this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". good morning, a tragedy, a husband tries to save his wife from a burning home. obstacles that prevented them from saving her life. also day in court for the suspect in the deadly rampage in michigan watch police now know so far about the alleged gunman. >> and, a judge makes the call on whether camille cosby must give a deposition in the lawsuit against her husband, while the cosby's lawyers explain were they want a delay. >> good morning, it is monday, february 22, i'm erika von tiehl. we want to check in with katie and meisha after a beautiful weekends. how can we top that, degrees. >> yes, good morning, so gorgeous, and i have to say that even this morning even though it is still very earl at this felt pretty nice out

there. so traffic looking nice and light right now. what's in store for us? >> not looking at too much here today. we had disturbance brought in yesterday, brought in little wet weather. that's really clearing out fast, and now we just have to look ahead to the mid week, in terms of wet weather, i would say the start of the work week, pretty nice overall. definitely going to be little chillier than it was over the course of the weekends you will still remain average for a handful of degrees. we start it off with storm scan3, nice wide zoom on the camera here, and at the moment things are starting to look a little more active down across the deep south. at least back here at home it is nice and clear. as skies continue to clear out, we are ending one more and more sunshine once the sunrises over the horizon, so storm scan3 at the local level, looking very tranquil at this point. area temperatures, not bad. despite the fact we had showers move through. temperatures are mild enough in most locations, do you not have to worry about any icing for sure. forty-two currently at the airport, not bad, actually more emmies end of typical

those every you taking mass transit today it will probably be a fairly good day. looking nice and quiet in the world of travel. >> community mourns a mass moving fire kills a grandmother and critically injuries her husband desperately trying to save her. the flames broke out around 5:00 yesterday on the 2300 block of blue bell avenue in boothwyne. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joining us outside the crozer-chester medical center with more on that victim's condition. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, that victim who passed away has been identified as brenda mccape. her husband has spent the overnight here recovering at chester crozer burn unit and at last checklist in the critical condition. upper chichester fire marshall david holland says her husband was injured trying to rescue hits wife from their burning boothwyne delaware county home yesterday. fire reports came in about 5:00 sunday evening, and the fire itself was captured on cell phone video by neighbors

on the 2300 block of blue bell avenue. passersby even tried helping but the flames were too intense, so hot they were felt across the street. fire crews would find heavy fire and smoke at the two story house, and inside crews found that 50 year old female victim trapped on the second floor near the stairs. she was pronounced dead soon after. meantime, close to 100 firefighters got the fire under control within the hour. as neighbors spoke to "eyewitness news" about their sudden lost. >> it is very painful. specially when someone just half hour prior to that i saw her with her beautiful blonde hair out in the backyard playing with her grandchild, and then to see her on a stretcher burned, and then to hear that she was dead. so i'm just -- just keep prayers for the family. >> and prayers for this father's recovery, and husband's recovery. now this fire broke out officials say her husband was

outside with the grand kids, saw and heard that fire and moved in to rescue her again. he was in critical condition, at last check. the fire remains under investigation at this time. the fire marshall says they may have an answer about how this fire started and what started it perhaps later on today. and we are live here outside chester crozer, justin finch, "eyewitness news", erika, back over to you. >> justin, thank you for the update. >> two fire fight remembers recovering from injuries they suffered in a burlington county house fire. that call came in yesterday afternoon to this home on 15 wilson avenue in bordentown. their injuries are considered minor. cause of the fire is under investigation. >> investigators are also trying to pinpoint the cause after fatal accident in gloucester township, new jersey, a car struck and killed a woman on the 600 block of college drive last night. the driver stayed at the scene, and is cooperating with police. >> camille cosby will have to give a deposition today in a lawsuit against her husband. a judge denied a request to delay it.

