notebook "a gazillion times so i knew it was all about chemistry. i was really nervous the final i met him. i am like what if we don't like each other? how will we do this movie together. instantaneously he cracked some joke and i started laughing hysterically and that was it. >> great thing about ben is that ben grew up in georgia, right? so he knows the south and he knows the clichés to avoid and there are often clichés in films about the south but ben is from there so he was able to pull that off. and she's just electrifying both on screen and then in person. and, you know, you put that together and it really works well. you saw why tom's character would have been in love with her and you can see why he would fall in love. you kind of leave and wonder why every guy is not in love with her. she's that good both not only on screen but in person too i think. >> the teasing and the laughing that you see between them, is really, you kind of get it. you get it. >> you are my new neighbor aren't you. >> yeah. >> i am travis. what are you so angry about?

choice a little difficult between your character, dr. ryan, and travis? and i am not giving much wait a minute because there is a whole bunch of choices throughout the whole fill. film. >> i can tell you there was a group effort to do exactly that. not play this character in a way that yeah, get rid of that guy. why would you be with him? and i think that ben and i both make it very difficult for teresa's character to make the choices that she has to make. >> why are you making it so hard for me to flirt with you? >> if i made it easy wouldn't flirt anymore. what are you doing? >> walking towards you a little slow. >> why? >> because if i ran i would scare you. >> why did you do that? >> because you bother me. >> this time around you are returning again to your roots of north carolina. i loved how this movie was shot. i thought it was so beautiful. i wanted to go to every place, including the ben and mary clinic. i thought it was beautifully shot. not only as the producer but also as the author, what doesn't to be brought out in this film? >> i think the same thing that i

always hope for in i film, in the end i hope it's the best fill that many it can possibly be. to me that's really measured by how much viewers like it. >> every breath you take leads to another choice. ♪ ♪ >> come back to me, baby. come bother me. >> some choices could change everything. >> i should have been there. >> it's not your fault, trough. >> it's did you read the book first? >> no. no. >> no. >> was that a professional choice? >> sometimes do you have to make the choice where you don't want to read anything that your character may not have had been informed about anyway. when i was on "smallville" for 10 years i didn't look it the comic book or do much research about superman because i played clark kent and you doesn't know who superman is. it's a fro personal choice but a lot of times it's timing. >> i didn't want to read it because i wanted to be committed to the version on the film. i knew there were subtle changes so i didn't want to be swayed in any way by the novel versus what we were trying to butt on film. so i read it afterwards.

our characters were so determined and strong with the challenge that i was facing as an actor trying do it all really kind of fed in to the character. >> it's all good. [ laughter ] ♪ ♪ >> i believe you did your own zombie research. what did that consist of? >> there was a documentary you can see on youtube which was i think they are parisian men who had been infected with rabies, and they studied them through the whole process of rabbieses. it's a really unsettles piece. but that was one of the models i used for zombies. and then another document roy people on meth. ♪ ♪ >> so i was thinking if we were to do a different mash up with a claims novel or classic movie

right now on eye witness news denver domination. the broncos role past the panthers. philly's own brandon mcmanus. there's nothing like the thrill of watching a super bowl, but some people took it a step further tonight, placing bets on the game, from the point spread to who won the coin toss.

tonight we go inside the book i. the fans of the birds have a reputation for bad behavior, but some say eagles nation gets a bad rap. so which stories are actually true. that's a good question. nicole brewer separates fact from fix. we begin tonight with the denver dominating over panthers. the bronc owes didn't have much offense but they didn't need it. their unstoppable defense crushed mvp cam newton. don joins us from santa clara. don you talked from a local player from our area who put up some big time points for the broncos. >>reporter: yes, i did. guys, the confetti is still on the feel, but the denver bronc owes are in the locker room celebrating and that includes brandon mcmanus, their kicker. here's his story. he went from district to north penn to a successful career at

temple to now superstore at the bronc coast. he had 106 the first 16 points. after the game, i had a chance to talk to him in a chaotic scene. it's kind of the way it's been a little bit this post season. i want to go out there and do my job. if it came down to my foot, i was ready for it. i wanted to bring this trophy back to denver. hopefully i get back here again. i'm going to enjoy this one and bring a ring back to north penn so they can all see it. what's the plan? when are you going back to celebrate? >> whenever i get the ring i'll be the first one in the high school so everyone gets to see it and i'll enjoy sometime with the teammates and we'll have some fun. it's undescribable. i'm so excited for him. he's worked so hard. he's had a great season, a great playoff. for a while he had the most points in the game. we're so happy for him, pennsylvania, north penn community and temple university.

