areas of patchy fog. then see plenty of sunshine this afternoon, what to expect this morning, just chilly temperatures, in the 30's, by the afternoon the sunshine really heats things up. getting close to that 60 degrees mark, so officially getting to up around 59 degrees, for the high temperature for philadelphia, 50's at the shore, even up in the mountains around 50 degrees. so, meisha, today's going to be one of those afternoons where can you drive around, roll down the windows, crank up the music, enjoy the sunshine, and plenty more warm temperatures on the way. >> i'll go rent a convert, justin, just go crazy. >> that's right. do it. >> good, mo, happy monday to you, if you are just waking up with us we are so glad you're here, maybe grabbing the first cup of coffee. roads are looking good, looking nice and quiet. and dry, such great change. you can see the schuylkill at the vine, headlights moving in the westbound direction, looking great. i mean, there is just nothing more to say about it, looking great. looking good here.

nice and dry, no accidents to report this morning. construction trying to get out of our way, 42 freeway northbound at creek road, frozen camera here but overall you can see what you are working with as you approach 295. it is looking good. volume levels there slowly starting to build, but we can expect that as we push into the 5:00 hour. where we do have construction still out there delaware, 495 northbound between 95 and 12th street. left lane block until 6:00 a.m. and this area, right here, just waiting on right now delaware, also 95 north between route 896 and the delaware service area. left lane block until 5:00 a.m. so any moment now, this should be lifting, in fact, by the time i'm done with the traffic hit it just may do. that will also route 13 northbound ramp to 295 southbound that ramp closed, rahel, back to you. >> meisha, thank you. new video just into our news room. now it, looks like a demolition derby, in collingswood, new jersey after driver smashed into several parked cars. it happened around 3:30 this morning at crescent boulevard and taylor avenue. medics are treating the driver

watch caused the crash? collingswood police say the driver fell asleep. an employee just trying to do his job is gunned down inside a fast-food restaurant, in north philly. stunning customers. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live outside police headquarters this morning with the latest on the investigation and victims' condition. justin, good morning. >> reporter: rahel, good morning, police say that shooter was last seen walking south from that church's on brought broad, as for the victim, he is now recovering this morning from three gunshot wounds. now, at about 5:30, on sunday evening, police report several shots being fired at this church's on the 3600 block of north broad. a crime scene investigation was held therefore several hours sunday, victim 19 year old male worker struck three times in his head, stomach, and lower back. police believe the shooter older black man perhaps late 40's or early 50's, he was last seen wearing a black trench coat, black pants, wearing glasses and has a gray

beard he was reportedly eating inside the restaurant when he and the victim exchanged words about that worker, wiping down tables. >> we believe the fender was inside eating, at which time he became involved in a verbal altercation with a employee, second employee happened to be the brother of the first employee, attempted to squash the argument between both parties, at which time the offender produced large handgun and fired the complaint amount several times. >> at this point the worker was taken to temple, he's recovering in very critical condition we are told atlas check, police also reviewing surveillance video from the area again. that shooter last seen walking south on broad, with large handgun we are told, and more will come out, we are told, later today. rahel, back over to you. >> justin, thank you very much. >> brutal murder mile and a half from that shooting when a woman found dead on the 2500 block of north 17th street.

investigators say the 32 year old woman was beaten to death possibly with a hammer, no details on suspect at this time. >> visitors leaving flowers at the ronald reagan presidential library in memory of nancy reagan. the former first lady died sunday. congestive heart fill your, she was 94. terry okita live at the reagan library in semi, california where she will be burried next to her husband. good morning, terry. >> reporter: good morning, condolances pouring in from the famous and from every day citizens who are using words like gracious, strong, and devoted to describe nancy reagan. >> steady steam of mourners sunday to leave flowers and pay respects to former first lady nancy reagan. >> i thought she brought a lot of classy necessary to the first position of first lady.

the two candidates did agree was calling for the resignation of michigan governor, rick snyder, and the aftermath of the lead tainted water crisis in flint. >> much needed win for senator marco rubio. the florida republican won the puerto rico primary. rubio is trailing donald trump and ted cruz, expert say rubio's home state of florida is a must win if there is any hope of him winning the nomination. voters go to the polls in florida next tuesday. >> pennsylvania governor tom wolf plans to make good on a campaign promise to raise minimum wage. wolf expected to sign executive order today, raising the minimum wage for state workers, and employees of contractors to 10.15 an hour. current raid is 7.25 an hour. the governor is also expected to call on law makers to increase the minimum wage state-wide. >> and police need help finding a robber who is terrorizing local convenience stores. see the unique clothe that could help identify the thief. >> also, this is becoming a

>> the last month the robber has terrorized workers at the convenience stores in mt. ephraim, bellmawr, gloucester township and magnolia. this is surveillance video from the motion recent robbery.

