your conscious will bother you have day. you almost killed three people. you almost took three lives. >> run down, in the crosswalks, hit and run driver takes off after slamming into a mother and her two young children. police have been busy looking for that driver since that crash yesterday afternoon, we are live with the clues that police have about that car. first though we could see record high temperature today but bigger weather story is what you are looking at right there all that rain heading our way on storm scan three and that is leading to serious flooding fears as well. morning commute should be okay. it is one of the real estate type situations, location, location, location. >> you might be good right now, katie.

>> and there are spots we are dealing with rain as we speak. it is coming down heavily. i have heard from our darkest earliest risers, from our eyewitness weather watcher fran in, in thing ham, chester county. it began raining where he is. that is where we are finding beginnings of the weather. that is where we will start our focus. we are taking a look at storm scan three. this is a serious storm system. i will start off by zooming it out so you can see it in its entirety. it is huge. the it goes all the way into canada and down straight south towards louisiana, and there is a ton of real estate here in terms of the storm itself but when it comes to the local level, not everyone is getting hit just yet. i would actually hazard a guess you will end up with nothing at all across most of the eastern new jersey cher line here and down through southern delaware. southeastern pa end up it looks like wet weather first and then there will be more on the way later on today. so with that said we are watching for the potential of some flooding.

it should be minor but there is one particular gauge on the schuylkill that is showing, maybe a threat for reaching minor flood stage. so that is where we will turn our focus here and we will look at the hydro graph and potential for flooding at that norristown gauge. it might be difficult to see here but basically what happened is the forecasted high, for that flood stage will be at 13.4 feet, on thursday morning. so tomorrow morning, we may see that be cresting as the rain comes through and after any additional snow has a chance to melt. now timing out the actual system for the rest of the region as a whole, through noon it is just showers. a few pockets of heavy rain as we are's already seeing, grant budd mainly just a couple showers. then through midday toward early evening steady and heaviest of the rain will be credits go through and everything draws to a close after 7:00 o'clock tonight. perfect. just in time for us to be outside on the road for evening drive and all gone by the time we are all home for bed at night. that is how it goes. at least it will be a nice

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao joins us from the point breeze section with more on the investigation. this makes you shake your head jan, good morning. >> this is the spot where that young mother and her to second young children were involved in the hit and run accident. this is a mix between residential and commercial properties and there is surveillance cameras all over the place here. now as police continue to search for that driver this morning they are release ago this surveillance video hoping the public can help. >> it its frightening moment just before impact, surveillance video shows a mother with her two children crossing the street tuesday at broad and dickinson at point

breeze. in the blink of an eye a car runs a red light and strikes the family. >> i said boom. we heard the boom. i seen with man go down but little girl was on the hood. >> i heard the young girl screaming, christ. >> reporter: police are now searching for this red honda accord and female driver they believe is responsible. surveillance video shows the the car from a number of different angles. it is described as a a 1998 through 2,000 model and passenger side mirror left at the scene. images hard to shake for eyewitnesses. >> babies laying on the ground and little girl over there and people around her. >> reporter: reverend paul earthquake moore was one of many who ran to help the crash. he was inside his sanitation truck when he saw the the driver take off. the the 30 year-old mother was unconscious. her six in old still strapped on in a carrier. her six year-old hit the hood of the car and landed feet away with the broken leg. >> i said mother is still there, distraught, being hit, a mother war big her kid.

handfull of other spots further west, eileen, also finding strictly cloud cover, she's at 36 degrees in gilbertsville. up toward poconos at 38 degrees coming in from keith. he has more cloud then anything. and reporting, again, cloudy but mild are morning and he is up in one of those most remote suburbs where it could have been a issue where you tend to have coldest air. but it ties warm for any kind of black icing issues this morning. let me take to you one more. we will go into, central, portion office new jersey where in lawrenceville peter is reporting 40 degrees, mild start to the day but a lot of cloud indicative of what is yet to come. and that is this, my friends, as we look at storm scan three the radar is lighting up. is there a blip in the data source here and that is why there might be abe missing spot here but there is rain moving in from southwest to northeast and you can see over chester county, portions of berks, delco getting in on the rain. it is just time that we will get stuck in the cbs-3 sky deck in a matter of minutes. wider zoom, it is simply too