people do it anyway. i spoke to a local book ' and a betting expert and what they told me was quite revealing. >> maybe it's just the rush. a sports lover himself, this local book ' understands why some philadelphians bet on games. we agreed to conceal his identity because of the nature of what he calls his side business. a lot of my friends bet through me but my family doesn't really know. on average he says 20 to 25 people regularly place bets with him that typically range from 25 to a thousand dollars per bet per game. he says it's all done through a website operated over cease. what about if someone can't pay or doesn't pay, what happens? >> it's not like the movies. i don't go and break their legs. if some than would doesn't pay up, i just don't take their bets anymore. can you give me a ballpark about how much you can make doing this sort of work. >> i make an average week, 2 grand. > per week.

>> there's people that make a lot more. my best week this year was probably 5 grand. do you ever get a moment where you worry, maybe i'm taking advantage of someone that's in over their head, maybe i shouldn't be offering this to somebody? do you ever have that moment. >> i thought about it, but they're going to bet no matter what, whether it's through me or through somebody else. for you it becomes why not me? basically, yeah. despite the desire to conceal his identity, the legalities surrounding his side business don't really worry him. feel like it's almost accepted. people look the other way. philly ross is a betting expert who sells his predictions online. i'm there to help you beat the system, beat the market and just get you the best lines that i can possibly get you. using his knowledge of sports, math and computer programing ross helps his clients avoid

that one. seven it's a of the price. no tip. > good stuff. nice job. the forecast as we head into the work work. we have two storms we're tracking and the threat of snow and one of the most brutal blasts of artic air we've had all winter. it doesn't sound good. we're talking about being plunged back into some nasty winter weather as we head up into the workweek. take a look at what's happening. notice two storms, one chunk just off the coast of the carolinas, but that one is a miss, but a miss nonetheless unless you're down the shore. it does look like that will brush the shore system with some rain or snow overnight. the one that will bring us a chance of snow is this one. a new coastal low that will throw some snow back into the region. it's kind of a disorganized

pattern. you can see just offshores no moisture making it onto the coast but we do expect that that will back in to the west overnight. at 4:00 a.m. some rain showers and eventually some snow showers. just for the shore points. nothing really further inland. it becomes all snow at 8:00 a.m. so youic what up from cape may all the way to new york city, philadelphia, not much, maybe a flurry if one of these happens to back far enough in. this is not going to be a big deal for us in the city t. the temperatures upper 30s down the shore. not a huge deal with this system, but with all the moisture being pushed on shore we have a coastal flood advisory for tomorrow morning and a coastal flood watch will go into effect for tuesday morning. a lot of coastal flooding expected as the system moves up the coast and pushes the water toward the shore towns and into the delaware bay as well. this is a pretty nasty storm system for new england. not for us.

this is what we call a big upper level low pressure system swinging down from the great lakes as it does show it's going to throw back some moisture. but this is a very disorganized pattern, it's not a straightforward pattern working its way up the coast so it's hard to tell where the heaviest bands will set up. we have rain and snow showers and possibly a steadier band monday night and even into tuesday morning. we have the threat for some light intermittent snow onto tuesday. this is just an extended period of intermittent snow is that will impact us from possibly monday night all the way through the day tuesday. rain and snow showers any time monday, i don't expect to see too much during the day tomorrow, and then snow starts late tomorrow night, light intermittent snow through the day on tuesday. light accumulation is generally expected across the region. we don't expect too much in the
