shore. depending on just how much of an impact it has on the roadways. of course, this is nothing compared to what we saw just a few weeks ago. in fact, governor christie na s announcing that he is seeking fema disaster relief where they say more than $80 million of damage done at the shore. hopefully just a is or is not where people can come outside and just enjoy a little bit of the snow. reporting live in avalon, cleve bryan cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> people and ducks like it sounds like. from the shore, eye on the storm coverage continues. greg argos. how is it looking in delaware right now. >> reporter: you can see the snow is coming down here. in delaware, like you method, new castle county right here behind me, we have route 13. fortunatelyly you can see route 13 right now. it is a little bit damp, wet, there's no accumulation on the roads. that is good news. take a look at the secondary roadways. the parking lots. you can see a quarter eighth of

an inch, what we have here me are the snow piles from the large storm in january. this is still around here. but all of this new lighter stuff, that is the new snow that is falling. delaware department of transportation officials say they have had all their snowplows, equipment, all on the roads, pretreating this, because of the storm like you mentioned, the conditions here, can could get a little worse. it's a wintery mix that's expected here. so the snow that's right now white and fluffy could turn into more icy dangerous conditions for drivers on the roadways. i spoke with some of those drivers who say, they're not concerned about what they're doing on the roads. they're concerned about what other folks are. take a listen. >> i just anticipate they're going to do contactly what i don't want them to. i break earlier, you know, try not to go as fast, things of that nature. >> i pay more attention. i have to. because i got to watch out for the other driver. >> you're the second person to

"eyewitness news" at the maintenance yard in norristown. front end loaders dumped into plows ready to hit road ahead of the storm. penndot says it did not needed to any pretreating because the roads still have left over salt on them. >> the positive for the storm that it's starting out of as snow and changing over to sleet and freezing rain. the inverse of freezing rain and sleet to begin with can make things treacherous and difficult to deal with. hopefully as we spread salt during the snow event, the salt will mix with the freezing rain and sleet that's to which put and prevent some icing. >> penndot asks that drivers use caution if you have to travel in the weather tonight.
