darkness falls we're on paoli pike down from route 202. most of the road with the temperature above freezing, everything is moving well. road surface is wet the but it will take you longer time to get where you are going even though most of the day was, pretty much, very light snow, in this area. as flakes, fell intermittently throughout the day, instead of roaring wind, there was the sound of resident, breathing sighs of relief, after worrying that they might get slammed by yet another major snowstorm. >> luckily it didn't really stick, so you know, you are all knotted up thinking my god. >> not like two weeks ago. that was bad. >> reporter: huge piles of snow still melting from the race winter blast got only a thin coating of white, from this one. >> i would much rather have it like this. yeah. and bet their we don't have the snow. >> reporter: road surfaces throughout chester county mostly just wet with no major accident, mass transit or travel problems, reported.

now. meteorologist kate bilo is here with more on what you can expect tonight, kate. >> ukee, this storm is behaving much like we anticipated, it has always been a disorganized system and, the snow showers have been, scattered through the course of today. we have had breaks in the action, steady of the snow, actually, coming down right now as we told you the evening would be the focus of the heavier snow but we have milder air working in. that means for much of the delaware and south injuries think has been more rain then snow. you can see it is starting to change over a little bit and may get snow across south jersey and delaware but winter weather advisory has been canceled for this area the further are north we have these steady band, starting to set upright now, you can see the dark purple shading here lining up over portions of montgomery county, northern chester county and heading in the city of philadelphia. that as walt mentioned could lead to those big fat flakes coming down could lead to low visibility on the road, even though temperatures generally warm enough pavement temperatures that the road should stay generally wet through the next several hours.

"eyewitness news" reporter greg argos is live in olde city with the the new video and latest on that investigation, greg. >> reporter: jessica, we can tell you the the entire investigation, entire case, everything is in the hand of the district attorney's office right now. they are reviewing it and they are charging unit will deciding whether or not to issue arrest warrants new cell phone video shows the the all out brawl apparently involving two off-duty philadelphia cops and former eagles running back running back lesean shady mccoy. and right now central detectives say that they have handed the case over to the district attorney's office whose decision it is whether or not to charge the nfl star with aggravated assault. >> this wasn't just a regular pushing, shoving match. this was an all out brawl. >> reporter: according to incident reports and police sources the fight began around 2:45 sunday morning at the recess lounge in olde city. lesean mccoy and three friend began arguing with the off-duty cops over a bottle of

champagne. when one of the officers fell to the ground. police reports say mccoy and his three friend then punched, kicked and hit that officer. another off-duty cop there was also injured in the the mala. >> i believe that they are both out, both home recovering, serious injuries, not scratches and contusions, talking broken bones, broken eye socket, possible broken jaw, fractured skull. >> reporter: tuesday we have learned mccoy main retained jack mcmahon who said his client has nod been interviewed by police and no charges have been file. >> we're looking forward to seeing the outcome of the investigation to see where it lead and hopefully it will lead to the arrest of these four guys. >> reporter: as for a time line on possible charges, the d.a.'s office say they do not have one but if an arrest warrant is to be issued for mccoy and his three friend they could possibly come down, tomorrow morning. we're live here in olde city, i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> greg, thank you.

police believe someone in the black nissan central hit the victim and then kept going. it was located a few blocks away with heavy front end damage. police identified victim as 24 year-old woman from boothwyn. an update on the search for missing man from pottstown now, police have found car of that man nine three-year old laureled leaster in the schuylkill river in north coventry chester county. and we have our eye on a storm system we are tracking snow moving across the region. take a look at this video from chester county where the snow was really coming down. now look at storm scan three. the winter storm warnings are in effect for parts of our area. "eyewitness news" continues now at 5:30, good evening, i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. we will go over to kate bilo in the weather center with the latest on this storm, kate. >> jessica and ukee, we have steady snow coming down at the moment. we will show you kutztown area middle school camera completely snowed over here. look at this time lapse from the west vincent elementary school in chester county. you can see flakes coming down all day long. parking lot gets brief liz covered. the it is covered at the

moment the with the band of snow that just moved through. untreated surfaces like parking lots at a school will be covered as we go through the overnight hours or at least through this evening. we should clear out overnight. you can see band starting to push to the north but they are one of those bands we talk about yesterday, a convective band of snow fall over portions of montgomery county and even in the city of fill and portions of south jersey. i want to zoom in, deborah on twitter told me in jeffersonville they are getting hammered with snow at the moment. you can see why. notice intensification in this one band here from collegeville toward east norriton, lower providence right around that area down toward oaks, jeffersonville area we are seeing heavy snow at the moment. main roads should be okay but this could pile up, an additional inch as we go through the evening, before it finally does push out overnight. we will remain in a winter weather advisory and that continues until 6:00 tomorrow morning. snow is not done just yet, even though road are generally warm and we expect no major travel, accumulations on the

roadways just be safe tonight. we are seeing steady snow at times, untreated surfaces like that parking lot i showed you will continue to be slick and reduced visibility in the heavier band of snow. that will slow down travel this evening into tonight, and then we will clear snow out but we will talk about that lack of cold air, we will have much more coming up in just a few minutes. for now, back over to you. authorities are arresting a chester county teacher and charged him with child pornography. brandon mitchell was a chemistry teacher at downingtown west high school. investigators say mitchell traded sexually explicit text messages and photos with one of his students. he was suspended in april and has been since resigned. a cruise ship damage in the dangerous winter storm is on its the way back to new jersey and should arrive sometime tomorrow. royal caribbean's anthem of the seas faced massive waves and winds topping 100 miles an hour, all 4500 passengers on board. the tonight there are calls for an investigation.

>> it was forecast for days, so why in the world would a cruise ship with thousands of passengers, go sailing right into it? >> royal caribbean says it will offer passengers a full refund on the trip and 50 percent off of their next cruise. coming up at 6:00 reporter alexandria hoff talks to two people from our area, still on the ship about their dangerous voyage at sea, plus, find out why passengers may not be able to disembark as quickly as they hoped coming up at 6:00. an apparent malfunction with the automatic safety system is blamed for failing to prevent a deadly train collision in germany two. commuter cranes crashed head on killing at least ten people and injuring 80 others. authorities say that the automatic safety system was designed to apply the brakes in the event two trains ended up on the same track. black boxes from both trains have been recovered, and investigators hope data will verify what went wrong.

caught on camera the roof over the pumps collapses at a southern california gas station. take a look for yourself, two workers on the roof when they noticed cracks, they scrambled to get to safety just moments were that collapse. >> you know, these two guys were up there. i didn't know if one of them had been crushed under the roof or it fell with the roof. >> one of the workers suffered a few scratches. two cars were underneath the roof and one did get crushed. its driver was inside the convenient store when the roof came down. a florida man is under arrest accused of using an alligator as a deadly weapon. twenty-three year-old josh james, allegedly tossed three and a half foot long reptile in the wendy's drive through window. now the incident happened back in october but james wasn't taken in custody until this week. the his parents are calling the arrest, one big misunderstanding. >> when somebody at wendy's, they were pranking, because he is a prankster he does stuff
