served families. last night it was all about providing a special christmas to local kids. >> a lot of children in this community that woke up this morning, didn't have a christmas tree, didn't have toys underneath the tree but tonight they can come to a place called chosen 300 and be able to sit down, have an outstanding turkey meal but also be give back so we can put smiles on their face that they really deserve. >> that is good stuff right there. >> each year chosen 300 ministries distributes more than 150,000 meals, to the homeless of the philadelphia in pottstown. well, little boy brought spirit of the santa to the homeless in love park this christmas. the as "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff shows us he and his family written expired by a man they barely even know. >> reporter: christmas morning feels very different for a person waking up on concrete. >> a couple young teenagers, there is a a lot of people we help. >> i'm just trying to hang in there. >> reporter: julie wallace has not received a christmas present from anyone since her

put together snacks and sandwiches for anyone who stopped by. donations are pouring in the red cross for families in tornado ravaged mississippi. the the christmas spirit was full display at holy springs. it was packed with boxes of clothing, shoes, toys, all for families who lost everything in the violent storms. the the the red cross says the response was so great the they had to turn some donation as way. the out break of tornadoes earlier this week killed at least 14 people. as mark straussman reports, survivors cleaned up the wreckage and gave thanks just to be alive. >> it is so what had. it is bad. >> reporter: sonya williams came home to no signs of christmas joy. >> this this is where i used to live and it is gone. >> reporter: wilkins home ace monk hundreds destroyed by the includes to ter of deadly tornadoes. the the youngest victim, seven year-old nick race palmroy was trapped in a car with his mother and sister. the the wind ripped him out of the vehicle.

are complaining today about deliveries that didn't arrive in time for christmas. the last minute ship. and severe weather in some parts of the country delayed some packages but some fedex employees went above and beyond to make sure that some gifts arrived on time. cbs news correspondent demarco morgan reports. >> reporter: employees for shipping giant fedex found themselves in overtime playing santa in the air and by ground, joann baron is a grateful customer. >> e lacing. i asked my husband to go running back to the apartment to go get the the package. >> reporter: fedex predicted a record breaking who will will day season for pick ups and drop offs, 317 million shipments between black friday and christmas eve a 12 percent jump from last year. but they didn't predict mother nature's unexpect delivery of the more than a dozen deadly tornadoes across the the south including tennessee where the company is headquarters. with airports shut down and

mcdonald's is experimenting with a limited roll out of macaroni and cheese. yes. popular comfort food popped up this summer on many of the 18 cleveland, ohio restaurants. mcdonald's spokesperson says that they are always looking for new ways to offer relevant taste toss customers. mack and cheese entree is sold as part of the happy meals for kid and as a separate item but only through february but then mcdonald's will evaluate customer feedback. and starting in january mcdonald's is launching its mcpick two menu, this is what they call it. customers can choose two menu items for $2 that includes baked chicken zapped witch, double cheese burgers and mozerella a sticks. promotion comes as it tries to
