12:00 pm
from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia. this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". snow falling lightly, you can see it there on the arch in philadelphia's chinatown, the scene could change little later though as we are tracking some snow. you may not see much out of your window right now, but his is a changing situation. good afternoon everyone, i'm jim donovan. >> i'm erika von tiehl. katie tracking this tricky storm, all going see it at some point just matter when, how much, this thing is pokey.
12:01 pm
we will want to get right over to katie with the forecast. >> like the pokey little puppy. doesn't want to leave. it will take its sweet old time, large expansive system part of the forecast here it doesn't have a loft moisture with it, doesn't have a lot every strength, so, we are going to see snow out of it, i call us more than anything big fat nuisance on fat tuesday. >> to current snowfall totals we are tracking, very short list, generally location that is fall anywhere from philadelphia on southwest. >> thugs far, generally unpaved surround fuss pick up inch, in glenmore, for example, at philadelphia international airport, so far .3 of an inch. we have been in the thick of this for many hours, but light precipitation bark worse than the bite, primarily the southwest half of the delaware valley getting included here in terms of the precipitation. also, plane old rain across portions of delaware and southern most new jersey here. now, we're sort of sitting
12:02 pm
right along this barrier that's setting up. where you will end up with steadiest moisture, looks like the radar will eventually fill in with time. we are track that little bit more later in the show for you. but, just here's where we stand right now, you have got winter weather advisory post in the all of the counties shaded in purple there. those last until tomorrow morning, also, winter storm warnings, for choice few locations primarily west of philadelphia, although coy see us doing decent here with snow fought toll as in new castle as well as salem counties, too. your general synopsis, though, the snow going to be light, it will be intermittent, off and on, scattered, however you want to put it, but it won't be huge swat of heavy snow that comes through. higher totals granted head further southwest of philly but general one-3 inches still our expectation, watch for slick travel out there, a lot of time these more lackluster system tend to bring some of the worse travel issues, especially if the road isn't treated this could get little slick. meantime everything we do see come through today will be light, but still with us, any time the rest of the day or
12:03 pm
night, temperatures in the meantime have chance to climb to the upper 30's, in philly, at the shore, up in the mountains little colder, but, you might even see few peaks of sun along the way, lot of moving pieces with this one, jim? >> thank so much, katie. you can track the weather any time download the free cbs philly weather app. it is available on itunes and google play. >> we have new video this noon shows the brawl inside old city whatever led to assault investigation, involving former eagle, lesean mccoy. crossing broad. com obtained this video which shows what appears to be a fight inside the recess lounge early sunday morning, police report obtained says mccoy and throw friends allegedly punched and stopped two off duty philadelphia police officers. the officers were seriously injured. so far, no arrest warrants have been issued.
12:04 pm
>> officials are predicting record turn out. "eyewitness news" reporter rahel solomon is live at polling place in manchester, new hampshire, where people are out and about doing their civic duty. rahel? >> reporter: good afternoon, jim, that's right. this afternoon, we are here at the websters school, one of 12 polling sites, in the city of manchester, the state of new hampshire's largest city. take a look behind me. i have to tell this is actually smaller than what we have seen today but officials here telling me that they have seen strong numbers as of about 20 minutes ago. officials telling me they've already had 180,061 people show up, and of course we're expecting record turn out numbers across the state. so what we're seeing here, we are probably seeing across the state, as well. now, part of what makes new hampshire politics so interesting for many, is how many undeclared voters they have by some estimates, 40 to 45% of voters are undeclared, and what that means is that those voters can come here
12:05 pm
today, to polling site like this, and they can decide which primary do they want to vote in. do they want to vote in the republican primary, vote in the democratic primary, then, and here is the key, they can still leave undeclared, and that's interesting, because i've been seeing a lot of people as i stand here, i've been seeing a lot of people double check and make sure, hey, i can still leave here undeclared. but it is very important to voters here in new hampshire, i keep hearing it time, time again. so all of these folks here will decide whether they want to vote republican or democrat. here's however the other thing. if you are already registered, republican, if you are already registered democrat, you have to vote in that primary, but again, 40, 45% of voters declaring themselves undeclared. so that's what makes new hampshire policy so interesting t could really go either way. now, polls for the most part opened at 7:00 this morning, they close at 7:00 tonight. so still lots of activity expected for the rest of the day, and we of course, will travel to some of the other polling sites, try to catch up with some of the candidates, and have updates throughout

12:07 pm
carolina donald trump the clear frontrunner in the polls but also led the polls in iowa, only to finish behind ted cruz went the votes were tallied. >> for the democrats, it would take a major upset for senator bernie sanders to lose. today's vote are all about expectations, moving forward. >> hillary clinton is pushing for every last vote. as she can close the gap on sanders, she can claim momentum just like bill clinton did when his second place finish 1992 earned him the title the come-back kid. sanders himself will likely say the win is proof that voters want a political revolution. weijia jiang, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". and stay with "eyewitness news" for continuing coverage of campaign 2016 and the new hampshire primaries, when not on tv you can always get the latest on our website cbsphilly.com. meanwhile, in our area, delaware county authorities are investigating a deadly hit-and-run in chester. a woman's body was found near

12:10 pm