police say he was wearing mismatched sneakers, now, that was on superbowl sunday. police say he robbed three stores in 12 hours that day. in all of the cases the man wears dark shirt, and covers his face. "eyewitness news" on the scene after a driver loses control, crashing into a house in philadelphia's grays ferry neighborhood. it happened on the overnight, or it happened overnight on the 1300 block of south 28th street. l & i now check to go make sure the home is secure. officials say there were no injuries. the cause is under investigation. a driver jumps a curb killing two teenagers walking home from a party in north jersey. another teen was critically injured in the accident, which happened saturday night in north bergin, dozens gathered at the crash scene yesterday to remember the victim. police have charged a person in the accident, but have not released details of the arrest. cause of the crash remains under investigation. well, tomorrow marks the second anniversary of the disappearance of malaysia airlines flight 370.

the families of those who were on the flight are appealing to authorities to continue searching for the plane. they gathered yesterday to mark the solemn anniversary, and ongoing search in the southern indian ocean has found no trace of the plane. >> to be honest with you, i don't think it is the right spot. there is a lot saying it is maybe -- maybe other areas. so, why are we still looking at that area? >> and family members released white balloons tagged with the names of all 239 people on board the flight. authorities expect to end the search in june. >> severe weather in kentucky, family waking to up real life nightmare. a tree crushing their mobile home trapping everyone inside. the family says the roof of their home was just inches from their faces. three people inside managed to escape by crawling out the windows. unfortunately, a family friends visiting was killed in

week. wait until you see the seven day forecast, quiet on storm scan3, little frontal boundary to the north, rain and snow showers across up state new york, southern canada, they stay there. few clouds rolling through this morning, otherwise, mostly sunny for the afternoon. check it out. sunset time tonight, 6:00. how about that? staying lighter much later, and then, next sunday setting at 7:06 as we head into daylight saving time. by the end of the month almost at 7:30, and getting just over two and a half minutes every daylight each day. now officially spring arrives march 20th. less than two weeks, 12:30 in the morning, we have 12 hours and ten minute of daylight that day. but already feeling like spring this week. because the jet stream is on the move it, goes well to the north. and big area of high pressure just sits over the mid-atlantic so 15 to 25 degrees, temperatures above average for the afternoon. quiet, though. look at that, just clouds at times, through the next 24, 48 hours, these clouds tomorrow, on tuesday, just sign of even warmer air. just protected by the high pressure area, all of the storms go to the north.

so pretty much full sunshine for the middle of the week with warm temperatures. check it out. record warmth wednesday, what we would have to beat, 73 in philadelphia, we could break that record, that was set in 2,000. today, milder, 59 degrees, for the high, not as cold tonight, in the four's, and each day it just gets warmer. looks like the peak of the warmth comes in for wednesday and thursday, highs in the mid 70s, maybe shower thursday, and meisha by the end of the week we stay cooler but still around 60. >> yes, i know, right, for march, that's just it, early march at that. good morning, everyone, hammy monday to you. great news. that forecast looks awesome. and right now, we are waking up to nice, dry roadways, as well, everything looking pretty good. what you are looking at right now, chesterbrook 202, headlights moving in the southbound direction, at route 252, looking good here. looking nice and quiet. this is exactly what we want to see pushing in to that 5:00 hour. as you can see, things are looking real nice in that area. also, we did have some police activity on the shoulder here at the schuylkill, taillights moving in the eastbound

direction, at city avenue. but again, that has all since been cleared. move in the eastbound direction, looking good. moving in the westbound direction, you can see, plenty of headlights out, there overall both eastbound and westbound at the schuylkill around city avenue are looking good despite the fact we do have the police activitiment again all clear. ninety-five south at cottman looking good. come around the s curve looking good, he can actually one of the places i look at first thing in the morning, indicator of what the morning will look like. so far things are looking pretty good. anywhere you travel on 995 right now looking okay. we do have a hit-and-run on the shoulder of the boulevard northbound, this is past cottman. again, that's on the shoulder, not going to cause you too many slow downs, but make note of it it is out there, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, meisha. and traveling by air, get use today those long lines at the airports, while more people are flying this year, the number of tsa screeners is down 15%, since 2011. the head of the tsa, peter, says the agency is taking steps to do more with less. the general manager at

a close call at nuclear power plant. you can see the big black smoke pouring into the air after transformer caught fire yesterday afternoon. well, officials at the power plant say the flames did not get near the nuclear reactors, and no one was hurt. close call indeed. new tribute to three philadelphia firefighters killed battling the huge fire at one meridian plaza 25 years ago. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, shows you the latest honor for those fire fighters?

how do we honor them after they're gone? >> that question still being answered 25 years after one every philadelphia's biggest infernos broke out at the meridian offers building in center it. >> i it wasn't until after midnight they realized we three of our members still missing in the fire. it was a really her cue lee and effort by the fire department trying to locate these three fire fighters? captain david and firefighters phyllis and james never made it out. >> this memorial across from city hall is the only renmant of meridian plaza, reminder of the three firefighters who lost their lives battling that blaze, and now firefighters athen gin 11 have another way to honor their fallen brothers. on sunday firefighters unveiled memorial that will hang inside engine 11 on south street. reminder of three heroes, and a fire, that raged on for 19 hours. officials say major electrical failures and incorrectly set pressure levels in the building made combating the flames nearly impossible, but
