the bunch, most remote terrain. rick is reporting 59 degrees. that is above the average. a at this point he has nothing more than clouds. he is referencing, a lovely oh, christmas tree with oh, christmas eve, christmas eve how lovely is the weather. i'm finding a lot of people digging this forecast. six was temperature sent in from jason in middletown, delaware. i wanted to point his out because he is reporting some rain and that is a a sign of things to come for the rest of us as day goes on. when we have messy weather moving in as he remind us accounts make sure you you slow down as you travel. despite the snowy scene here this is our forecast.

we will not see anything in the way of snowy scene at all come christmas day. forecast ted high is 69 degrees and that should break the record for us, record to beat is 68 from 1964. but i do have to turn our attention and focus here to weather. we have been tracking severe weather for last 24 hours from this frontal boundary. you can still see very nasty thunderstorms in a line down through the deep south. we too could see a locally strong gusty or thunderstorm but look at the storm damage left in its wake. we have dozens of storm reports that came in with this and zero in on a couple of choice ones with the tornadic activity overral bam, mississippi, several confirmed deaths with this nasty weather, out in springfield, tornado debris signature was, confirmed, that happened overnight, no less, and people were sleeping when they came in. within last evening, further off to the west, near memphis, rather, a house was severely

damaged. unfortunately as we are coming up on the holiday we are still dealing with these very spring or fall severe weather like patterns here and we too could end up with a locally strong or gusty thunderstorm before it crosses. still in the 70es a. that is bright spot of this outlook, we will keep these temperatures, upper 60's, tomorrow but notice, another front lifting in, that will likely bring us some showers or steady rain by saturday night, or i should say friday night and then damp on saturday, cooler because of the blanket and cloud cover we will rebound backup to 70 before another front crosses. the it is like every single day brings us a different front of some kind but there is no real cold arctic or polar air that is coming in. so every day of the seven day, including coldest day of the bunch is above average. forty-nine. that is six above average here but a along the way despite that record breaking warmth we will have to track potential for some wet weather and, of course with the big eagles game on saturday we may be
