tracking it for you. >> good morning, guys. weird to think it is weird that snow is coming. isn't it? it is just the weird factor. katie i thought about it this morning. it was so cold i was actually surprised snow wasn't on the ground. >> definitely cold outside. like you said, we haven't had any systems that have had enough cold air with them, to produce the snow. and that is exactly what we were trying to outline in our winter forecast when we made it a couple of months ago, the fact that we need the told air to be here, if we're going to get any casino of not just snow, but any kind of big snow. but here is a interesting statistic. it gets little word i. so pay attention, guys. >> this season so far we know this much. we haven't had any snow at all, not even trace. this thus far is tied for the tent latest first measurable snow. make sense? in other words, any season that's actually had snowfall through the course of the season because we've had seasons that haven't had any snow at all, tide for tent for the first measurable snow, and

the latest first measurable snow came on february 3rd of 1995. now, we aren't going to make that, because it does look like we'll measure something here, you can see on storm scan, signs of life across central pa, but how does it bode for travel? guys, i don't think too, too terrible. we gave you the yellow light for safety and caution for this afternoon and tonight, but any rain or snow showers that do move in are going to be very lackluster, not going to have chance to accumulate much if anything at all, a, the grounds is little too warm, and b, meisha, a just doesn't look like the really cold grounds is there for this to have a chance to stick and accumulate. not this time. >> great news for the commuters, thanks, so much, katie. good morning, everyone, taking a look outside in the king of prussia area. the headlights are moving in the southbound direction at 202 and the schuylkill. you can see, it is looking nice and quiet still as we push into the 5:00 hour. this is fairly typical. we love course see this change, mondays and tuesdays tends to be very busy as we move into the 5:00 and specially 6:00 hour. here is a look at 95 southbound at academy again, looking good, nice and quiet.

the good thing about waking up early. if you get out on the roadways, in your very good company, especially this morning, new jersey, 42 freeway northbound at creek road, heating up ever so slightly as you take this all the way to 295, it is looking a lot like. >> this but you can see volume levels on 42 freeway looking a little bit thicker, little heavier than what we saw on 202 and 95. so, this is where we have water main break this morning, causing some flooding in malvern. cedar hollow road closed between vanguard boulevard, still boulevard, so have to use alternate right now, and i would suggest north valley road. so again water main break causing some flooding in this area of malvern, erika, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. man charged with murdering his toddler son await his arraignment in a camden county courtroom this afternoon. his lauen cysts the father didn't do it. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt spoke to the attorney. >> dj creato said nothing as he left haddon township police department about an hour after he was arrested and charged

with killing his three year old son. >> did dj creato kill his son? >> absolutely not. >> richard, dj's attorney, and tells "eyewitness news" his client is cooperating with authorities. but says detectives have the wrong person behind bars. >> when this first happened i called it a parent's worse nightmare. i thought nothing could be worse. and i think this actually is to not only lose a son, but now, to be the one accused of killing him. >> the three year old's body discovered not even half mile from his dad's haddon township apartment. at about 9:00 in the morning, on october 13th, 3 hours before dj creato was on the phone with police. >> 911, where is your emergency? >> i just woke up, my three year old is missing. >> you didn't hear anything, see anything, nothing like that. >> no. i just woke up and he wasn't in my apartment. i don't know if he wandered out or what happened. i don't know where he was. the door was unlock. i guess he unlocked it and left. >> neighbors waiting for month for some kind of answer.

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joining us with more on. >> this a surprise on the move. >> interesting move. jerry holding press conference later this morning to explain his decision, now, else the owner of the philadelphia media network, which includes the inquirer, daily news, and philly.com. he says he's making this donation to preserve and develop public service journalism and investigative reporting. so, what he has done donated the wiper, daily news, philly.com, to newly created tax exempt organization known as the institute for journalism in new media. he says he will crib

when his public support at home is at all time low, while gaining ground in new hampshire, which holds the nation's first primary on february 9th. >> and governor christie yesterday joined other lawmakers in trenton an announce a deal that would expands casino gambling beyond atlantic city. christy says the measure would guarantee a billion dollar minimum investment in any casino in north jersey. the bill would also require that new casinos be owned by companies that already own atlantic city casino. the bill needs to be passed by a three/five majority in the new session, that starts today. >> meanwhile, law makers in new jersey have also approved a bill to raise the smoking age from 19 to 21. that bill would fine retailers up to a thousand dollars if they sell to anyone 20 years old or younger. new jersey would be the second state besides hawaii to raise the smoking age to 21. that bill now goes to governor christie's desk. he's not said whether or not he's going to sign it. a special state senate panel wants to hear from

pennsylvania attorney general, kathleen kane, at their final hearing today, she will not be there. the hearing is part of a process that could ends in his re -- in her removal from office. kane says the senate cannot remove her on their own, also asking for the reinstatement of her law license. it is under suspension right now, while kane is facing criminal charges related to the alleged leak of secret grand jury material. kane plans to seek re-election later on this year, and when she does plan to run, will face opposition from several democrats. the latest to run is montgomery county commissioner, chairman, josh shapiro. he'll make the announcement later on today. governor tom wolf also appointed shapiro to the pennsylvania commission on crime and delinquency. army sergeant bo berg doll due in military court today in fort bragg california. facing charges including desertion. he did i a periods from his military post in afghanistan back in 2009 and was then kidnapped and held hostage by the taliban. he was released as part of
