>> at fifth and fisher street injuring woman. stolen car also slammed in three pardon cars, police took the suspect into custody. flamed rip through row home in montgomery county forcing several people out into the cold overnight. freezing temperatures did not make things any easier for firefighters either. justin finch joining with us more on the challenges these firefighters faced overnight. justin? call came in just after 11:30, they say once they arrived they showed to up fire that was raging on the second floor of that rowhouse, and also, battle against the sub freezing temperatures say initial reports were of people trapped in the house powell street, victims were able to escape from back of third floor rear of the home ran onto second level rooftop. flames scorched the brick house, even as crews fired streams of water in the cold conditions. fire chief says no report of

civilian injury but the norristown fire chief does say the firefighter at least one suffered minor injury, treated at the scene. those affect kept warm outside beneath blankets and jackets watching firefighters finish off the flames. fire chief says the cold conditions did complicate the effort but were able to do their job. >> we spoke with a friends of the owner, and another next-door, showed up, she says, after seeing the fire on tv and could not believe she knows the home that was the the latest fire fight here in norristown. >> second bad fire in norristown, and we really have to do something about this fire. i hate winter. >> cold weather is, you know, didn't hamper effort, but certainly wasn't a help either. obviously once the water is used starts to freeze, and right now we're dealing with slippery road and sidewalk

conditions a.m. frozen water lines, fire hydrants, ladders, and right now everything starting to freeze up. >> not an easy fight for firefighters here in norristown overnight looking them, the center home where this fire broke out. three unit affected it a percent to the right and left of the property. the cause of this fire, remains under investigation this morning. that investigation will include weather -- whether or not the homes had working smoke alarms. we know at least 15 people have been displaced that's about seven families, one family is next-door home we're told and again the fire remains under investigation, only one minor injury to firefighter, erika, in times like this, that could have been lot worse. back over to you. >> speaking of fire and ice, aftermath of six alarm fire in frankford over the weekend. that's what left of joe's auto body on griscomb street, just covered in ice. firefighters not only had battle the intense flames, but

done, jan our smart girl there. all right, so cold, turning to our forecast right now, you can tell from space, look at that, what you are looking at picture of the polar vortex, astronaut scott took that from the international spare station tweeting it saying quote it even looks cold from here. but katie, the upside to ooh what your forecast is, at least the warm air will move? >> absolutely, tracking snow, but also tracking more than that. with this storm system, because what we're finding with the snow is actually believe it or not a warmfront lifting in. we'll discuss the in's and out of the storm in a second here. but initially snow is the concern for your tramples. eyewitness weather watchers are starting to see little hint of it. still early, but we do have couple of reports at this point of generally just couple of light flurries, margo finding that, in south central new jersey we've been seeing that sort of lift in here. just beginning, with flurries for her. and it is frigid. she advises to layer up as you head out. thankfully not terribly windy. that's good news to go with this, a lot of temperatures in

the teens, lynn, also finding handful of flurries, in cherry hill, she's so glad that she's got the holiday off. if you are lucky enough to be finding the i day inside here just enjoying the day with the holiday. lucky you. still cold outside. temperatures go-go on uphill climb. allentown, just clouds, for julia at this point. that's going to change. and it will change for everybody. no matter where you reside. again, this is all lifting in from the south with time. the bulk of it at this point, though, basically could you draw a line say from atlanta back to cumberland county back to kent, all ports south that far are basically where you are finding the snow at this point. but it continues to lift north with time. and the different kind of impact that you will find with this are starting with snow, then eventually mixing in, and eventually rain. it is primarily for just the daylight hours, all snow for the poconos, once it starts, three to 5 inches for you, in philly and the suburbs just through the daylight hours snow turns over to mix, talking generally one to 3-inch swat of light fluffy snow, mix that turns over to rain eventually before the

long. i had the chance to sit down with ll cool jay returning for his fifth consecutive year to host the awards. i asked him what he looks forward to most about the show. >> just seeing all of the gram ill moments, seeing all of those artists come together, seeing, you know, different people from different genre's, mashed up together, just it is always different. like, you know, they're always different things happening, the openings are different, the performances are always different. the artists always have something different that they want to say. and it is perfect platform, the biggest platform in music for artist to make their statement. >> it is great. >> every year there are so many stands out performers. is there anyone in particular that you just can't wait to see them perform live? >> up know what? i'll tell you there is no one person, it is really about all of these, it is like mass, just kendrick lamar times
