wrapped around a pole on his neighbor's property. outside of dallas was one of the hardest hit by aswarm of tornadoes. >> we ran inside the bathroom next thing we heard glass. >> reporter: a cable lightening strike illuminated the twister that started touching down six 30 saturday night. at least 11 people died including several who were in their cars when it crossed interstate 30. officials say the path of destruction stretches for 40 miles. and more than six hundred structures are damaged or destroyed. weather for castors say two tornadoes clocked speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. flattening entire streets. governor of texas says the situations still vol till across the northern part of the state. simultaneously experiencing ice and snow conditions. >> we need you to remain

vigilant. >> reporter: local officials in a town outside of dallas sent out four alerts in the minutes before the tornadoes hit warning people to take cover. >> fewer fatalities. >> reporter: at this early stage of the recovery authorities warn the number of victims may still rise. cbs3 eyewitness news. >> closer look now at that snow in north texas the blizzard is making driving conditions hazardous. shutting down many businesses. discouraging travel. which consist of 26 counts. a highway that runs through new mexico border is also closed until tomorrow morning. gentleman gentleman blizzard also slams parts of new mexico dumped close to two feet of snow in some areas. snow drifts are high as eight feet in some spot. they've shutdown roads all over the state. the governor declared state of emergency. that means national guard will be deployed to help drivers. counts will be able pho order

street. police say it all happened overnight. along its 67 hundred block of lead street. the boy was shot in the neck, back and upper right leg. taken to presbyterian hospital. police say the gunman is a black male wearing a black heeded sweatshirt. anyone were you information should contact philadelphia police right away. gentleman goo montgomery one person dead and another injured after a car collided with a tractor trailer overnight. paramedics responded at the scene shortly after two a.m.. a portion of what was stonn road will remain close while the post accident investigations completed. gentleman gentleman a new document links several athletes ryan howard and pay 10 manning to performance enhancing drugs. to air today. paints a picture of underground marketed place where athletes could obtain ped's including human growth hormones. howard's attorney called the report completely false and
