to the midwest. we have more snow on the ground here and in d.c. then we have in des moines, iowa, minneapolis, in chicago, so it is fascinating what one storm can do, we essentially saw an entire season's worth of snow basically out of that one system. so, obviously we've got some pretty decent snow cover as a result of. that several feet worth in fact in many of these areas. so, yeah, you still do have the day off here today to try to clean that all up. at the moment what we are finding is a hint of rain, just some light rain showers, a little bit of pink moves in here. we have colder era cross new castle county heading in to maryland but we will generally find rain drops out there. look at the this, the temperature has ramped up since yesterday. 16 degrees warmer then this time yesterday in philadelphia, 24 degrees warmer in allentown. you will will see more melting taking place here as temperatures are at freezing mark in mount pocono. wet weather is gone.

right, a threat like this requires all hand on deck investigation. it also let school officials weighing whether or not to close school today and overnight we have learn that the 17 year-old girl has landed herself in custody. lets take you any to that post and made its way on the social media site instagram and threatening shooting at chester up land district schools. the chester community charter as well as chichester high school this threat made its way on line just before 7:00 o'clock p.m. yesterday, and the post also includes emoji images of guns, casket, knife and horn faces and closing with the phrase all blacks must die. of course, students across several campuses got wind of the post and officials as well, leaving them to consider closing school for another day, after two snow days, fbi joined chester and chichester authorities and nearby police in this investigation. on line up land boro police did indicate they were part of

yet to see a snow plow on their street. people from fishtown to fairmount, they are still digging out the from the weekend storm. city officials say 80 percent of the streets have been cleared but parking authority is chipping n they are asking residents to be patient and keep calling 311 to get their street plowed. >> 22 inches of snow is heck of a lot of snow. i have seen plows out the and b i'm sure little side streets like this just take time. >> reporter: we will have much more on the the clean up effort coming up in a live report at 5:30. one home owner is dealing with an unexpected effect of the the weekend's storm. this is after the weight of know cause add a roof collapse. crews responded to the 1900 block of off street in frankford just before 11:00 last night. snow on the home's awning caused parts of the roof to collapse, and we're told that home is still in stack structurally and nobody was injured. new jersey governor chris christie is a apologizing after a flood of criticism over remarks he made about

flooding from his last weekend's storm. but as "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt tells us not everyone at the new jersey shore is ready to forgive him. >> i got carried away last night at a town hall meeting. it is not first time i got carried away and said something i late's pol guyed for. >> reporter: governor chris christie said he made a mistake in how he responded to a question about why he wasn't at the shore for the flood clean up. >> i don't know what you expect me to do do you want me to go down there with the the mop. >> reporter: christie made a comment on the campaign trail on monday night. he called north wildwood mayor patrick rosenello crazy for insinuating that the weekend storm was worse than super storm sandy. >> i had a night to sleep on it and i didn't feel good about what i said about him. i called and apologized to him. >> reporter: "eyewitness news" caught up with marrows until owe after he heard from the governor a lot of elect officials don't typically apologize. the appreciate the fact that he did that. i have been saying for days we just need to get work down here. >> reporter: those who call wildwood home want governor

5:14. we have latest on the the forecast, katie, i know you have have to bundle up, it is warmer today, right. >> it is in the the as though you will be hugging the winter coat that much tighter. it is a day where it is close tore cecil nal. we are expect to go level off in the letter 40's this afternoon but we are still watching a frontal passage take place right now over the delaware valley. some might walk out the the door and see on is rain drops outs there in fact, we will show them to you first. i am clearly in the using an umbrella the on the die deck but we did have have some rain. there is a little bit of the sheen here on the the sky deck surface. so there was some rain that did cross through over our center city studios and it is still out there over central and southern new jersey, through delmarva and back in toward maryland and portions of virginia. at this point this cold front is starting to move east, move out to sea, but i will show you this wide zoom too. look at is what happening over florida. that is the beginning of a large storm system which will move northeast. but it is not going to affect us.

if you have rumors of a big storm and just hearing our forecast for the first time about this, well, i don't think you have to worry bit, folks, it will get swept out to sea, no harm, no foul. here's where we are temperature wise. mount pocono at freezing mark. you are done for now. granted you might have slick spots in the the coldest suburbs, i will keep an eye on that car thermometer for good reason but with temperatures right now in the 40's, from i-95 on south east, anything that is falling from the sky right now should not freeze on contact. that is some good news. but, still take it easy with so much clean up left to do in these spots. today would be a decent ski day, folks. we will level off in the 40's in the mountains. you have a nice 5-foot base in blue mountain. so 35 trails are opened up at that particular resort. big boulder, jack frost has 16 to 20. your ski forecast in the looking bad at all if you are a ski buddy and head out for next couple days. we have decent weather to enjoy here. watching for a flurry or snow

shower on friday. not from an organized storm but just cold air moving in. that is a breezy day as a result but this is a nice forecast, as we head back to the philadelphia temperature profile for next several days. the saturday and sunday are looking fantastic with partly sunny skies and temperatures that sees the average in the low to mid to upper 40's. is there a 50-degree temperature on the seven day too, meisha, what more could you want. >> that is great news, thanks, katie. good morning. great news to wake up to. talking about 50's after the the weekend that we had, i'm all bit. happy wednesday, good morning. thinks where we have an overturn truck 422 eastbound ramp to 202 south. ramp is partially blocked. when i see vehicles drive toward or this overturn truck is we are starting to see brake lights go off. when we see that we know this is one of those areas that can cause major slow downs if that doesn't get cleaned out of our way sometime quickly. also an accident i-95 north before business route one has been moved to the shoulder. anywhere you see on this area

is looking good but it spun out and went in the ditch. whenever we see something, especially early hours like this after a lot of the more rain and moisture falls, on the roadways that tells me that a refreeze overnight and it can still be very slippery. in this area moving in both directions starting to heat up a little bit but overall looking good now that has been moved over to the shoulder. so both directions looking good there on i-95 north. also another area i want to call your attention to blue route southbound at mid county. take a look at this we were talking about my goodness, look at how much snow, the snow is up like this now, look the at how much it has melted. so this is great news letting us know that ice and snow is starting to dissipate on our roadways making for an easier drive but there are still some slick places, to make sure to drive slow, erika, drive slow. a beloved elementary school principal sacrifices her own leave to save the lives of several young children from an out of control school bus. susan jordan was walking students to the bus outside,

this elementary school near indianapolis yesterday. suddenly one of those buses moved forward jumping a curb. "eyewitness news" say jordan push several children to safety before being run over. >> we looked a great educator today. we just ask that everyone in this community and beyond to please pray for our students and our great leader. >> in addition to jordan, two, ten years old were hospitalized in serious condition. twenty-five students were on board the bus at the time. the the bus driver said she does not know what caused the bus to move. as is procedure the driver was given a blood test. we have video here that you have to see a new jersey neighborhood rocked when a trash truck explodes. cindy, reported this blast in her ham ill will ton township neighborhood yesterday after afternoon. investigators say that fire started in the truck's battery compartment and thread to the gas tank. several homes were damaged by flying debris, amazingly, no one was hurt.
