police commissioner richard ross in the front row, the officer told an incredible story, officer hartnett, telling an amazing story of strength, courage, and ultimately, survival. >> shots fired, shots fired many. >> reporter: voice of the wounded officer jesse hartnett calling for help a as he is ambushed and shot inside his patrol car january 7th. now, after arriving at the criminal justice center, hartnett's voice heard once again, this time from the witness stand, calmy recounting with no visible emotion those terrifying moments, as accused gunman edward archer allegedly fired, shot after shot, into his car, and then his body. >> i heard shots hitting the door panel. i then started to hear glass breaking. i could feel multiple gunshots hitting me and my arm. my bloodies pouring on me at my leg. i can't not feel my arm. >> it is amazing. it is amazing that he is

alive. >> reporter: officer hartnett, who spent 15 days, in the hospital, under going seven surgeries, so far, testified how, with his left elbow virtually destroyed by the bullets, he chased, shot and caught the suspect. i knew i needed to get help. i had no pulse in my arm. so they took a vein, out of my leg. >> i cannot imagine, under circumstances like that, anybody doing what he did. he is, truly, truly brave. >> reporter: driven from the courthouse following the hour long hearing, officer hartnett, now face is still more surgeries, his accused attacker held for trial, on all charges, as a man, identifying himself as a member of the suspect's family, asked for understanding. >> he has already had a positive reputation. i just want them to keep that in mind and keep in mind that his family is suffering right now as well.

holly burlington county about the sentence the judge imposed, cleve. >> reporter: ukee, kyle crosby was -- crosby was very sad today in court, very remorse all but long before this he went to great lengths to cover up his wife's death, and then avoid arrest. now, erika crippen, 26 years old, died, right around new years eve of 2014. she disappeared on that night and was not seen, again, for more than two and a half months. she was mother of two including having an infant daughter with kyle crosby. now her family became suspicious when she didn't hear from erika for days and kyle started asking for extra help with baby-sitting. police arrested him in january m his car during a traffic stop and then using his gps they founder contact's body. she was bound, duct taped and dumped in the woods in maryland. he admitted to choking his wife to death this past december and pleaded down to

murder, from murder tore aggravated manslaughter and hindering prosecution. before his final sentence erika's family and friend spoke. >> i will not stand here and say i forgive you because i don't think i ever will but i truly hope you can take this time to become a better person so you will never hurt anyone else ever again. >> reporter: he was sentenced to 31 years in prison and his mother had been charged for allegedly tampering with evidence and hindering arrest. the those charges were dropped. live from mount holly, cleve bryan, "eyewitness news". police arrested a suspect in the the shooting of the man inside a church's chick men north philadelphia a ronald graham is charged with aggravated assault. police say graham was involve in the verbal altercation before the shooting near broad and venango. victim did survive. concern is growing among dog owners over a rising number of cases on have parvo in our region. disease is extremely contagious and can be deadly. at palmyra cove nature park, the clouds are moving in. we have had a few clouds here and there today but mainly sunny, blue skies, nice and warm, another record breaker but take a look at the showers encroaching on the area we have showers over western pennsylvania, and upstate new york and even in the the poconos right now. eventually this will give a south and east ward push through the overnight hours and we will start to get showers in here as i will show you, they will last, nearly generally pretty short lived showers moving through and when we are all sleeping but may wake up to clouds tomorrow morning. heavy rain that has been impacting deep south has shifted ever so slight the will hi today but note that is corridor of moisture just continues to stream in and eventually we will get our fair share. we will have some severe weather issues across the deep south today with heavy rain over portions of mississippi and in louisiana, many spots have pick up over a foot of rain in the past 48 hours. look at these totals, ten to 15-inch mark that is your blue and green, from portions of eastern arkansas right through the region here.

cell phone video shows chaos, in a spirit airlines cabin, a brawl breaks out between a group of women on the plane. there is hair pulling, pushing, and it looks like someone throws a punch. other passengers and a flight attendant can be seen trying to break this thing up. >> witnesses say it started after spirit flight 141 landed, apparently, a a few passengers were playing their music loud, passengers close got angry, words were exchanged, and then this erupted. >> i would be really afraid because of all of the, you know, security and issues with that right now. would i think that was bigger than just two girls fighting over music. plane is last place you would want to do something like that. >> reporter: witnesses say the fight didn't last long. once it was announced, police were called and things calmed down. >> would i freak out, more so then anything else. i would be scared because you are stuck on the plane there is no where you you can go. >> reporter: no one was seriously hurt. one person was cited.
