off to snowy start. lets get right to kate toy see how much snow we can expected to. >> jim, system decided it will be a sneaky bug err, actually over achieving in terms of what we had originally expected out of it, throwing a loft moisture in. and it looks like it will hang out for about the same timing that we had originally expected, but so much moisture, and now, a bit further after westward edge to this. means that we have our expectations somewhat. not terrible. but it is enough that, again, the time something everything here. coming at a bad time. it will mess with us. storm scan looks i would say frankly a lot worse than it actually s it looks like heavy pounding snow it is the wet snow variety, sort every just melts on contact on the roads, and generally speaking here you won't have too much accumulation on the roads unless it is untreated but it does mess with your visibility out there. and, it will eventually just because it is coming down so heavily see modest accumulation, but winter weather advisory posted for at least these counties in southeastern pennsylvania, most new jersey, all of

delaware, until 10:00 for the city and vicinity, and up until noon down toward the shore. simply because you have this hanging around for few additional hours. part of the reason you might see to up 4 inches near the shore towns, again, notice the little lower left hand box, may mainly on grassy surfaces coating to 2 inches out toward i95. what can you expect? call it heavy wet snow. heavy simply because it is that heavier r more like wet snow, not the life fluffy snow, but won't accumulate heavily. slow travel, slick spots, you bet you. not necessarily icy, but poor visibility certainly going to be a problem, and any time there is wet weather just automatically slows you down. then this afternoon, it is all gone. it is like it never happened. although you are still going to have some damp weather or damp roads i should say left behind which could refreeze tonight. temperatures, they're marginal with freezing right now along i95, but it is cold enough. that you are going to see those heavy wet snowflakes falling out there. and it lasts us right through the typical morning drive.

so, no break, or no rest for the weary any time soon here, meisha arc but at least toward the afternoon. we actually should get in on some sunshine. so quick hitter, but, ya, little stinker of a storm. just saying. >> sure is, kind of creeped up on us, lingering through the morning commute. but the good news it is going to get out of our way for even commute. that's great news for a fridayment we just want to end on a good note. we want to get through the morning commute. right now things looking okay, starting to see more headlight, more tail light, even early 4:00 hour, helping you know a lot of people want to get jump start because they know and dealing with wet roadways, can slow you down. ninety-five south at cottman, what you are looking at, not looking too bad, but when we consider it is only 5:00 a.m., a lot of vehicles out there already, and that's not bad idea. blue route northbound before route one, see the droplet on the camera letting you know it is wet in the areas we are seeing the snow come down, coming down very hard, leaving you with the visibility issue, as well, so drive slow. give yourself little space from the car in front of you.

westbound toward philly on the ben franklin bridge, you can see, zoomed in on that speed censors, showing you 35 miles per hour. speaking of which, we do have a speed restriction in play on all of the bridges. for the most part. these four, ben franklin, betsy ross, walt whitman and the comador barry bridge down to 35 miles per hour there. also, some construction the ramps delaware avenue closed. this will be closed until february 24th. so for those of how use this ramp you just want to make make note that's closed almost all month, all month of february. we do have this downed tree also west bradford township glennside road all lanes still blocked. you're going have to use an alternate, the long drive would be my suggestion, back to you. >> thank you, meisha keeping the eye on the roads for us and road crews meanwhile working over time to keep the roads safe. >> "eyewitness news" reporter just ten finch liver at the penndot salt yard in south philadelphia, where crews are busy. justin? >> jim, erika, they've been out on the roads for at least more than an hour now that we've seen them. they left here earlier awful of salt. and moving very quickly on to

the roadways. i want to show you how this stuff is coming down here. as it hits my jacket, there, you are seeing it, there is some ice there, some snowflakes there, it is kind of melting on contact. i have been inside. so perhaps that's why. and then look here at the ground. they did drop some salt here, as they make their way up as you can see, it is melting, it appears, on contact here on the roadways, we are seeing some puddles, some water form, but no accumulation sticking to the ground as of right now. looking above on the overpass, here, 95, the flakes are falling, there in the light, you see moving there in the light there, traffic also moving on the highway there. this is a good sign, showing us, here, the roads are passable, and are okay at this point. but in conditions like this, you do want to be safe. let's show you now those trucks, as they were heading out this morning. the trucks were lined up here on the street here, leaving the salt yard, awful of salt to head out and take care of the road for your commute this morning. the penndot crews working to get early start on this thing to get the roads treated as

the conditions changed throughout the day. of course, in conditions like there is you still want to be see those trucks out on the road, remember, to keep your distance, as they do their jobs, it is not a very easy one, specially, as traffic builds up on the roads throughout the day. back out live, i do want to show you that the tractors are here, wait to go reload these trucks as they return, as they have the need to replentish their supply. but so far, they are working on the situation here, as you are going out this morning. you still want to be safe and, again, mindful of these trucks, as they're out there treating the roadways. jim, erika, back over to you. >> good reminder to give them that space on the road. >> indeed. now, we cross the delaware into south jersey, which is supposed to get more snow. >> our jan carabeo in the cbs-3 mobile weather lab cruising all around in moorestown, any change there, jan? >> reporter: erika, jim, good morning, casino every seeing this same thing. we've made our way from

philadelphia, across the ben franklin bridge, into south jersey, we took route 30, route 38, and this is what we've been seeing all along the way. yes, we are seeing this wet, heavy snowfall. but it is not sticking on the gown. you can see, just offer to the right of your screen, where it is sticking. it is sticking on parked cars, and on grass, and on people's front yards. but, fortunately, for drivers early this morning, it is not sticking on the roadway. you can see, here, in downtown moorestown, this morning, this is main street, looking pretty darn good. yes, this wet heavy snow falling, but as soon as it hits, that warmer pavement, it is just turning right into water, it is melting right away. so, you are seeing that shine on the road of course, there is moisture out here, but the good news for these early morning drivers is that it is not really creating any problem for drivers, because it is not snow accumulation. with that said, what katie and meisha and what everyone has been saying this morning, just because you might not be seeing this, accumulation every snow, you still want to take it easy because you might