she's scheduled to answer questions under oath in a lawsuit brought against her husband, by seven women who say he sexually assaulted them decades ago. her lawyers said camille cosby's deposition should be delayed, because she, quote, has had no involvement with the facts oral gazes underlying this case. also, happening today, former philadelphia police officer is scheduled to go on trial accused of mixing terroristic threat. prosecutors say, while off duty, edward hit a man in the knee with his car on october of 2013. he then allegedly threatened the victim with racial slurs, and showed off a gun. he faces six to 12 years in prison if convicted. >> the uber driver who police say went on seven hour shooting rampage in michigan set to be arraigned today. police say 45 year old jason daulton allegedly drove around did a ma zoo saturday night shooting his victims at random. six people were killed, and two injured, including a 14 year old girl, there were

seriously injured. authorities say daulton pick up uber passengers between the shootings. matthew melon says he road with the suspect. >> we were kind of driving through medians, driving through the lawn, speeding along, then finally once came to a stop i jumped out of the car and ran away. they had his name and description of them on the news, and i had a horrible feeling in my gut that this was probably the man that i had gotten the ride from earlier. >> daulton was taken into custody early sunday morning without incident. police say he has no previous criminal record. >> right now, it is 4:38. it is onto nevada where republican presidential candidates are seek to go win support in tomorrow's caucuses. donald trump made a stop in atlanta where he ran into some technical difficulties. >> probably sent here so we put them in our jails because to put them in our jails they didn't pay the electric bill. >> oh, right there, didn't pay the electric bill.

trump kept ongoing, earlier on "face the nation" on cbs-3, and he spoke his win saturday in the south carolina primary. >> i had a great victory yesterday, south carolina was amazing, new hampshire was an amazing, you know, the size of the victories, i think, were incredible. yesterday i won every delegate. i won all seven congressional district on top of having a big margin. so, that was a great victory. >> exit polls show it was trump's strong performance monkey van gel calls in south carolina that helped him knowledge another victory and sweep all delegates. >> attention shifts to the democrat after hillary clinton's victory in the nevada caucuses saturdayment clinton is coming off six-point win over bernie sanders, yesterday she made campaign stop in houston and made a repeal to voters to sends her to washington. >> and what we're going do in this election is to make sure we have a democrat in the white house to succeed president obama to keep our

time for check on the forecast, katie, can we keep the nice temperatures going? >> i would say so. it will be little cooler than it was yesterday. but certainly a nice day for the standards of mid to late february. this is going to be a bad one for us at all. we do have high pressure on our side for at least one more day. here is my advice. enjoy it while you've got it. storm scan3 did have disturbance push out, it is pushing away, fizzling away to nothingness on the radar right now. you can bank on full sunshine here. we have to talk about what's coming down the pike here. tuesday, wednesday, and thursday, essentially your entire mid week going to have some sort of impact here with two separate storm systems, so the rain moves, in primarily tuesday afternoon, you'll likely have mixture of some icing up toward the poconos, then periods of heavy rain off and on throughout the day wednesday, windy conditions, as well, and thursday morning, it is starting to taper off completely, so again tuesday to thursday, starting tuesday afternoon ending thursday

good morning, it is monday, february 22, i'm erika von tiehl. we start things offer right now with a nice dry day after wet end to the weekend, katie and meisha stands bias we head back to work. >> good morning, happy monday, yes, feeling great outside, katie, tell us all about that, roadways looking nice and dry, no accidents to report either. so katie what is in store for us today? >> thankfully looking at some sunshine, did have disturbance roll through, brinking in a bit of wet weather, now clearing out of here, so if you have any cloud cover that's all that's left at this point from that little minor disturbance, but it is to will be nice day to enjoy before the next big thing comes along, and why that next big thing, i mean two, separate systems for the middle the part of the week, nice and quiet to kick it off here, we overlook the delaware river here from palmyra cove nature park, you can see there is still some cloud cover, still being reflected up toward the sky there. but we are seeing these clouds break thin, and thin out, as the day progresses. you can see also in the beginning s
