video shows cringe worthy ambush on officer jesse hartnett in west philadelphia suspect moving closer and closer, firing multiple shots until he reaches point blank range. >> shots fired, shots fired. i'm bleeding heavily. >> reporter: his car riddled with bullet his left arm punctured by three, 9-millimeter round, officer hartnett gets out and gives change, injuring 30 year-old edward archer who is then quickly captured. >> the bravery he demonstrated was absolutely remarkable. his will to live undoubted saved his life and we're ever so thankful to god that he is here today. >> reporter: police questioned a suspect as to the motive behind the unprovoke attacked, he confessed and continued to utter these word. >> he stated that he pledged his a allegiance to islamic state. he follows allah and that is yes was called upon to do this, a according to him he believes that the police defend laws contrary to the

new this morning police are investigating a homicide overnight in philadelphia. this happened about 1:30 this morning in the 800 block of north forty-ninth street. police found a 19 year-old man shot several times in the the face and chest. he was pronounced dead at the hospital. there is no word on a suspect a at this time. a community gathering to remember a young mother and her two-year old son killed in the house fire. family and friend placed candles and stuffed animals near burnout home on north fourth street in west kensington. elizabeth perez who was eight

months pregnant initially escaped but then went back inside to rescue her two-year old son. they both became trapped by that fire. officials say five space heaters were running and the home did not have working smoke detectors. well, two men at center of the deadly building collapse at 22nd and market streets have learned their fate. demolition contractor griffin campbell apologized to the victims and families before being sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison. ex-straight or and operator received seven and a half to 15 years in prison. in 2013, six people died and 13 before injured when a building under demolition collapsed on to a salvation army thrift store. well, bill cosby a's preliminary hearing on sexual assault charge in montgomery county is set for february 2nd. the cosby is accused of assaulting a former temple university head coach in helps home in 2004. more than 50 women have come forward claiming cosby drugged and sexually assaulted them. the cosby denies any
