good morning, you can call these the forgotten streets. four days after the snowstorm, many philadelphia streets are still covered in snow, as people's patients is wearing short. they want to know where are the the plows? we are live in one of those neighborhoods with the plan to clear everyone's snow out. this is great a very cute moment in the crib. you have to see what that toddler is caught doing when she should have been sleeping, this will warm every little part of your heart, coming up later. big news, kid are going back to school.

philadelphia public and archdiocese schools are heading back. roads are clearing up. >> yes, they are clear. we just saw that preview, of the side streets. >> but main roads are looking really good. we're having a a lot of melting which is good too. it seems to be continuing to melt because of the wetness this morning. >> yes, that will continue obviously in the next couple days. temperatures for highs will be a above freezing. so that will help that along. >> that is right. >> there is still a lot out there to screen up but we have a little hint of wet weather we have to discuss too. would i call these the the aftermath issues. let me take you back in time very quickly. we will look at calendar to see how we are fairing in terms of the january averages. it is pretty split, just right down the the middle here. we've got sunday's warmer than average. sunday cooler than average but no overwhelming majority on either end, but one day that was, exactly on par. can you believe we are wrapping up the month of january, that blows my mind. with that said we're only just about a half degree above average. we really have sort of leveled

off here, leveled off the playing field in terms of the temperature w that said we are looking at wet weather out here. this is our latest cold front to knock temperatures back by tomorrow a little bit. you can still see signs of life on the radar. do i think that even if you see snow flakes around this portion of the new castle county it will have a hard time sticking, the temperatures generally speaking are well above freezing in this area. so just watch for that. i would keep a close watch in my car thermometer that is a good gauge coming up on a overpass or bridge or something like that, you end up with temperatures close to freeze ago this could be slick but it is not as bad. we are seeing northwesterly component to the wind, that is the cold front crossing through. we have a bit of the breeze that will make these temperatures fool cooler then thermometer read. but throughout the the course of the morning we will generally level off. many of you right now is at least upper 30's or lower 40's and by this afternoon with more and more sunshine as the day goes on you will essentially level off to who

degrees here for a high. i have to tell you this is kind of one of the most active days we have had all week which says something. it is not the terribly active and for the the moment, meisha, it is not looking too bad. >> i have to say, like i said earlier call me crazy, it felt nice this morning especially considering what we dealt with this weekend. monday was cold as well. this morning we're looking g drive looking busy, delaware county, i the 95 north the at the 452. this is what you are looking at. have within still traveling at posted speeds w that being said there are still, some roads, that are still looking slicker then others, some are just looking wet. some still have refreeze from overnight, just make note of that this morning take it easy, those kid will be getting on school buses going to will school. be mindful of that. roads will be busy. we saw them heat up yesterday in comparison with monday. we will see that continue today. schuylkill eastbound at city a avenue looking good, just beyond these trees, you can see city avenue. schuylkill at city avenue moving in the westbound direction where we are seeing

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao joins us from fishtown, and peoples patients wearing thin, jan, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning. we will take a look at one of those forgotten streets in just a moment but i want to show you what the the main loads are looking like. we are coming to you live from fishtown from west girard avenue and you can see main road here are looking darn good, completely clear.

you might see moisture because of the overnight rain but not bad at all. that is not the causing the problem. the what is is the side streets like this this is palethorpe street here in fishtown where with you can see mound of snow still, a little bit of ice as well, these chunks that are finally starting to melt. i saw a car having to drive-in to that bank parking lot just to get around all of this mess. as you you head out the the door this morning do realize that the main reads and mess of the side streets are looking much better but you might find something like this as well. we have block streets in fairmount and south philadelphia overnight. the that is just to name a few locations. with each passing day these folks grow more and more impatient but the city says 80 w plowed and they say the streets department cleared 400 blocks yesterday. so some residents do understand the process here. others here who find their cars, locked in place, feel otherwise, lets take a listen. >> it is pretty clear downtown and bigger streets but i pay my taxes just like everybody

else and i expect services everybody else gets. >> they did a great job, all things considered, you know, 22 inches of snow is a heck of a lot of snow to be pounded with, warm temperatures today, obviously helped a lot and i have seen plows out and about and i'm sure the little side streets like this just take time. >> reporter: but it is tough for those people living on the side streets who find themselves still locked in place. now four days of clean up. i want to mention philadelphia school kid head back to class today keep in mind that while we are seeing a lot of great, clear sidewalks, sometimes when a plow comes through an area it might pile up snow on the corners of intersections. this one is looking good comparatively speaking but we have seen sidewalks that are block off by plows, snow on the corner, so just be careful driving this morning, realize kids will go back to school, they will be on the sidewalks and sometimes they may have to crawl over mounds to get to
