looked for a gun and shooter tonight. tonight five students are in custody and a weapon has been recovered. frantic text messages sent to camden's covington from her son, they read someone has a gun in my school. we've been locked in the lunch rhyme. after police descent own ben franklin high school. >> he was scared, he didn't understand. they have metal detector at the front door how you they got in with the gun. >> reporter: she says 11th grader was crouched under his lunch table while the school was on lock down and police searched for a gunman. security guard called 911 just before noon time after a shot was her. a shell casing to a 45 caliber was found inside of a third floor stairwell. >> allegedly at this point there was a group of kid involved in the fight. right now we're told that another individual fired a shot. we don't know if that is true or not about we do know that the shot was confirmed by a security officer on location. >> reporter: police took five students out of the school in handcuffs and the four hour lock down was lifted. after a handgun was recovered. concerned parents were outside

waiting for their kids to be dismissed. >> she is okay. >> reporter: police say it is possible that a secondhand gun was also involved, here. no one was injured today, and it is not yet clear if charges will be filed here. live from spring garden outside ben franklin high school tonight i'm diana rocco for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you for that. some of the last weekend's snow still lingering on the streets and we are hoping a weekend warm up will help melt remnants of the storm. the meteorologist kate bilo is on the skies deck with a look the a the forecast, kate. >> it is a blustery friday night as you you can tell out here on the skies deck, the wind are gusting over 25 miles an hour at the moment making it feel colder then that, and eventually is but tonight is last night we will talk about brutal cold because temperatures are on their way up, and we may be feeling pretty spring-like as we head into next week. here's is what happening in the wake of the snow showers and even a few rain showers that came through earlier today. those are now on out of here but the wind are still very,

>> reporter: while she recovers she thought about never coming back to the bakery that she has owned for more than ten years but she thought about all of the customers who prayed for her, supported her, and deciding ultimately that she needs them, as much as they need her >> i said all that support, i realize, how much people care about people. >> reporter: she tells me although she's glad to be at work she has increased security. there is 24 hour surveillance in the front and the back of the bakery. meantime police here in southwest detectives say they believe the same two suspects in this robbery or shooting also robbed a bakery in january. they say if you know anything about these two suspects give them a call. reporting from southwest decks, rahel solomon for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". the montgomery county district attorney announced the arrest of 74 year-old school bus driver james macintyre. the the driver, for penn ridge school district is facing multiple charges in relation to repeated episodes of

indecent contact with two special needs students between 2009 and 2015. in a statement the superintendent of the penn ridge school district says macintyre has been banned from school property and suspended without pay and added we will be in contact with the families of the student involved and will provide all necessary resources. the district will cooperate full which law enforcement as the investigation, continues. now at new at 6:00 the pennsylvania health department revealed that six to eight are pending in the potential cases of the zika virus here. like the the rest of the cases in the united states, these are a all in people who traveled and would have been infected in other countries. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here with more. >> reporter: that is right new information on sick a state health officials say potential cases are in people who have symptoms and traveled to locations where the zika virus is spreading. there are a lot of people with relatives in countries impacted by this virus. we met with one today.

>> i'm 34 weeks. >> reporter: jamie rodgers is due to deliver in early march at paoli hospital. while she's perfectly healthy she's worried about her family in panama where there are growing concerns about the the zika virus and pregnant woman there. >> something like this that you have no control over, it is a little scary. >> reporter: zika a virus which is rapidly spread nothing central and south america can cause birth defects. thirty-two cases currently in the united states are among people who traveled. virus is spread by mosquitoes which are eventually expect in the u.s. and there are questions and concerns about other ways, that it could be spread. >> if you have this much zika in south america and in the caribbean, sooner or later we're going to see a local transmission. >> reporter: jamie stint on stayed in touch on e-mail and making arrangements to be back the in the u.s. next week. >> are you concerned back around here new that she's coming back from central america. >> i don't have any concerns right now, everything that ivoried so far has been that

anita oh takes you inside an aqua america water plant in phoenixville which has 450,000 people in our area. >> reporter: at aqua's treatment facility is there no shortage of water. >> it is a a 15 million-gallon a day plant. >> reporter: before that gets here, it is filtered through an extensive treatment process. >> it has chlorine for disinfection, and filtering, corrosion control, p h adjustment. >> reporter: curt, the the vice-president of the production for aqua says that water samples are tested at least 12 times a day and monitoring during each step of the filtration and treatment process. >> we're than strict program stores but we neat and exceed those goals as well. >> reporter: that is due to automated machines like this. >> our goal, it is to a ten and new we are at .02. >> reporter: they provide measurements like chlorine levels f they hit higher then it should.

agent in charge john light foot is counter terrorism expert with the fbi san francisco office. for a year he has been meticulously planning a security blitz for the big game. >> the fbi will bring in a few hundred personnel to help support this event. a a lot of them will be located here in our operation center, but a a lot more, will be located, in the field outside at the stadium or events in san francisco. >> reporter: fbi is coordinating with local law enforce . agencies who will have their own officers in the command post. the super bowl is an enormous potential target for terrorist. today the fbi showed off some of the high tech weapons in its arsenal, including remet controlled robots used by its bomb squad. but agents say biggest security challenge may not be a terrorist network but rather an individual, acting alone. the the so-called lone wolf. >> not always, advanced notice in terms of what these individuals might do, so, some targets are just, they are just tough.

and then rain and snow showers, intensified briefly over central new jersey especially wet flakes, slushy coating in spots and now those rain and snow showers are out of here and we are looking at clear skies as we head through overnight hours but well, temperatures are dropping, pretty quickly and it feels colder out there then it is right now thanks to the wind. so it is 38 in philadelphia at the moment. thirty-five in allentown 356789 in millville. the these temperatures are in the bad a at all for this time of the year. they are very seasonal but as i told you all week long friday, is deceiving. you cannot just look at the the temperature but you have to lot wind and wind gusting to 30 miles an hour making it feel coach colder outside. twenty-eight in philadelphia 10 degrees colder then thermometer indicates. nineteen in lancaster. feels like 11 in the poconos maybe doing skiing tonight, definitely make sure you have goggles and everything because it is kind of wind that hits you in the face and eyes start to water. the out about walking around tonight 26 is what it feels like in millville and wind will stay long until at least

after midnight. then as we head into tomorrow core of the strongest wind shifts to the north and east. high pressure sets up overhead. tomorrow while it is in the a warm day it vice seasonal. we will see mix of sun and clouds. it is a beautiful winter day. do you like it warmer? you'll love sunday. highs in the upper 40's to 50 degrees. we could hit 50 in sunday in philadelphia mid 50's we will go. there is a weak little front that will come through monday, couple showers here and there, temperatures will just take a hit of 2 degrees on tuesday, and still well above normal in the our next storm comes in on wednesday and that is what will bring the rain. so gradual rise in the mercury, temperatures right around 40-degree mark for past couple days, tomorrow same story and then we will rise to the the 50's starting sunday, monday well into the the 50's and we will stay there possibly 60's by wednesday. with the clear sky tonight, if you want to brave wind and head outside look to the the sky through february 20th see five planets all lined up, mercury, venous, saturn, mars,

howie roseman has been busy in mobile, alabama scouting talent for draft and locking up some young eagles in to new contracts today. lane johnson got paid.
