reading so some icy spots potentially the next several hours, watch out. still dark out there, black ice possible, so just be aware that far for the untreated surfaces there. is the change in the temperatures, anywhere from about six to 16 degrees, colder from this time yesterday. part of the reason is we just don't have any clouds. it is clear, we have calm winds, all of the cold air, can just settle in at the surface, so again with the below freezing temperatures, all of those wet spots, we're able to refreeze again last night. so, use extra caution early this morning. we're quiet in storm scan3, we'll see decent amount of sunshine today, that's going to help get the temperatures back up above average, 42 the average high for the day, maybe it 46, low four's at the shore, 30's in the poconos, even warmer tomorrow.

>> twelve year old boy killed in a house fire while trying to save his father from the fire in the home. the latest: >> reporter: good morning, rahel, family members say 12 year old sanford harley affectionately known as man-man was bright and fun young spirit, who proudly wore his norristown youth eagles uniform, relatives say he now has another badge of honor as they remember him as a young hero. we're told that machine mcmahon-man returned back in norristown, and yesterday morning, in an attempt to save his father who had recently undergone surgery, man-man did not know at the time his father had actually jumped out of the second story window at this home, injuring his back, and his hip. four other family members also safely made it out, but man-man tragically never d while relatives are grieving the loss of one their own, they say, rush to go help others was just part of man-man's character.

>> tragedy out of delaware county. an elderly woman died when a tree crashed through her bedroom in broomall. marjay cooper and her husband were asleep in their home when the tree fell yesterday morning. couple was trapped for hours before the tree could be removed. mr. cooper was rushed to the hospital. his wife died at the scene. the already saturated grounds from melting snow and rain may have contributed to the tree coming down. >> new this morning, car ends up on the front lawn of the property after crashing into another vehicle. crews responded to the 2100 block of south white horse pike just before 1:00 this morning, and had to cut a woman out of her car. police say one of the drivers was taken to the hospital. no word yet on what caused the crash. >> a young girl and her mom are recovering this morning, after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. the mother and her two children were crossing at broad and dickinson when they were hit by a red honda. the driver remains on the loose. diana rocco spoke to the victims. >> after surgery, and with two screws and rod in her leg, five year old caitlin is home from the hospital reunited when her sisters, and talking about the hit-and-run, that left her with a broken leg. >> then he hurt my leg. >> were you scared? >> she is get through anything. >> her family calls her tiger because she's so strong. surveillance video shows the horrific scene tuesday, on broad and dickinson street, in south philadelphia. caitlin was crossing with her mom, stephanie, and four year old sister on the way to a doctor's appointment. >> all i remember is we was crossing the street, and my daughter got hit. and i just woke up in the hospital, my husband was saying stephanie, you're in the hospital. and i had tubes in my throat. >> mom, stephanie, suffered head injuries, and remains bruised, while they were waiting for help, she couldn't talk, so she said caitlin was

able to tell the strangers who they were. >> she was in pain, but she went through with it, she told these people, like listen, my name is caitlin michelle. this is my little sister laia. this is my mom. >> police are looking for later model honda accord with missing side mirror. family would like to see the driver turn themselves in. >> it was a bad person. >> i could have been gone. i would not be here. >> police are still looking for this driver. the family has now offered a reward for information leading to arrest, and anyone with information is asked to call police. in south philadelphia, i'm diana rocco, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> the pennsylvania supreme court denies attorney general kathleen kane's request to reinstate her suspended law license. the courts unanimous ruling now allows the state senate to take it next step toward removing her from office. cane's law license was suspended last fall, as she fights criminal charges that she leaked secret grand jury

and bill clinton have earned a whopping $153 million from giving speeches since 2001. and the last 15 years, the couple has made a total of 729 speaking appearances, at least 7.7 million of that is reportedly from speeches at big banks. the democratic presidential candidate has received criticism for her ties to wall street, during her campaign, but clinton has said speaking engagement do not affect her politics. >> overseas now, in other news, at least seven people are dead and earthquake that strikes the southern taiwan. rescuers are race to go find additional survivors after already pulling about 250 people from the rubble. the 6.4 magnitude quake took down several buildings, including, a 17-story highrise, more than 300 people have been hospitalized. searches have found wreckage, but no sign of survivors, after two planes crashed just outside of the port of los angeles.

three people were believed to be aboard the two planes that collided around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. no word yet on what might have caused the crash. the search over a 200 square mile area is expected to resume today. >> a frightening scene in new york city at the height of morning rush. take a look at thisment construction crane as tall as a 56 story building comes crashing down killing one man, and injuring three other. buildings were damaged, and cars were crashed, as the crane came down, a counter weight landed on a desk in a nearby office building. the wreckage scattered debris along an entire city block. >> still to come on "eyewitness news", why one area high school will be cheering extra loudly during the super boehm. >> and do you want to build a snowman, still where conditions were just ripe for this frozen olaf when "eyewitness news" continues.

