meteorologist justin drabick begins our team coverage and he is live on the cbs-3 sky deck, justin. >> good evening, guess contact still nothing happening here, center city right now but you saw just off to the west lancaster county, parts of the berks county getting in on that second round of heavier snow showers. we will see if that hold as they purpose off to the east but best shot to see more snow showers will be up toward berks county, the lehigh valley and poconos f that line can hold through the city around seven or 8:00 o'clock we could be seeing flakes flying here in center city. this is not a big deal as temperatures still running well above freezing. forty-two at the the airport. mid 40's in south jersey. exception in the lehigh valley berks county if you get heavier snow burst it could be a coating on non-treated surfaces. the best shot to see these snow showers will be through 9:00 o'clock tonight. then we will get arctic cold front through here and that will kick wind up. wind advisory in effect until 5:00 tomorrow morning, overnight we are talking about wind gusting to 40 or even 50 miles an hour. that brings in the second shot of arctic air this week.

"eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter joins us from allentown where they saw flakes, earlier today, walt, good evening. >> reporter: good evening, ukee. it was typical of our hit and miss winter, long before any salt trucks were needed here this afternoon, the sun came out. some of the first real flakes of this surreal warm winter didn't cause any skidding on local roads, or on the links of the northeast extension but they did send at least one resident scrambling, to at last buy that last bag of salt. >> finally winter has arrived. >> reporter: well, yes and no. the mini snow squall lasted less than two hours, just long enough to remind us what it normally looks like this time of the year. wondering if you recognize this white stuff. >> yes, finally we got some

another bizarre turn. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is outside camden county courthouse tonight to explain, david? >> reporter: jessica, i talked to many legal experts and they say they are intrigued by this case since it broke october 13th. camden county prosecutor's office had to go through a grand jury to get dj creato indicted. he was indicted but even prosecutor's office admits the the evidence is circumstantial little brendan creato was found dead partially submerged in the water at a park near his home in the morning, on october 13th. the his dad, dj creato walked into a camden county courthouse on tuesday and said nothing before taking his seat. >> the defendant also told police that brendan had never before left his apartment, by himself. he never once left his mother's house by himself. he never once left his grandparents house by himself. >> section chief christine shaw with the camden county prosecutor's office told the

judge that dj creato began dating a 17 year-old over the summer who didn't like brendan. shaw say the two exchanged thousands of text messages and at multiple times she said the 17 year-old asked dj to be alone when she came to visit. shaw pointed out to dj told investigators he went to bed october 12th at 10:00 o'clock but was contacting his girlfriend just after 1:30 a few hours before creato called 911 to report brendan missing. >> circumstantial is only word i can think to use and you heard me say in open court, it is a weak circumstantial case. >> reporter: the prosecution argued that brendan creato died from homicidal violence which means there was no direct cause but it could have been strangulation, drowning or suffocation. following arraignment brendan's biological mother, samantha left but didn't stop to talk to our cameras. few people walking with brendan's mother samantha says she was too upset to talk. meanwhile we are told that 17

year-old is not cooperating with authorities, dj creato is behind bars, $750,000 bail. reporting live from camden county, david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". all right david, thank you. good news for six year-old leah still, she conquered cancer at the children's hospital of philadelphia, according to her father, cincinnati bengals defensive tackle devon still. he tweeted she received her last treatment. leah was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma two years ago, now all a of the details about leah and her particular case have come from her father, chop says it will not be releasing any information. high school basketball coach seen here allegedly head butting a referee has returned to his teaching job. jerry tea vine has been on administrative leave from neshaminy high school since the incident january 5th. at that time he was indefinitely suspended from his head coaching position. that suspension remains in effect. school district will not except further are on his

death. is there a new twist in the the story of the boy found wand nearing love park that we first told but in october. the his family received thousandsness donations to get them back on their feet but now, the the charity that helped out has pulled the plug. kyw news radio reporter cherri gregg gives you both sides of the story. >> reporter: when angela rowland and michael jones moved in this modest home two months ago it was a dream come true. >> we love it. >> love it. >> reporter: last october the couple was found sleeping in love park with their two young children, until chosen 300 stepped into help, raising $12,000 to put the the couple in housing so they could reunite with their kid. >> it is like a dream come true. >> reporter: that dream turned into a nightmare, a a feud developed between the muslim couple and chosen 300. the group claims that they refused counseling, and it escalated last week when chosen 300 held a press conference rescinding its offer of help. >> they became very difficult

with our staff, lot of vulgarity and making some folks feel very uncomfortable. we had to make a very hard decision. >> it was publicized donations made on behalf of my clients for chosen 300 to pay for house forgo a year. >> reporter: this attorney represents the the couple and demanding that chosen account for all fund donated. he said they will take the matter to the attorney general if the group fails to keep its word. >> all of the donations were made for their benefit. i think chosen has said they have using it the for their own use. >> reporter: for its part chosen 300 has lawyered up, terminated lease of the jones rowland home but they will continue to make landlord whole until this dispute is resolved. rowland and jones say they have no plans to move out, or to work with chosen 300 but they will leave the problem in bigger hand. >> when i wake up in the morning, i pray. >> reporter: in south philadelphia, cherri gregg for

kyw news radio for kyw-3 "eyewitness news". a fire that caused major damage to a local bakery has been ruled accidental. delaware a state fire marshals determine the blaze at elsmere was caused by malfunction in and around main bakery oven. the fire caused major damage to the equipment inside the building and the building itself. following hawaii's lead, new jersey could be the second state to raise the smoking age to 21. legislature has sent a bill to governor christie's desk. it is unclear if he will sign it the but it would find retailers up to $1,000 if they sole tobacco products including e cigarettes to those under 21. governor has until january 19th to decide on a legislation. as we wait to hear president obama's state of the union address, this afternoon new jersey governor christie gave his own state of the state. heading in allentown as well. still rain showers trying to develop across delaware. temperatures still warm but that cold air should rush in. most of that is changing over to snow. lots to see if this line of heavier snow do hold tough but lets go up to berks county, and see what is happening on the turnpike, heading east, look at that under that heavy snow squall seeing a burst of snow, little coating on the highway as well. be safe traveling out over next few hours, north and west of the city. if you encounter a heavier burst of snow, coating up to an inch in some spots, reduced visibility and gusty wind. thinks all coming from an alberta clipper. these storms get their name because they are originate in western canada they race down northern plains. they don't have moisture because there is no real moisture source to tap into, and again, we are dealing with just light snow showers across the region, this evening, fast moving system, it the is out of here later this evening but it does reenforce cold air. we're talking about temperatures colder then what

they were on monday. so far officially at the airport no snow reported, not even a trace. as far as measurable snow goes we are sitting in the tenth latest for first measurable snow. i don't know if we will get it tonight, that heavy snow stays outside the city. but latest we have ever got measurable snow at least a tenth of an inch was february 3rd in 1995. here are temperatures well above freezing low 40's from the city south and east. below freezing in allentown. berks county, lehigh county as that heavier snow showers working its way through. cold arctic air pittsburgh 16, 17 in cleveland. that cold air is heading our way with gusty wind. so again snow showers through early evening 8:00 o'clock maybe city sees a few flakes by midnight we are looking good, clear skies, back to sunshine, on wednesday, and thursday, some clouds, start to roll role in. that is just a sign of milder air returning to the forecast. here comes wind with the arctic front they will gust to 30 to 40 miles an hour
