now starting just yesterday afternoon we started to talk about this. we didn't have five or six day lead time on your last storm. hopefully people have been paying attention and know what to expect walking out the door tomorrow morning and decision makers at schools are paying attention as well because there could be late starts depending where you are. the lets look at storm scan three. you can see looking for snow we are not seeing much of any of that just yet. we are tracking mostly rain on storm scan three. you can see green. look at the how far inland over portions of the carolinas and virginia, and it is moving inland over new jersey shore as well. a as we head through tonight cooler air is going to work its way in after the sun goes down and eventually this rain will not only move further inland but will change over to snow and snow could come down heavily at times. 9:00 p.m. we have light rain down the shore, watch how this starts backup inland by 1:00 a.m., mainly rain still all over the place and then of after 2:00 a.m. watch how that rain changes over to some snow. this is tricky part of the

a driver is killed and four students are among those hurt in the crash involving a south jersey school bus. it happened around 7:45 this morning, on east commerce street in fairfield township cumberland county. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff is live on the scene with more on the investigation, alex? >> reporter: good evening, guess contact state police say that a driver crossed over the center line, hitting in to a school bus head on causing it to fall on to its side. there were four student on the the bus at the time, between ages of 11 and 17. witnesses watched as students were taken out of the back exit of the school bus, turned on its side. >> you could not make out any word, crying screaming, everybody frantic. >> reporter: it was 7:45 this morning on the 800 block of east commerce street in fairfield township that police say a toyota rar4 crossed the center line and collided with the bus head on. >> noise was horrific. the it was a big bang, crash.

>> reporter: that driver, four three-year old larry waller of bridgeton died at the scene. >> i was shock. >> i was scared. >> i didn't know what to think. >> reporter: four special need students traveling to the pine land learning sent and driver of the bus were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. a student aid vera cole also on the the bus was more seriously hurt, the eight two-year old was taken to cooper university hospital in serious but stable condition. >> it scars me, you know. >> reporter: mobile home community that borders the the scene watched as the bus was pulled upright and parents wondered how they will explain all that has happened to their children. >> it the is sad. my kid have questions, other kid have questions, they are scared. somebody lost their life. >> reporter: neighbors here tell me they think the bus may have been leaving after picking up that aid from this neighborhood and pulled out to be hit only moments later. police will continue to investigate what cause that had suv to cross over that center line. reporting from cumberland county, alexandria hoff, cbs-3

"eyewitness news". >> alex, thanks. a freight train slammed into a car after a couple followed their g ps on to the railroad tracks. it happened on waiverly road in gladwynn, montgomery county last night. once the couple realized they made a right turn on the track they got out of the car and then call 911. >> i had peace of mine thank god to get out of the vehicle with the this passenger and safely exit, prior to north or southern train that was traveling east bound on the track. >> reporter: the train, push the car 100 feet down the track but in one was injury. coastguard comes to the the rescue of an injured fisherman, off the coast of atlantic city. take a look at this video from a coast gallon chopper. the 49 year-old man suffered injuries to his right-hand, on a fishing vessel named determination. the fisherman got into a basket and was hosted to the chopper which then flew him to atlantic care regional medical center for treatment. it all happened about 70 miles

from the barnegat inlet. a four alarm fire burns through a home in montgomery county. chopper one over greenwood avenue at sprees lane. no one was home when the fire started and no one was hurt. the the cause of the fire is still being looked into. a terrifying ordeal in philadelphia's frankford neighborhood police say a gunman opened up the front door of a home last night on east fillmore street and started firing. a 30 year-old man was shot in the head and then killed. at least ten people, including four children were in the home. police are searching for the suspect. a special committee will examine criminal justice reform in philadelphia, councilman curtis jones, former deputy police commissioner bethel and chief of the cities public defenders association are all co chairs of the committee among many issues they will examine is wrapped growth of the adult prison population and the impact, that current laws have on philadelphia community. the commit thee will set a date for hearing. meek mill offered word of

stepping up his efforts after disappointing finish in iowa. here's cbs reporter danielle nottingham. >> we're the the beginning of a very, very important last few days. >> reporter: donald trump took a break from his a attacks against rival ted cruz on the campaign trail one day after slamming cruz on social media accusing him of stealing the iowa caucus with official looking campaign mailers. trump tweeted this is cruz voter violation certificate sent to everyone, a misdemeanor at minimum. cruz said trump was just angry. >> i have not responded in kind and i do not intend to respond. >> reporter: trump was leading in the polls in iowa before a last minute surge from cruz. trump's campaign is trying to avoid a second loss in new hampshire. >> we have more volunteers, more active, more people out there knocking on doors. they are going out in teams to have a a lot of fun doing it. >> reporter: analyst say it ties late for trump to build a ground game because it is a a strategy that is months in the the making.