>> ahead of the superbowl, high school of denver kicker celebrated when brandon mcmannus day. last week north penn high school sold orange and blue t-shirts, and will now donate the money to mcmannus's anti-bullying foundation. as i found out the event was more successful than even the school had ever expected. far, far from denver colorado, in lansdale, pennsylvania, hundreds, thousands maybe, are rooting now for the orange and blue.

>> everyone is so hyped at north penn, everyone freaking out. >> excited and seeing orange. because denver broncos kicker, brandon mcmannus, was a football player for north penn high school. so, the school had an idea. >> we said, hey, let's get some t-shirts together. let's raise the money for his anti-bullying charity. and we were able to do that, and our expectations were far exceeded by the way. just two days, they sold 1200 shirts, and raised more than $6,000. the player even taking time out every his busy pre superbowl schedule, to express his gratitude. >> thank you for all of your support, selling all every those t-shirts for me. go broncos. go nights. >> now, north penn school colors are actually a lot more like the carolina panthers. but, ask around, and you'll finds around these parts, it is fully broncos country. >> so cool to have such a legend at our high school, and it is really cool for me, because my sister graduated with him. so she new him, and it is just

here in philadelphia, john has 29 degrees, clementon, coming at a chilly 20 this hour, mid 20's bath, also at phil's in philadelphia, down south jersey margo simons 24 degrees, she has windchill of 19 at buena vista township. so, this is what is left of the snow from yesterday. this is picture sent in by john, here in olney, and little snow still on the grass, streets looking okay, some weather watchers reporting some icy spots along some of the driveways. so let's talk about what to expect as far as today. this morning, up in northampton county looks good, bethlehem, live look, you can see some color showing up as we are getting ready for sunrise in just less than an hour or so. cold start. temperatures there in the 20's. but nice rebounds this afternoon. so, our headlines, sunshine this weekend, pleasant temperatures, into the 40's, we will bring back the cold arctic air next week along with snow chance, we break it down in just a bit. this what is happening right now. nothing. clear skies. calm winds. some clouds may roll in later this afternoon, but still call

it a mix of sun and clouds. good day to be outside to do some skiing and ridingment check out the latest ski report for today, jack frost big boulder up to 36 inches of snow, open full capacity with trails, 48 up at camelback, 48 trails, also 24 to 48-inch base in blue mountain, coming in with 36 trails for today. and here is the ski forecast, looks great. this weekend, mid 30's today it, upper 30's tomorrow. in the sunshine some light winds. monday we bring in more clouds, maybe snow shower coming in late in the day, temperatures just above freezing. so this weekend it, looks good. protected by high pressure. that keeps us dry. tomorrow, kind of the same deal. mid and upper 50s, maybe even 50 degrees, one storm system heads out to sea, here comes the next one, the one to watch. as it dice out of the great lakes, could energize just off shore. coming in monday night, tuesday, so here's what we can expect. late monday some light rain, snow showers develop. and then, overnight monday, into tuesday, some on and off snow showers, at this point it, doesn't look like a big storm. so, accumulations don't appear to be heavy at this point.

we showed you the european model little bit while ago. this is gfs model. they're real similar. we have the storm coming out of the great lakes, transfers energy off shore. just like the euro, pretty far off shore, not too strong just yet. then it heads taught sea, just least with us light accumulations, but still enough to cause some problems. again, once again, bad timing. tuesday morning, that morning commute could be few inches of snow to deal with, we just have to watch. that will sun, clouds, pleasant today, 46 degrees. tonight, it is clear, it is cold, 32 for the city, and then tomorrow, superbowl sunday in the delaware valley it is great. even out in california, no problems for the game. kick off 66 degrees. motionly sunny skies, mid up fourth's, with sun, bring back clouds monday, high in the low four's, late day rain, snow showers possible. and then some light snow on tuesday, highs in the upper 30's, tan just stays cold. there is the winter weather forecast, rahel, next week, 32 for high on thursday.

to high level clouds, this filters out sunshine little bit. overall nice weekends today and tomorrow. high pressure protecting us from any storms. so, no issues today, as far as travel conditions. tonight, another clear, cold night, tomorrow, maybe some clouds return for delaware, south jersey, there is a storm, but this one misses us, it stays just off shore. but again it, could brush eastern new jersey with a little bit of clouds. then we have to watch this system diving out of southern canada. at first, that is clipper system, little stronger than normal. but as it moves to the east coast it, will intensify. but this one, takes little longer to intensify, so looks like the potential for snow will bring some lighter amounts, but the threat is there. so, monday afternoon, late in the day, some light rain, snow showers, do develop, as that storm starts to enter the mid-atlantic region, then as it intensifies off shore, we will see some on and off snow showers through the day tuesdayment some of this cock at late. depending how heavy it is. as of now doesn't look like strong storm. so, accumulations would be on the lighter side at this point. most models indicate that
