time it does. you're talking tonight. so we're going to likely get through the regular a.m. and p.m. without a hitch before any wet weather starts. looking at the four trusted computer model, it it doesn't appear it's going to be as potent an i vent -- meian, strictly rainfall, no snow, ice to worry about. for now, it is chilly, temperatures rebound nicely in the 20's, 30's, generally through the suburbs you're into the 20's this morning, but with very light wind, which is nice to hear. however, as the clouds do start to build, you're going to lose that sunshine obviously but what happens as you get that blanket of cloud cover setting stage for warmth to at the surface and eventually when the rain does get here, that means that's all it is. you're not going to have to worry about really cold air. rain we can handle.

route 70 westbound past haddonfield road, the right lane is blocked. vice president joe biden comes to philadelphia today to begin his moon shot mission to find a cure for cancer. >> a disease that claimed his son's life. >> jan carabeo is live where the vice president will be part of a round table discussion. jan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, you mentioned vice president scribe is call this his moon shot, that's because he's calling this initiative at the nation's mission to the moon some 55 years ago. he says that call to action inspired science, invasion. this call to action should do the say that. that this generation moon shot should be curing cancer. take a look at the video. happening here today at the university of pennsylvania, vice president joe biden will take a stop here and explain this new national initiative to end cancer. it is obviously a personal mission for him. he alive his son, beau to brain cancer last may. biden says the goal of this

initiative is simple. he wants to double the rate of progressful he wants to make a decade's worth advances in five years. now, to do that, biden says he plans on increasing resources both private and public to fight cancer. he plans on bringing the cancer fighters together to better share information. he says that all of this will get done how to funding incentives better coordination with cancer centers and that starts here today at the abramson cancer center at the university of pennsylvania. >> we're going to recognize this time when we look back as when things changed. when we changed our expectations for treating cancer from treating to curing it. >> reporter: now, the vice president released this statement ahead of his visit to philadelphia writing in part i know we can help solid fi a genuine global commitment to end cancer as we know it today and inspire a new generation of

welcome back, a bus driver in cleveland fights off a knife wielding passenger.

imagine this, surveillance video captured the entire incident on december 23rd. authorities say 22-year-old jar red henderson tried to get on to the bus with an expired tick. when he got into an argument we the driver he pulled out a knife. the driver held henderson down while yelling for passengers to call police. >> disturbing. let's get the latest on the weekend forecast. rain involved, katie, unfortunately. >> nice this morning. >> absolutely. looks as though the rain's timing is on our side. we're going to get through, i would say the morning and p.m. drive with no problems, weather related problems. obviously don't need the umbrella yet. we're in a nice long window of dry weather opportunity and it's going to be a mild afternoon. as you said all courtesy of a warm front. you can see how the moisture blossom down across the pan handle of florida, alabama, georgia, that's headed our way and bringing with it nice wild weather. there's a separate system a

little difficult to detect but it's out there across the northern planes, that is a second piece of energy crossing into northern new england and that's were? you are snow chances are going to be. for us, this is a rain maker, guy, even though we're in the midst of january, it's going to be too warm for anything but plain old rain. let's take a look at future rain amounts. we're just getting under way with this thing by 8:00, 9:00 p.m. it's going to be mainly a dry day and tonight the rain comes in. at this point, our projected rain amounts aren't that impressive, granted it will be a soggy night but by 8:00 map tomorrow, 9:00, it's starting to zip out. we're stuck with it overnight. nice and calming to sleep through. we expect things to start drying out through the course of the weekend. the timing really is on our side. temperatures, as they stand right now, currently at the freezing mark at philadelphia international airport or into the mid 20's, even mount pocono checks in at 33.

thank you on the schuylkill at rush hour, really any hour, doesn't have to be rush hour. can just be a might impair. >> got penndot considering changes. kyw news radio is live for us, good morning mike, i'm interested in this. i think a lot are. >> it's you are driving inbound on the schuylkill expressway and there's heavy traffic you put on your right turn signal and speed up you would get a ticket for doing to today. maybe some day if the future, penndot will allow using the shoulder during peak times creating that third lane of traffic between route 202 and the roosevelt boulevard. that, of course, would require some changes, including widening the shoulders and adjusting overhead signs and ramps. drivers would welcome anything that penndot can do to improve the flow of traffic is what is notoriously one of the most congested stretches of road in the country. there's no time table.

>> she's 102 and the oldest teacher in america. the ageless wonder still has plenty of lessons to teach the children. at 102, agnes is officially the oldest living and working teacher in america. >> i feel like maybe 95. >> she certainly doesn't act her age. better known as grantny in north plain field spent most of her adult life as a stay-at-home mom. at the ripe age of 80 started her career as cooking and sewing teacher. grantny's daughter row crueted her. she teaches here too. >> i saw how she took care of the family, and i knew that she wanted to get out a little bit. it wasn't supposed to be this extensive. >> do you love teaching. >> i love it. the children, they are lovable. >> thanks, grantny. >> you're welcome.

plans to retire any time soon either. a north dakota family is celebrating christmas a few weeks late. he found a bag he thought was garbage on the side of a busy highway. turns out it was filled with presents that had flown from the bed of a family's truck as they traveled for the holidays. earlier this week, diana learned of the discovery while chatting with a friend. >> wait a minute. those presents found on the highway. and so she pulled up the feed on her facebook. she showed it to me. that's my wrapping paper. >> makes you feel good. you know somebody was going to have a late christmas. >> we told her we didn't care about the presents, we cared about our family being together. >> together, the family opened the rest of their presents, which were still wrap and undamaged. >> terrific. that's amazing. made it's way back. it was just meant to be. >> coming up in the next half
