"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joining us now at cooper university hospital in camden. we end stand the trooper is undergoing treatment there, justin, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, that trooper was brought here to cooper last night suffering from serious head injuries we are told among others. he was returned right into surgery. just behind us here the state police had maintained presence here overnight. the trooper's condition has

not yet been released. "eyewitness news" was here as stream of uniform troopers and other law enforcement agents and loved ones arrived to cooper's emergency trauma center over night. the trooper was air lifted from the crash site, in the west depford area along i295 south between mile markers 23 and 24. portions of 295 south and north near the gloucester county rec scene were closed for hours for investigation causing traffic back up, those lanes have since reopened. new jersey state police say the injured trooper was outside his cruiser responding to car crash, resulting in fire, just after 8:00 p.m. monday when a second vehicle drove into that crash area striking the trooper, that trooper was then helicoptered to trooper and taken into surgery. that female driver remained on scene. now, there are reports of a second injured person not clear if this is driver involved in the initial crash or the female driver involved in the trooper crash investigation. now back out live we are

awaiting identification of that trooper, and the condition update this morning. there are no word yet on charges for the female driver. again, more updates are due out later today. live here in camden, justin finch, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", erika? >> our thoughts with that trooper, justin, thank you. developing right now commuter train derails in central california. amazing images here. one rail car there lies partially submerged in a creek about 45 minutes east of san francisco. authorities say that train derailed when it hit a large tree that fell on to the tracks during heavy rain. nine people suffered injuries, amazingly, no one was killed. the train was caring more than 200 passengers are silicon valley. >> woman and two girls struck by tow truck in kensington. police say the victims were crossing the street last night near b and ontario when they were hit. we're told good samaritan returned the girls ages one and four to nearby st. christopher's hospital. the four year old suffered the

most serious injuries, and is in critical condition. their 24 year old mother is also in critical condition. investigators believe the tow truck driver did have the right of way. >> from witnesses, as well as a business, that has exterior cameras, initially, it does appear that this 53 year old tow truck driver did have a green light. >> the 53 year old driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police. >> kathryn knott returns to court later this morning to ask a judge to reconsider her sentence, knott serving five to ten months in jail for her role in an attack on same sex couple in center city. her lawyer calls that excessive and would like instead for her to get probation and record a public service announcement on tolerance. her two co-defendant pled guilty and both received probation. >> another rounds of primaries in campaign 2016. michigan, that's the big prize today, where both hillary clinton and bernie sand verse been spending a lot of time.

147 delegates are up for grabs. for the democrat. the democrats are also fighting for votes in mississippi. republicans are battling for 59 delegates in michigan and are also seeking votes in mississippi, hawaii, and idaho. >> former new york city mayor michael bloomberg will not be running for president. the billionaire media mogel had previously been considering a run as an independent. bloomberg write, quote, it is clear to me that if i enter the racey could not win. bloomberg would have run as a moderate. >> feeling like spring outside right now. there is some spring cleaning going on with the eagles, the birds are getting rid of some of the players, former chip kelly's brought in. cbs-3 has confirmed the eagles have traded demarco murray to the tennessee titans, four years left on the five year, $40 million contract, he signed that last off season. it is not clear right now what the eagles will get, but the move does create some salary cap space. also, cbs-3 has confirmed that

byron maxwell and kiko al lan so will be traded to the dolphins for a draft pick. eagles nation is weighing in. >> if you ask me, i don't think demarco pants out terribly well in philadelphia, so probably best for both parties. >> maybe looking for something different, financial thing, i really don't know, but, you know, i hope they do a lot better or get a better pick or do something. >> now the deals can't be announced specially until tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. and it is not clear right now if these are all the moves the eagles will be making in the off season. have to wait and see. >> jury awards aaron andrews $55 million in her lawsuit over a secretly filmed new video. the suit names the owner of the national marriott, group that manages the hotel where andrews was recorded. it also names michael barrett the man responsible for the video which was released on line in 2009. andrews thanked her supporters after the verdict was record. >> -- was read.

charged with firing a gun into her home. chester county prosecutors say douglas cohen shot through a window of downingtown home on sunday. that child was sitting on the couch watching it. v, just inches away. her sister was also home. shots went through a second home, as well, no one was hurt. the father has asked us not to use his name. i hope he rots in jail, and who knows know did this before to anybody else. >> now faces additional charges of attempted murder and witness intimidation. judge set bail at $1 million. >> a wild night on the street of philadelphia, here, as police track illegal atv and dirt bike rider as they we have their way through busy street. chopper three overhead along

with police health copter as two suspect recklessly dart in and out of traffic there. from somerdale into north philadelphia. suspect manage, and then got away on foot. it is illegal to operate atv's and dirt bikes on public street and sidewalks in philadelphia. we're told police do not where those bikes are, and we will be following up today. >> police in california say woman led them on pursuit sunday from behind the wheel of her skooby doo style mystery machine. fifty-one year old sharon herman took off during routine probation check. she drove through red lights, and at speeds of more than 70 miles an hour. eventually, she ditched that 90 styles caravan and fled. police are still searching for her this morning. and no mystery here, 15-foot tree stuck in the front after car's grill. it happened back in january, and rosell, illinois. police department just released these images, hoping to deter people from drinking and driving. something they charge this driver with doing while the

weekends if you are outside pretty cool this time of year. low 40's saturday, 50's where we should be, yesterday we made it to 61 degrees for the high temperature, so if you liked yesterday, you will love today, near 70 tomorrow. well into the 70s, and it stays like that through the rest of the work week. already, mild this morning, check it out, dover, delaware, 50 degrees, mid 40's now interior south jersey, low and mid 20's around palmyra new jersey, 43 degrees out in malvern, close to 50 at this hour, similar numbers to the north and west, cold pockets in the deeper valleys in allentown, 43 degrees, some of the colder air gets trapped, quakertown typical cold spot as well as 39. little ban of rain moving, that's the sprinkle i was talking about, actually you want to argue it is warmfront coming on through, warmer air upper atmosphere, left with mix of sun and clouds through the rest of today protected by high pressure being look at the future weather model showing nothing, deep amount of sunshine coming at us tomorrow.

a new jersey state trooper fighting for his live. he was hit by a vehicle after investigating a vehicle on i-295. he suffered injuries and was
