mystery on their hands. a woman murdered inside a south philadelphia restaurant. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live at the crime scene. good morning, justin. >> reporter: good morning, rahel. police are looking for who ever made their way inside this restaurant, down to the kitchen, where they gashed and bashed a female cook and left her for dead last night. the crime scene investigation fanned out about this restaurant at washington avenue and randolph, calls to police came in about 9:00 on thursday night. and third district officers arrive to find a woman, age 54, dead, her neck slashed, and body bruised. she's identified as the cook here vietnamese and chinese food restaurant. police say the kitchen where she was found is in the, the din the second floor. police say the cook here put up a very fierce fight based on items found strewn about the kitchen, and one piece of equipment found a top her body. now, all of this, what's
