>> suspect in deadly shooting at north philadelphia homeless shelter is expected to face charges of murder and attempted murder. the john brock turned himself in yesterday. police say that he snuck into the station house shelter sunday morning, after being banned from entering. investigators say, brock shot and killed one employee, and critically injured another. police say brock targeted the two employees after they escorted him out the previous day. >> bail has been set at quarter million dollars for kenneth grimes. police say that owe attack woman sunday morning at the 30th street steaks. grimes pushed woman on to the l tracks, pulled a knife, then threatened to kill her. the woman suffers a broken shoulder, but, made it back on to the platform. police arrested grimes at 30th street station. >> firefighters battling fire that destroyed historic tavern in south jersey. flames broke out inside the hillcrest tavern in bridgeton,

music fans mourning the loss of eagles co-founder glenn frey, he passed away at the age of 67. just last week, david bowie passed away. two of the most unique voices of generation, gone silent. joining me now to talk more about their influence, music director at our sister station, thank you for joining us. >> great to be here. >> great to be here but sad to be here at the same time. >> but we want to honor them. both unique artists, what made them stand out? >> the thing about glenn frey he was a buyer rock-and-roll guy. he grew up in detroit. he was attracted to the la scene. he wanted to go to los angeles, he lofted the sunset strip a lot of their music reflected that era. and that in the 70s, of what it was like to be in l.a. along the sunset strip. so many of their songs of the

and the lyrics, i was such a wonderful story teller, they really drew you into the song. from the beginning to the beginning to the end. each song, its own soap opera as it were. david bowie theatrical. david bowie ziggy stardust, early days, with the real high platform shoes. >> yep, the make up, hair. >> make up, you know, going through his face, and the way the hair was, and then he was even during the disco days kind of changed with songs, he went from like hard rocker in the early 70s, and as of the music, bowie always evolved with some music. so he stayed contemporary in that way. he went from the wild outfits to wearing a suit anti-and a lot of the videos you would see on m tv in those early days. so he was as i mentioned more theatrical. and in his presence of show. >> talk about being on stage, i know you recently saw the eagles, every time in town,

what an incredible concert. >> without a doubt. i saw them in the early 70s, when they would come through the spectrum, and then when they came back in the 80s, early nine the's, when they reformed, and the health freezes over tour i saw them here then. then just little over a year ago they did the greatest hits tour. when they did that it was wonderful. they would come out, glenn came out first, and he would show some of the early songs that he wrote before they were the eagles. and one by one the members would come out on stage until all the sudden they formed as the eagles. >> what a memory. >> when all of those songs with the melodies, the guitar river, just what a fantastic showmanship. all of them were. they really, when they would get on stage, the eagles, the harm money and the guitar work was phenominal. just captured you. as i mentioned the lyrics of the song really drove you in to all of the songs. and it just took you on journey, just little soap opera taking you right on through the song. >> thank you for your time. >> my pleasure, thank you very
