>> are the cbs-3 "eyewitness news". not quite sailing weather just yet, but we will take this sunday i warm up, right? because it could be the last we see of the sun for a little while. good afternoon, i'm erika von tiehl. just a gorgeous day to be outside and, yes, the same olds story this winter, enjoy it while you can. let's head out to katie on the skydeck, first look at the

forecast. looks beautiful out there, kate. >> i feels that way, too, erika. not saying shorts and t-shirts weather necessarily but i have my winter coat on, i feel comfortably warm out here on the skydeck, bright blue skies, full sunshine, will last us all day. like you said you can't get used to this, we start you off out to the graphics, view on storm scan3, which is totally devoid of virtually anything, you barely cloud in the sky, certainly full sunshine, up our sleeves here for the rest of the day, temperatures responding to, that upper 50s, up and down i95, point south of that, little cooler by comparison, as is typical up in the mountains. climb above average territory so not as warm, as the weekend produced but certainly up not mountains to about 40 degrees, changes are coming our way, folks. so while we don't spet one drop of any precipitation today, by tomorrow, that chance goes substancially up, and come wednesday, we will

also have a pretty solid chance to see some steady rain. this is coming courtesy of duo of storm systems two, separate systems to bring us soggy mid week. so there will be few little dry patches along the way, we track these system for you, but, in the meantime, what a day to enjoy leading up to it. blocks from the cbs-3 skydeck, greg argos out at 30th street station, gwen, i have the sun at my back, beautiful view, don't have a swing here at the station. >> beautiful out here, at the 30th street station, one of those days specially considering it is late february here in philadelphia, where folks are coming outside. they're ditching their winter jackets, and instead of the hot coffee, maybe purchasing an iced one. >> the sun is out, the sky is blue. the river walk is busy. many philadelphians are loving this warmer than average weather. >> real nice, the sun's nice, a little chilly but really just gorgeous so you have your coffee. >> yes.

philly weather app. available on itunes and google play. a man is in critical condition this noon, after a desperate attempt to save his wife from their burning home. fifty year old brenda motorcyclekane killed in the fire 2300 block of blueball avenue boothwyne, delaware county. her husband was outside when he saw the fire and ran to her aid. he was returned at crozer-chester center burns. the cause of the fire still under investigation. and uber driver accused after deadly shooting rampage in michigan over the weekends is set to be arraigned on murder charges. correspondent kenneth craig explains why it may take some time before authorities can establish a motive for the attacks. >> investigators say, 45 year old jason daulton pick his victims at random. killing six people, and seriously injuring two other. police say the uber driver ghana shooting spree at apartment complex in kalamazoo, michigan saturday night. then killed a 17 year old and

his father at a car dealership, and then gunned down four women at a cracker barrel. surveillance video let to dalton's arrest early sunday morning. >> daulton is former insurance adjust err in and father of two, being arraigned here at the county courthouse monday as investigators search for a motive. >> there is no connection that we're aware of between the three different sets of victims to each other, or any of the victims to mr. daulton. >> daulton had no criminal history before the rampage, and uber says he passed a backgrounds check. investigators say, he may have pick up passengers, during his shooting spree. mark dutton and his friends say they got nervous when daulton pull up in a black chevy hhr. matching the one police were looking for. >> hey, this isn't the hhr, you aren't the guy, are you, and i kind of just said no. >> sunday night hundreds kale together for prays is -- prayer service as they tried to make sense of the send less n kalamazoo, michigan, kenneth

craig, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now, 14 year old girl shot in the attack was declared dead until the moment she seized her mom's hands. >> this happened as the teen's mom was deciding whether to donate her organs. judge is is set to decide whether a lawsuit in the sandy hook massacre can go forward. gunman adam lanza shot and killed 20 children and six adults in 2012. nine families and teacher who was shot and survived have brought a wrongful death lawsuit against the manufacturer, distributor and searle of the ar15 rifle used in the attack. lawyers from the gun company wants the charges dismissed. police hope that you can help them finds a suspect caught on camera during a robbery in the somerton section of philadelphia. surveillance video shows manna announcing the robbery at wawa at bustleton avenue just after 3:00 in the afternoon on december 30th. that man as you saw right there jumped the counter then tried to pry open the cash

register. he got away with a unknown amount of money and took off east, heading east, toward philmont avenue. if you recognize that suspect you are asked to call police right away. also, do you recognize this man? he's wanted for trying to rob a dollar general store in philadelphia's oxford circle neighborhood, back in november. the suspect put a whiten develop open on the counter and demanded the clerk open the cash register. when she told them she didn't have the key, the man tried and failed to open it himself. he got away empty-handed. >> and, police are is her clinic for three suspect wanted for home invasion in kensington on friday. the surveillance video captured the suspects driving the red pick-up truck, it has the word dry wall on the tailgate. police say a female suspect asked a resident on the 1800 block of east cambria street to use his phone. two male suspect pushed their way inside the home and beat the resident. they got away with electronics and about a thousand dollars from a water jug.

>> enjoying today but we have not one but two chances of rain coming up? >> two separate systems coming our way, sort of get spread over the course of 48 hours here. >> you have no to ruin two days. >> essentially. there will be times when we catch few breaks along the way, i'll tell when you those are. we want to give you the best opportunity to actually get them in here. although i have to say the odds are slim to get much done outdoors. although we do have mild weather to go with this, which means, not too much in the way of snow potential. for late february, that's not terrible. let's go on outside, show you what's happening, at this nice wide zoom. we have one disturbance starting to get its act together over what we call the border around texas, arkansas, louisianna, now spreading out little more here.

drawing across mississippi river border here into mississippi, as well as alabama, and this becomes the next system that comes our way. much more organized system where is it? let's just start to get its act together. once it pulls out of the rock tis will grab up good gulf moisture, blossom into something much bigger two, systems we are talking about here, so starting tomorrow rain moves in, with time, generally for the p.m. time frame t moves in from south to north, so the further south you are, the earlier it gets here. wednesday we get little break. which we will show you. then seconds system comes along bridges with it heavy pockets of rain as well, pretty strong wind, as well. that looks to linger even into thursday. before finally clearing out, still have morning showers out there. let's track it bit more specifically. tuesday 9:00 a.m., remember, this is model, not goes pell, but gives you good sense whatever will take place here. should get through most of the typical rush, toward the early afternoon, starting to spread out over the radar here, and it will likely be cold enough

initially across the lehigh valley and poconos to see wintery mix take place, but it is just rain for the rest of us including philly. then you get another break. so wednesday morning rush, also not looking terrible. second system comes along, late afternoon, more rain, looks like nighttime you ends up with the heaviest rain which lingers into thursday morning, before gradually tapering off. and the winds is still an issue. we also talk before we went to break here about the potential for storms it, does look like we've got at least a slim shot for something to turn locally strong, in the way of heavy downpours, gusty winds, also some embedded thunder but basically the southern tears of our area. and we've also go to worry about minor flooding threat here. over the course of two systems, basically 48 hours, one to one and a half inches, not horrible. but could lead to poor drainage flooding corks lead to rising creeks and streams. man is this site for sore eyes? no one is out at beach patrol headquarters in margate. if you want privacy on beautiful day, place to head. but that said, nice afternoon. no matter how you slice it,
