"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us with the very latest thon case. how scary for those children, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. police say this man wearing a dark jacket and jeans walk up to the front door, opened it and began firing inside and police say he was only visiting, as you mentioned there were other rather at least ten people inside, including four children and they were not the only ones

who saw this man escape. 10:30 wednesday night an unwelcome visitor darken this doorstep in the 1800 block of east fill more. witnesses tell police came out for one man's life. >> from the witt the necessaryes the shooter, fired shots, opened the door and fired shots in the living room but witnesses believe that the shooter was shooting at the the 30 year-old victim who was shot and killed. >> reporter: fifteenth district police got the radio call and arrived to find at least two shots fired, one strike ago this 30 year-old man once in the head. he was left in the doorway to die in the living room. police say he was also visiting that home, also inside, six young adults and four children, age four through eight. >> although, someone was shot and killed we're still fortunate that there weren't other victims struck by gunfire in the house. >> reporter: the shooter ran off reportedly into the nearby tackawanna houses, witnesses were not the only ones who saw

him escape. >> we found not only philadelphia police city cameras in the neighborhood but we found pha housing police cameras in the neighborhood and we also found a business right next door to where the shooting occurred, and, those camera did record the shooter, coming to the location, iron then fleeing from the location. >> reporter: as you heard there police have have several angles of video of this suspect leaving that scene. he was last seen running east on fillmore toward tackawanna houses where he may have been hiding out. at this time police know he was wearing a dark jacket the and dark jeans and wearing light sneakers. if you know who this person is you are urged to give police a call. there is no motive at this time, however police do say there is a a history of drug activity in that neighborhood. erika, back over to you. >> justin finch, thanks for that report. security is front and center as authorities sweep the super bowl stadium and surrounding area bomb sniffing

prosecute cosby for an alleged sexual assault in 2005. but after two days of testimony, the judge decided the reported agreement does not stand and that charge's against cosby could move forward. in december, the 78 year-old was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting former temple employee andrea conn stan at his home 11 years ago. cosby's team then tried to have current district attorney kevin steel removed from prosecuting the case. he argued that steele politicized cosby during his campaign for d.a. the judge says steele can remain on the case. cosby then walk out of the courthouse thanking supporters. many like this woman who stood outside all day waiting to catch a glimpse of bill cosby. >> he is a really big icon. it is hard to see somebody like that just go down the drain. he got a lot of work at temple. >> reporter: cosby's attorney will appeal the ruling. they have a lot of work to do. same story with the attorneys here at the district attorney's office because the next court appearance in this

case is scheduled for march 8th. reporting from norristown this morning, david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". one woman is thankful to be arrive after being carjack and robbed at a gas station in southwest philadelphia police say two suspects hopped in the victim's car after she made a quick run to a gas station on 69th street and bu theist avenue. that is when they force heard to drive a block away before releasing her. it all happened on january 29th around 3:30 a.m. woman spoke exclusively "eyewitness news" about the frightening crime. >> when my car hit the pavement of that gas station that night, i said god, this is it, i'm moving from the cameras there is no more camera after this. i'm dead. >> police think the suspects who targeted her also robbed another man nearby. if you have any information you are asked to call police. still ahead this morning search continues for the hit and run driver who slam in the mother and her children in a crosswalk, and then just drove

it is two days since a driver struck a mother and her two young children in south philadelphia a now husband and father of the victims is speaking exclusively to cbs-3. arthur mcmilan got a call tuesday night that his wife stephanie and two of his girls, five-year old caitlin and four month-old lay lah had been hit crossing the street ate broad and dickinson. the accident was caught on video, stephanie and four month-old lay lah are out of the hospital but five-year old caitlin is being treated for perfect injuries. >> he's a coward for running. there is babies involve. >> so why would you do that. >> whoever it is, i hepp they get is what coming to them. >> police are still searching for the female driver of that red honda accord that left the scene. that car had been missing, passenger side mirror. well, have you ever waved another driver into traffic trying to be nice, to them,
