to 45 around noon time, best shot to see that snow shower will be early to mid afternoon. forecast high near average, of 40 degrees for philadelphia, upper 30's along the shore where those locations are best shot. in the poconos passing snow sure late in the day with highs in the lower 30's. the tonight arctic front comes in, we have highs, 10 degrees below average next couple days. we will break down that seven day in a few minutes, rahel, back to you. justin, thank you. deadly shooting is under investigation in the glenwood section. it happened outside a home less shelter earlier this morning. cherri gregg from our sister station kyw news radio 1060 is live on the scene with the very latest. cherri, what can you tell us. >> reporter: good morning, rahel. we have very limited information at this point but what we can tell you is police responded to a call around 6:15 this morning and found two people shot here at the station house, shelter, located on north broad street near huntingdon. we have confirmed that one man has died and that another man has been taken to temple

hospital for treatment. as you can see there are residents and staff gathered here. they are in shock as police continue their investigation. we spoke with one resident who said he was standing out here in this parking lot when he heard five or six pops, which turned out to be gunshots. he said that he saw the shooter running out toward the railroad tracks, located just adjacent to this parking lot and he says he later saw a victim in a pool of blood. now, station house is an after hours, emergency housing shelter that serves about 100 home less men each night. shelter accepts people after 4:00 p.m. and provides all sorts of services, homicide, detectives are investigating, and at this point and the names of those victims have not the yet been released. what we are told is two people shot at station house shelter, one man has been killed. live from glenwood, cherri gregg for cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

cherri, thanks much. family is forced out when fire rips through their home in philadelphia's tioga a neighborhood. row home caught fire in the 37 hup block of 19th street. flames broke out before 2:00 and didn't take long to get a handle on the fire. in one was injured. causes under investigation. just hours after an emotional vigil police arrested a suspect in connection with the thanksgiving murder of ryan kill any port richmond. the 21 year-old was shot and killed on the 3600 block of almond street. police arrested david ramos yesterday morning in frankford. investigators say ramos confessed to the crime. he is charged with murder, robbery and related offences. a philadelphia and adams county man are among the the 12 marines went missing after two helicopter crashed off hawaii. thirty-one year-old captain brian kennedy is from philadelphia 25 year-old adam shuler is from western pennsylvania. rescue teams are expanding their search this morning. on thursday two helicopters

each carrying six marines went down off of hawaii's northern shore. officials say high surface dispersing the debris and complicating search and rescue effort. the cause of the crash is under investigation. >> i know that people are focusing on debris but we are still focusing on finding survivors. >> it will be finding ways to bring them home. marines first. >> reporter: cause of the crash is under investigation. u.s. officials say that the plane carrying freed americans left iran this morning. four americans, including a washington post reporter are being swapped for seven iranians. the prisoner swap was confirmed shortly before it was announce that iran had met all measures spelled out in a landmark nuclear deal. we will get details from cbs news correspondent wendy gilette. >> reporter: iranian state television announced the news on saturday a swap of four americans, being held prisoner in iran, in exchange for seven iranians held and charged in the u.s. u.s. state department also dropped international arrest

street around 4:30 sat the day afternoon. the victim is between 25 and 30 years old. he was rushed to temple university hospital where he is listed in critical condition. police have not yet made any arrests. showing support for a philadelphia police officer ambushed. officer jesse hartnett may have a long road to recovery but won't have to make that recovery alone. he remained on the hearts and mind of the students and faculty at his high school alma matter. >> it is like family when we have been here so long. >> reporter: after 27 years of working at a high school you might think names and faces of student start to blur but not for miss rocco. >> very mannerly, always committed. >> reporter: philadelphia police office are jesse hartnett a 2001 graduate of bonner high school has recently become known to many around the country after what police called this targeted ambush. >> shots fired, i'm shot. i'm bleeding heavily. >> reporter: officer hartnett was shot three times, since the shooting at least twice a

street. this happened 8:30 saturday morning. no word on the woman as condition. the investigators say the fire started inside of the third floor rear apartment, and damaged 20 units. the the cause of the fire is under investigation. east brandywine fire fighter comes to the the rescue while off-duty. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan explains he was at the right place at the right time to save a man's life. >> reporter: thirty-six years on the job east brandywine fire chief joseph edward isn't running up ladders anymore but being the new year he wanted to get back in shape. friday he went to planet fitness in downingtown and in less than 15 minutes a work out turned into first responder work. when a man collapsed on the treadmill in front of him. >> he hit his head pretty hard, started to bleed and was unresponsive. >> reporter: edward and planet fitness staff called 911 to bring over their automated external defribillator known as an aed. >> stay calm follow these

voice instructions. >> reporter: edward put the pad on the man's chest and then a round of cpr until the time of shock. >> right after you you shock the the patient you are to do two more minutes of cpr and aed will count down how long you are doing it and it will tell you one more minute to go, 30 more seconds to go. >> reporter: after two round and one shock the victim regained a pulse. he went to brandywine hospital for further care and this morning called the fire company to thank edward. >> his spirits were high, and more tests have to be done to see what is going on and they hepp for a speedy recovery. >> reporter: edward said even though he was in the the the right place to help the man having a aed red liz a railable was real life safer. >> sooner you have this applied and you shock the patient, the chance of survival increase dramatically. >> reporter: through deputy chief edward rick tim let us know's appreciate everything that was done but he is not feeling up to an interview. get this, he was a former fire fighter n downingtown i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news".