temperatures are expect to stay above freezing in most areas tonight, even as cold air moves in, aloft and upper atmosphere change ago this rain, over to snow, question is how quickly does that change over happen and how much snow can pile up before the system gets out. lets look at weather-wise what is going on. we will go down the shore where speaking of that rain, look at that boardwalk in ocean city, it is wet. rain has moved in the shore points and we will see that precipitation field expand as we go through overnight hours and then eventually enough cold air will come in aloft that it will change rain into snow, and also another question is how quickly does it stick. does it stick at all and where will that snow begin sticking to the roadways. the lets look at a live neighborhood network cameras at broad headsville, this was coated with snow. this area got good deal of snow in the last system. the not seeing much more than the plow piles. fields are clear. that is one spot that may not get a lot of snow because this will be mainly philadelphia, nearby suburbs and then toward shore points. you can see where rain is right now lining up and down

the coast and even as we zoom in we can see generally light, burlington county seeing rain at the the moment down toward portions of southern new jersey inane to delaware. notice the preciptation field down toward virginia and north carolina that will continue to work northward and precipitation will invade our region overnight and it will get cold enough this will change over to snow. if this were happening during the day instead of overnight it would be just a rain event. fact it is coming with enough cold air being pulled in the system that will create risk for some snow. here are your advisories, they will go in effect at 1:00 a.m. until 10:00 tomorrow morning. you can see lehigh valley, berks county not included. bucks, montgomery, chester are included. it goes to the eastern see game. lets talk about timing wise what to expect? rain will expand from east to west as after 9:00 p.m. after 3:00 a.m. we will expect to see transition from rain to wet snow. this will be a heavy, slushy, wet the snow that will keep totals limited as well. after 5:00 a.m. snow, some of

that will be convective. what does that mean it means thunderstorm type snow. i don't think we will have thunder snow but intense snowfall rates. coat to go 2 inches. philadelphia, surrounding suburbs heading up in montgomery, bucks county, two to four possible down the shore with higher amounts from toms river right up into southern new england. it is a little snow but big impact because we have brief bursts of intense snow. it will be snowing during morning commute could stick to roads and we had shorter lead time on this storm. the it was expect to stay off shore until about this time yesterday. rain to snow overnight. it is breezy, 34 degrees. notice we're above freezing. that will be something we will keep in mind as well but i do think it could stick briefly if the snow comes down heavily enough. we will clear out friday afternoon. weekend looks better, highs near 50. we have another chance for snow next week we will have more on that next half an hour. >> see you then. >> thanks, kate. still ahead on "eyewitness news" working out with an olympian.

an up scale shopping center in handcuffs. >> cbs-3 television exclusive. "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter joins us from police headquarters in wayne, with police details, walt. >> reporter: we were there mid afternoon as police swarmed in on a busy main line shopping center, taking two women into custody, inside of a massage business for allegedly offering to perform sex acts in return for money. right here at radnor police headquarters detectives going through all of their evidence, trying to determine, if this may have been part of a larger, human trafficking ring. ma'am, do you have any comment at all what was going on here, the charges. >> reporter: radnor and pennsylvania state police took two women in custody a and say more a arrests could becoming following a surprise raid on the body of zen massage business, talked away in the busy up scale main line shopping center. >> we located in the rear of the property, two people who are going to be charged with solicitation, who were people who were involved in

engaged in sexual acts for pay. >> reporter: police say they started their investigation when they spotted these ads and others on line. >> you could see the suggestive nature of that ad, pictures of woman that looked under age. >> reporter: before taking the pair in custody, police searched carefully, including in the ceilings, hoping to learn more about the operation. >> you have to realize that a lot of these people that are working these massage parlors may be victims of human tracking. we don't know that yet. the investigation is continuing. >> reporter: as they prior to file criminal charges police say they are working not just with law enforcement but also with social services agencies, concerned that the two women in their custody may themselves be victims. >> we even have women organized against rape because we understand sometimes these women are indentured and they cannot getaway. >> reporter: so far two women in custody here are not been identified and the owner of the the business or representatives of the

right now. we will go out to storm scan three. notice lack of purple and white. this is all rain. temperatures still in the 40's if not 50's across the area. but enough cold air will filter in overnight that this rain as it pushes inland will tap into the cold, pull it down and change over to some snow. but this storm is still tricky, the question is how quickly does the rain change over to snow and is the snow heavy enough to pull down enough cold air to actual a cumulate across the area let lot our future weather model. by 2:00 a.m. rain over much of the area and then it changes over to snow it is snowing from the city to the shore and it does start to wrap out of here by 9h a.m. but we have a winter weather advisory in effect at 1:00 o'clock in the morning continuing until 10:00 e shore for accumulating snow expected just in time for friday morning commute. coming up we will tell you how much snow you can expect where you live. we have another chance for
