if you like the cold wait another 24 hours. still under the the gun with heavy rain looking better in the city right new with that heavier rain pushing to the north. you can see this on storm scan three. pretty large storm system. we have some showers to come through later this afternoon but bulk of the rain or heavy rain is across central new jersey right now around trenton, even across central burlington county and then up toward lehigh valley, still some pockets of heavier rain across, portions of berks, southernly high counties around hurtford township and center city, allentown dealing with brief heavy downpours. things will improve though over the next couple of hours. weather advisory stays in effect basically from northern bucks, montgomery up to the lehigh valley and parts of the new jersey. we saw heavy rain amounts up to 1 inch in some locations. throughout the morning steady rain begins to taper off. still cannot rule out showers this afternoon, overall amounts from half inch up to an inch and a half and then watch out for ponding on the

rahel solomon has the latest developments. >> he was very a a abrasive, arrogant. >> reporter: this lawyer, says he was dumbfounded when he realized suspect shooter edward archer was a previous client. >> someone who wanted to get things done his way right away. >> reporter: that was several years ago for an aggravated assault and firearms charge. archer is now known nationally for allegedly being the man in this video, he is seen approaching and rapidly firing at officer jesse hartnett. >> shots fired, i've been shot. i'm bleeding heavily. >> reporter: hartnett was shot three times in the arm, a according to the police archer confessed to the shooting saying he did it in the name of islam, a and that police carried outlaws that are corry to the quran. law enforcement officials would not say if they believed archer was connected to a larger terrorist organization. meantime he also suspected that the alleged a act could be some sort of a lone wolf attack. >> i knew in 2013 that he was muslim. i knew he spent time in egypt

the drug lord joachim el chapo guzman could be extradited to the you had. cbs news correspondent carter evans reports, el chapo's hollywood dreams led to his dramatic capture. >> reporter: joachim el chapo guzman is in the same super max prison he escaped from six months ago. military tanks and personnel are standing guard outside. and he was brought here after authorities paraded him in front of the news cameras. el chapo means short i in spanish, but ultimately it may have been the drug lord's big ego that led to his capture, according to mexico's attorney general, el ie gomez. joachim guzman had an intention of miking a film he said so he reached out to producers. the investigators were back at the home where el chapo was held up looking for evidence that may expose others in his

cartel, which is believed to be responsible for half of the illegal drugs, that entered the u.s. from mexico. >> as long as he is in mexico chapo guzman can still operate and always has the the open of escaping. >> reporter: andrew seeley, senior advisor to the mexican institute said it is in the country's best interest to turn el chapo over to the u.s. where he faces drug trafficking and money laundering charges in six states. >> they don't wanting to through this embarrassment again. they know el chapo has said in the past his worst fear is being extradited to the you had. el chapo's lawyers met with reporters outside the prison. they say he is in a state of of anxiety and they plan to fight his extradition, that means he won't be back here in the u.s. anytime soon. carter evans for cbs news, los angeles. according to a piece penn wrote for rolling stone magazine he met with guzman in a hide out late last year.

interview former giants head coach tom coughlin on monday, the interview will happen one week to the day that the coughlin resigned as head coach of the giants. at 69 he is much older than the other candidates that the eagles have interviewed w that said he has more nfl experience then all other nfl candidates, before giants, coughlin was jaguars head coach from 95 through 2002. one of the first people to interview for eagles job has found a new home, dolphins announced bears offensive coordinator adam gase will be their next head coach. at 37, he is nfl's youngest head coach. he had been with the bears one season and offensive coordinator for two seasons before that. flyers at home, yesterday afternoon taking on the islanders. it is their first full game without rookie phenom shane gosty here. he is day to day and after a scoreless first the flyers offense came alive in the second period. sean couturier a able to make a great pass to michael rafl with the goal.
