walt hunter is in media where hundreds are expected to show up, to get their hand off a piece of history, walt. >> well, jessica why would there be crowds at a closed restaurant? it is not for the meals? it is for the memories. this weekend, the at an auction like none other in the history of delaware county, right here at the town house restaurant we got a sneak peak at the the things that people who dine here for generations, hepp to be taking with them for memories. what would that be? >> it is actually the pedal car, a child's pedal car but in the form of the airplane. >> reporter: veterans auctioneer john turner told me he often asked himself what is that as he went room to room for an entire month, trying somehow you to catalogue and comprehend the the thousands of items that filled the the now closed, town house restaurant, in media. >> a lot of signs, a lot of pictures, a lot of, you know, lighting, signs, phones,

lamps, stop light, you know, bar opened, bar closed. >> spent too much time at the bar. >> yeah, time has expired. >> reporter: he and his wife started the town hawes in the town house in 1951, as big grew, surprise diners, decade after decade looked at their menus to see more a and more things. >> it took on a life of its own, that is for sure. >> reporter: yes, that is a a real donkey at the bar, but the the other pictures, hundreds of them, explain why this restaurant did more than just feed the stomachs of customers. it nourished their hearts. >> in high school, class of 67, media high, class of 41. >> reporter: they have always had room to hang another picture of a reunion, wedding, special moment, precious memories that make the town house a precious place. >> it is a living museum. well, not living anymore.

"eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan is in lindenwald with the look at the damage. >> terrible thing to wreck a house of god. >> reporter: lindenwald police are looking for a person who lashed out in the sanctuary of st. lawrence church on wednesday. he or she smashed half dozen stained glass windows with prayer candles, knocked down papal flag and easter candle and took the the cross off the alter and threw it to the ground. >> for someone or for whoever to do this to this parish, is there no words to describe. >> revenge maybe on the church or somebody in the church. >> reporter: police say nothing was stolen and they have to consider the the possibility of the hate crime. based on when a parishioner discovered the destruction authorities believe the vandalism happened between

roosevelt boulevard southbound is still closed after a head on crash near ridge avenue exit. police say a man was driving the wrong way when he hit another car. the the man then got out of his vehicle and jumped over a barrier. he is now hospitalized in critical condition, three other women were hurt there in stable condition, and we will take a live look now, that is the the backup, jam goes all the way past broad street, crews are working to get the wreck cleaned up, so the road can re-open, stay with us, we will continue to update you on cbs philly.com. don joins with us sports and eagles still looking for a new man in charge. >> we will talk about this until they get it done around the clock pretty much. hunt for the one continues, eagles have talked to three different guys about replacing chip kelly to day they made it
